We are trying to import some BIM (Revit and IFC) data into ArcGIS Pro 3.1.4. The files are loading successfully, however some elements are not being imported. As there is little or no feedback on these elements that have failed to import, it would be useful to have a log file that is generated to feedback to the user the failed to import elements and reason why (e.g. unsupported feature type, etc). Without this, it is almost impossible to tell in very complex models if everything is being imported correctly. Plus if we are wanting to help improve the process of importing BIM data into GIS, we need to let our modellers know what is not working! The images views below are 1) of the view inside Revit and 2) the view inside ArcGIS Pro. If useful, I can share the Revit file.

Was there ever an update or response from ESRI on this? We are still experiencing this issue a year later.

Good afternoon. I am using Drone2Map on a project and was wanting to see A) the individual image extents (not just the centrepoint) and B) understand the percentage of overlap that was achieved between each processed photo. I am aware you get an image overlap info graphic in the processing report, but this just says the numbe of images that do overlap, not the percentage of overlap...e.g. 70% overlap etc. Would be great to understand this and have the ability to load this information up as a Quality Check before processing the data to understand whether the desired specification has been met. Thanks!

Sorry...then why is this set to a value? I was told a couple of years ago that this was being looked into. So now the party line changes and forces us to have to open another application to actually fix this. Sounds like a poor solution to me. I would of thought with all the effort of integration/collaboration between AutoDesk and ESRI that this would be a relatively easy fix. This will be an ongoing issue for all AEC companies that cannot take advantage of working in the cloud due to security.

Have to agree with @GraceUziallo. I have been told that this would be fixed only to be let down. If insert units have to be set, why not give us the option to set this to the correct value or better yet, honour the units that are already set in the Map Window? Just assuming it is imperial feet is like suggesting I want my coffee with milk when I drink it black. Understand you are the messenger, but really need to send the message back that the current solution is not acceptable to all of your international users of ArcGIS Pro. Thanks

Need to come in here now as this is a real issue that I have been told would be fixed on multiple occasions...yet you are still relying on someone having a seed file for a different application then the one we are trying to use, ArcGIS Pro. AutoCAD might be unitless, but if someone wants to have true interoperability between applications, why not allow the export process to set this if we know what it should be. If AutoCAD is unitless, why is ESRI Inc exporting it out in feet? surely it should be as you suggest, unitless. So options are, don't set it to anything or add the functionality to change this is you are not working in feet. I can change the units in ESRI projection files to be in meters or millimeters, depending on the cad data we are opening, so why can't ESRI honour this when it exports the data?

I am trying to create a report that takes the most recent photo (photo repeat question) submitted and uses this in a report. I have tried multiple variations of the following, but with no success yet. ${#unit_image_repeat} ${if ((unit_image | getValue:"date")==${audit_date})} ${unit_image|size:300:300}${/} ${/} ${audit_date} is in the main survey, and can't get the repeat to see this because it is not in the table. have tried flipping this to the ${CreationDate}, but this does not work either. Our surveyors go out and open and existing survey and then update the survey with new details. they only want to see what the new details are. In this case images. Would welcome any thoughts or ideas on this. Thanks Jeff

@KoryKramer Afternoon. Have just tested this and can confirm the issue is not fixed in v.2.9. Brought a shapefile into ArcGIS Pro v.2.9 and tried to export this using the Export to CAD GP tool. Shapefile source properties as follows: Export to CAD GP Tools settings and then set the environment variable When i read the created file into AutoCAD 2019, the insert units were reading as inches (1) instead of meters (6). Are you able to share the workflow that has been used to test / create this? Regards Jeff

Great to see this implemented in Pro finally. So far, this seems to work really well and like the options to pick which frame to export as well as clipping to the extents.

We are dealing with a large number of LAS files (over 400) for a project and they all need to have a prj file associated with them. Since these are all in the same projection, I would like to ideally drop a file similar to the ESRI_CAD.PRJ to give all these files the same projection. Could one be created for LAS files...possibly ESRI_LAS.PRJ? This would save us a tremendous amount time associating individual files with prj files when they are all the same. Thanks

Good afternoon. I have a folder full of LAS files (circa 400+) all in the same projection. Is there a way to create a default one that would be used by all of these in ArcGIS Pro similar to CAD files with the ESRI_CAD.PRJ projection file? Would be useful if I could set one to say ESRI_LAS.PRJ and this set all of these files at once...rather than having to do each one at time. Thanks Jeff

Ismael Good morning. Just reading this with interest. The last paragraph regarding bringing power automate in line with Integromat. Is there anything we can do from the user community to help bring this forward? We are frustrated that out IT does not want to integrate with Integromat at all because of security issues. Is there a functionality request for Power Automate that we can support? Many thanks Jeff

We are using an Image question with an appearance of Annotate to bring in a floor plan, so our teams can mark up a floor plan with faults. Currently this seems to work great until we get a big floor plan and the user needs to zoom in to see anything. We would like the ability to zoom / pan around so that the user could mark up on the drawing the necessary information in the right location. We are not concerned about where in the real world the actual mark ups are, just need to record on this image. Once the image is stored, I would hope that it would be of the zoomed in location and not the overall image, unless the user did not zoom in. We have a calculation that runs on this question to pulls in the correct floor plan for each building/floor depending on where the surveyor is working.

Just to say, thought I would test in latest version of ArcGIS Pro 2.6.3 and the issue is still present. Would be good to get someone from ESRI Inc to comment on this!
