Yes, if the web map is just referencing the web layer, it should display whatever was stored with the web layer. Melanie

Hi Marc, Sorry for the slow response. What you are seeing is expected behavior - the updates to the pop-up you made are stored with the web map, not the web layer so when you overwrite the web layer, even though the web layer's pop-up is overwritten, the web map is displaying the pop-up configuration you saved with it. Similarly, if you save a copy of the original web layer with a different pop-up, that configuration stored with the copied layer is not going to be updated when you overwrite the original web layer. TL;DR: The original web layer is always overwritten with what is authored in Pro, any configurations saved with different layers or web maps are not updated when the web layer is overwritten. Hope that explains it, Melanie

Hi Simon, Server based services (map image layers, web tools, etc.) as well as web layers that are cached (scene and tile layers) require access to the admin API, so yes, you would need to change your security settings from the default option for the Esri Azure template. We're working on improving this experience with future releases. Thanks, Melanie

To clarify a bit more, when you overwrite from Pro, the pop-up is completely overwritten - if you had originally authored your pop-up in Pro and are overwriting using the same map, it might look like the pop-up is being maintained when it actually isn't. We have plans to make this a better experience where you will be given a choice to either maintain the web layer pop-up or replace it with what you have in Pro but as of right now, it always replaces. Thank you, Melanie

Hi Steven, What version is your federated server? Are you still getting the error that your server role is licensed on the ArcGIS Server or that the federated server version doesn't support web tools? For the geoprocess server, is access to the admin API available through the admin URL? Thanks, Melanie

Hi Cory, It sounds like you're adding the CSV files through the map viewer where the 1000 feature limit exists. If you have an organizational account, hosted feature layers are what you'd want to work with instead. See this help topic on how to Publish hosted feature layers. Note that public accounts do not support hosted feature layers. Melanie

ArcGIS Online is able to handle more data than 1000 features - what's your exact workflow? As for ArcGIS Pro, you can add and display very large datasets, these can be local (FGDB, shapefiles, EGDB, etc.) or web layers. On the publishing side, Pro does not expose the max record count parameter when sharing to ArcGIS Online because the map viewer no longer depends on that setting to determine how many features to display. The bug stems from Pro depending on the federated server name instead of a unique ID. When the web adapators are on the same machine, the names of the federated servers are likely to be the same so the first server in the list is always used. As a workaround, you can change the names of your federated servers using the following steps: Go to https:// <your portal>/portal/sharing/rest/portals/self/servers Note: you may need to manually generate a token and append it to the URL if your portal is 10.5.1 or earlier, you can do this at https://<your portal>/portal/sharing/rest/generateToken Click on the Server ID for the non-hosting server Click Update Server Modify the Name of the federated server, this can be as small of a change as updating the casing or you can completely change the string 5. Re-paste the admin URL and click Update Melanie
