Kory Kramer Kate Newell I am able to repro: Took her schema Added PARCEL_CODE_TEXT field as a text field; Populated with 12 digit numbers as per her screen shot; made a permits table with 3 fields: SITE_APN, SOMETHING,and SOMTHING_ELSE, all text Populated the PERMITS table with SITE_APN = PARCEL_CODE_TEXT using append, and other two fields with some random numbers; Joined as per I don't think it's a data issue, I think it's a field type and "Keep Common" issue. I was going to try with different field types, but it's "Miller Time".... Kate, I share your frustration, but glad you brought this issue to Geonet, where at least half of my problems get solved by others far smarter than me. Unfortunately, I really don't have a work-around for this one. I trust that Kory will be able to get this in front of the right folks.

For Reports, it looks like they're looking for use cases: Creating Reports in Pro. I never was impressed with the report function in Arc, I do all my reports in SSRS, so won't be much of a soldier in this fight!

On that note, how is the FGDB being created? That might have some bearing...if you create it in arc versus Pro....

Kate Newell I have tried to repro your issue with many combinations of join types, rules, and join fields (e.g text, numeric, GUID) and definition queries, and cannot repro in 2.2. While you've figure out a workaround, I'd love to see a zip file of your data (if you can share it). I support a number of folks that spend all day doing complex joins, and am nervous that this would effect them (if it is indeed due to some quirk in the data, e.g. the behavior occurs if the number 9 appears after the number 5 in the fifth row of the joined table after 2 PM on odd days of the week). If you can't share your data, how about a blank schema?

You're not going to like this, but you're going to have a miserable Pro experience with that budget processor and slow memory, regardless of # of cores and getting "Optimal' in "Can I run it". I'm having your same experience with the opposite-of-budget-hardware. With regards to deciding to call tech support, PLEASE!. Exactly what we need is more than one or two people out of the hundreds (thousands) calling TS with performance problems. If they can repro your issue, it will get fixed. It has been my experience that the development team takes seriously reproducible issues. It doesn't matter if your data is coming from a SDE on another planet and 4,232 network hops away, a local FGDB on a class 50 SSD, or a floppy drive on a TRS-80. Your expectation that it should perform as well as, if not better, than the same data source on Arc is not only reasonable, but IMHO a "business requirement": The software which your business depends on should not get slower with the next version. Call TS!

Not seeing this in 2.2.1. What version/types is the source data, how are you doing the joins, what types of fields are joined, are they indexed....

It's interesting that the most useful (and functioning) ESRI tools are either unsupported dev tools, or third-party add-ins. It's like "Dealer Equipped Options", only you have to get the dealer to equip the optional engine, wheels,........

Katie Cullen, that appears to be an Azure issue. I'm assuming different orgs get resources on different Azure instances, which is why this doesn't (yet) appear to be global.

Although I'm glad to see the calc geom thing fixed....I was kinda hoping BUG-000114001 would be fixed by now, that's quite the "deal breaker" for us. I see it "fixed" at 2.3, any chance that could land in 2.2.2? BUG-000099714, BUG-000111642, BUG-000115054, just to name a few are close to the top of my very long "Me Me Me" list...... I get that there are a lot of bugs and not a lot of developers, but you did ask!

THeres really not a lot you can do until you’ve confirmed your machine meets the required specs, which is the FIRST thing tech support will ask you to verify when you call...you are calling TS right?

It doesn't. Having to buy a gaming computer in order to run GIS software that previously didn't need a gaming computer is "unsustainable", quoting the folks that I had to ask for $ with which to buy the computers....to your specific question, I think you'll get more ROI on faster processor/more cores versus a high-end NVMe drive.
