Is there a way to edit a geodatabase schema without having to stop services? This has become a huge headache for me. Everytime I have to make a small schema change or add a new feature to a feature dataset, I have to stop all services related to the dataset make the change, ensure it is registered as versioned again and then restart the services. It takes three or four times longer than it should. Also, there needs to be an easy way to check to see if a dataset is versioned with a symbol or something. It takes forever to check every single dataset to make sure it is versioned before I restart services.

Yeah I use that unique values button all the time for that reason, just to make sure that I am formatting the Query statement correctly.

Mine didn't have times, I just selected those two dates from the list that is generated when you click Get Unique Values, it automatically put it in the form of 2009-06-03 00:00:00. So I guess the answer to your question is that yes, apparently the time is already included with the date type. The field is just displayed like this: 6/03/2009.

Alec I tried GPSDATE >= '2009-06-03 00:00:00' AND GPSDATE <= '2009-06-22 00:00:00' For my feature this selected only features with a GPS Date of 6/3 to 6/22 and no others.

Error while Performing Edits for GraphicFeatureServer.ApplyEdits seems to be the culprit but I have no idea what this means.

I didn't download a map to my device. I'm using Collector online.

The log repeatedly says a database error has occurred after I attempt to add a feature, nothing more. The source is featureservice.mapserver. The service featureservice appears to be running. Yes I know simple name but the idea was this was a test service. Fiddler doesn't return anything on a click. Also interesting is that I apparently can edit existing points in AGOL. However, even edits will not post from Collector. Again, I am able to edit one of my features without issue in Collector and in AGOL.

I am using an on-premise server. It doesn't appear I am able to add features in AGOL either. It says click to add a point and then nothing happens. I have several feature layers present in this particular map and none of them appear to work, actually one works for some reason but the rest don't. I have done some schema changes, would that cause the issue? If so, how can I fix this issue?

Yeesh, that isn't good. I've found Collector to be very handy but has a lot of little bugs. Right now mine is saying update failed and I can't figure out the reason behind it.

I've had this issue before. What I have done in the past is just go back to the Map in AGOL removed the feature layers and readded them. Not the best solution but is effective.

When I was testing Collector I made a test feature but got a message that the update failed-updates could not be sent and I can cancel or retry. Cancel abandons the feature and retry returns the same result.

Mike, This really needs to be a part of Collector. We need to be able to customize the experience to make this app the best. I typically use a Trimble for GPS collection and the software allows me to determine which fields are required and which are not. Of course this is independent of SDE but I would think that whether or not a field is nullable should have nothing to do with whether or not it is required in Collector. Of course, if a field in SDE does not allow null values then I could understand why this could be an issue not to require an entry. In that case, a default value could be created to keep this from being an issue. Just my two cents on the issue.
