You really should work directly with Trimble or your Trimble distributor on this. http://www.trimble.com/technical-support.aspx I have Trimble and Pathfinder office but this is more technical than I go. Whenever I have any problems, I just contact my distributor (Seiler Instrument out of St. Louis) and get my questions answered that way. Find your distributor here: http://www.trimble.com/locator/locator.aspx

I found in another thread I believe that there are certain cleaners that work to remove all of the temp files and clear the cache. The utility that I use can be downloaded from: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/

Everyone here and the original poster want to split lines at intersections. What I am interested in doing is doing this for my utilities. What I want is for the lines to split at asset points (valves, manholes etc) do the above tools work for this. My networks are a mess and I need an easy way to fix this issue.

I too have the issue with everything Maplex being grayed out. I didn't enter an authorization code or check that I wanted an evaluation but I was under the impression it was being included in 10.1 for all license levels. Perhaps I was misinformed. I tried enabling Maplex in 10.0 and it wouldn't let me do that at all so something has changed with 10.1

I'm baffled, I created a new test domain and now I am able to click the dropdown for domains everywhere. Must of been some glitch or something. Would be nearly impossible to replicate. I do think you need to look into the problem with those links in IE 9, by the way Firefox updated to version 6 when I opened it and it works fine still.

Not sure what the licensing has to do with the website but I have ArcEditor and am using IE9. I tried Firefox 5 and it came up just fine. Clearly there is some sort of bug in the way the site interacts with IE 9.

Uh, neither of those links worked, all I saw was what is attached. And, when I try to click on default values or Domain with no subtype set it won't let me do anything but perhaps your links addressed that?

I was trying to determine the best way to standardize my attribute table. I thought first I would just use a coded value domain but I am unable to without creating a subtype first, I don't understand this but figured I would just create a blank subtype to create the coded value domain, trouble is subtypes require a Long integer field which when exported to a shapefile are meaningless, just a number in a field. So I decided to just create a new subtype properly. I attempted to delete the before mentioned domain and I get the error "Failed to delete a domain from the database. The domain is used by an attribute rule" Trouble is I removed that "attribute rule but it still wont delete. The idea of subtypes and domains are a great idea but this locking problem and the subtype field requirement of being an integer rather than String is an issue for me. Any help would be appreciated, for now I will just create the subtype and leave the domain.
