Hi Donald, Are the fields you are joining by the same type of field? If you begin an editing session are there any leading spaces in one but not the other? If you'd like to upload your data I can take a look at it as well. Best, Melanie S.

Hi Miles, Attached is a 10.0 model that can be run as a GP tool. It is currently set up for a shapefile, to run it on a feature class you'll need to change the expression from FID to OBJECTID. Best, Melanie S.

If you just want squares, all of the same size, can't you just shift the points systematically so that (maybe by modifying the easting and northing values) and then use the centroid tool? Going off of this idea, you could create the squares based on the points as centroids and then in an editing session, select all of the polygons and shift them so the bottom left corner snaps to the point. This way, you wouldn't be changing the point data. Best, Melanie S.

Hi Robert, I'm not sure why it doesn't work with certain states but am curious, does it work if you turn off background processing by going to Geoprocessing > Geoprocessing Options... > Check off Enable? Best, Melanie S.

Hi Amir, I'm not sure how you're data is set up so I am assuming you have large polygons that intersect multiple sections of the grid. 1. Run the intersect tool with the polygons and grid as the inputs 2. Add a field called poly_area, calculate geometry to get the area of the intersections 3. Run the Spatial Join tool to attach the area of the Grid feature class to the output of the intersect tool 4. Add a field called percentage, calculate this to be poly_area/grid_area 5. Run the Spatial Join tool again to attach percentage to the grid Is that what you needed? Best, Melanie S.

Hi Vasil, This is currently not supported through arcpy.mapping, I would suggest voting this idea up as it addresses what you are looking for. Best, Melanie S.

Hi Richard, You can do this by using a combination of the Intersect Tool, Spatial Join Tool, and Field Calculations. Add a field called val_percent, calculate this to be your value field * percentage 6. Run the Spatial Join tool again to attach val_percent to the grid, in the Field Mapping, right click val_percent and select the merge rule of SUM Best, Melanie S.
