Hey Gust Annis. You're correct that Enterprise is not currently supported. Snapshots is built to only support ArcGIS Online at the moment, but Enterprise will be supported in future releases. If your organization is interested in using Snapshots for Portal/Enterprise, feel free to reach out at the CartoLab contact page: CartoLab Home Page . If you have an ArcGIS Online account, you can start exploring the functionality of Snapshots now. Also, thanks for trying Snapshots and reporting the issue. The CartoLab team will add in a custom error for Enterprise lack of support (instead of the confusing loading indicator). Thanks!

I'm trying to write a Web Tool (GP Service) that references a hosted feature service that I have published in Portal. For example: I want to do a spatial join (intersect) with an input point location to a hosted feature service boundary. If I reference the feature service REST endpoint in the operation, it works fine. However, publishing as a web tool requires that I choose 'copy' the data and cannot access it by reference because it says the service is not registered with the server. Ideally, I'd like to write a Web Tool (GP Service) that operates by reference to the actual data and not needing to copy any data. I tried using a combination of ArcGIS API for Python and ArcPy. Instead of referencing the item by URL, I used `gis.content.get(id)` to get the item by ID and tried passing the feature layer `.layers[0]' into the Spatial Join operation. That didn't work. How do you write ArcPy scripts to work with data/services as hosted feature services without needing to copy any data when publishing GP Services?

I saw the same error message recently when troubleshooting issues with Collector. It turned out the basemap specified in the web map was a vector tile basemap, which (to my knowledge) is not supported in Collector yet. To those experiencing the same issue, change your web map basemap to a raster tile service basemap and try the download again. Also, the error is only displayed on Android. iOS users will experience an app crash with no error message.

The ArcGIS API for Python states that an item has access to a shared_with property. However, I am not able to access it. Anybody else run into this issue? Here is the URL in the documentation: https://esri.github.io/arcgis-python-api/apidoc/html/arcgis.gis.toc.html#arcgis.gis.Item.shared_with I need to find out what groups an item is shared with. For reference, I'm using the 1.3.0 library... so maybe I just need to update to the latest 1.5.0.

I know this is an old post, but have you found a solution for this? I imported a dataset that already had these fields setup, which are not auto-populating.

Thanks Owen Evans, this is helpful. That is quite a clever solution and even allows for the potential of users to edit specific tabs by editing the different Map Journal apps. It's good to know this can be done. Also, thanks for the quick response.

A recent blog article on Esri Story Maps Developers Corner illustrates the ability to add custom HTML elements within the Story Map Journal side panel. I have been able to confirm this functionality using the Story Map Journal template, but would like to know if this is available in other Story Map templates, specifically the Map Series template. There is a Story Map that EPA has created that utilizes custom HTML in their application (which is based on the Map Series template), but I haven't been able to figure out how this was done. Is it possible that custom HTML elements in the Map Series template are supported in a hosted Portal release that isn't yet supported in ArcGIS Online?

I'm running into the same issue. It would appear this hasn't been implemented yet in the Beta. Can anybody from Esri confirm?

Has anybody had luck using the Geoenrichment with a proxy setup at developers.arcgis.com? `.../rest/services/World/GeoenrichmentServer` works fine, but trying to access '.../rest/services/World/GeoenrichmentServer/Geoenrichment/Enrich' gives me a 401 error (you do not have permissions). Suggestions? My domain is white listed and I can access the base REST endpoint fine, I just can't get to the additional routes that I need to actually use it.

Thanks for the follow-up Owen. I just checked again and the 'configure app' button is not showing. I'll confirm with other members of the group today. Also, I'm the owner of the group and the administrator of our ArcGIS Online organization, however I am not the owner of the story map. It looks like from your testing, that it should be showing up; I'll contact Esri support to dig further.

Thanks for the quick reply. It would appear Esri hasn't implemented this in the 4.x API. For now, creating a new feature layer and removing the old one every time I filter. It seems to be fast, but I can guarantee it's not efficient.
