Hi Janet, If these graphics are associated with a location on the map you should create them in data view; this way when you change your data frame in layout view, the graphics will resize and move with the map. Graphics made in layout view are not associated with a spatial location and are the equivalent of a legend or north arrow. Best, Melanie S.

Hi Chase, When you say the table disappears, do you mean it removes it from the Table of Contents or its being deleted completely? Thanks, Melanie S.

Hi Bailey, What projection was your data originally in? I would suggest defining your data back to the original coordinate system and then using the Project tool (not Define Projection tool) or change your data frame coordinate system. Best, Melanie S.

Hello, You determine which layer you are editing in a couple of ways. 1. You can only edit one workspace at a time so if some of your data is in a geodatabase and some shapefiles, you wouldn't be able to edit both in the same edit session 2. When your data is in the same edit session you need to select the correct feature template to make sure you are creating the features you want to. I would suggest starting your edit sessions by right clicking the layer you want to edit > Edit Features > Start Editing... Best, Melanie S.

You can add a field by opening the attribute table, clicking the main table drop down and selecting Add Field. If you have trouble finding that option you can always use the Add Field tool . - Melanie

Hi Mel, You would need to use a combination of the Make Feature Layer tool, the Add Join Tool, and the Feature Class to Feature Class tool which can output a shapefile. Take a look at the attached model. Best, Melanie S.

А colleague send me his map, but I have troubles opening it.. I mean, I can load it in ArcGIS, but I can't see anything on it and the layers have this "!" next to them.. Is there a way to open his project to see what he's been doing? Thanks! Hello, The data is not stored in the map document , the layers are only referencing the data. As you only have the MXD, not the actual data it was referencing, I would suggest you have your colleague create a map package. Best, Melanie S.
