In the event that records to fail to send from your mobile device, we need a method for recovering and exporting them, so that they can be appended to the feature layer.

These are the steps for an iOS device

• Install iTunes on your laptop
• Connect the device to your laptop
• Open iTunes, click on your device, and navigate to: File Sharing > Apps: QuickCapture > select the “ArcGIS” folder > 'Save' it to a local directory

• Within that folder, locate a file with a ".qcr" (QuickCapture Recovery) extension.
• Rename this file with a ".zip" extension, and then extract the data locally.
• Within the unzipped folder, find the sqlite database containing the orphaned records.

For an Android device, the process is the same.  However we can use File Explorer instead of iTunes.

One more update before the end of 2022! The QuickCapture mobile app has been updated in the Apple, Google Play and Microsoft app stores. The build number is now 1.16.292.  As usual, all your existing projects will continue to work with this new release, but there is a lot more to this release than that...

Find version 1.5 of QuickCapture now in the Apple, Google Play and Windows app stores. This update makes QuickCapture a more powerful data collection tool, without compromising its simplicity. It adds support for multiple button user inputs, Juniper’s Geode GNS3 high accuracy receivers, and more!

Our next ArcGIS QuickCapture Holistic Testing session will be July 5th from 9:00AM - 12:00PM (US Pacific Time Zone).  We will give a few demos of the new features coming up and give you a chance to test the Beta software yourself.
