I created a web experience with Experience Builder and had our HR run it through their accessibility checker and it came back with there being a broken link. Problem is that I didn't put the link in - it seems to be built into the code. I was told the link is https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/8916caba72ca446e9ff02245165c940a/page/page_0/assets/exb.ico When I inspect the page through Chrome and search for exb I see: <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EDGE" /> <title>Experience</title> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="assets/exb.ico"> <base href="/834/experience/"/> And through AGOL Assistant I search for exb and I see in the description section: "typeKeywords": [ "EXB Experience", "JavaScript", "Ready To Use", "status: Published", "version:1.3.0", "Web Application", "Web Experience", "Web Mapping Application", "Web Page", "Web Site" ], and in the data section: "exbVersion": "1.3.0", Where is this link in AGOL Assistant and how do I fix or get rid of it? If I delete the lines referencing exb through AGOL Assistant will it remove it?

The one I'm doing in particular, but I would eventually want to do it for all feature layers, is walkability.

My organization has open data posted on their hub. We are trying to allow users to download/export as fgdb. This post shows a way to enable this download format, yet when I alter the setting of the feature layer the next day the setting is unchecked and it still doesn't allow downloading in different formats - still the spreadsheet, KML, shapefile formats. I've been told that I may have to wait a few days for ESRI to rebuild some indexes, but I've waited almost a week. I've tried rebuilding the spatial index using the button just above that setting, but that doesn't seem to help either.

As far as I know. Would make it a pain to update the shapefile as you would need to add a new shapefile to the map, re-do the symbology, label, popup setting, etc... the same way, and then delete the old layer made from the previous version shapefile. When the map grabs a published feature layer from your content at least you can update and replace the data in the content very easily. As long as the fields haven't changed and the values used to symbolize have the same unique ones it is not a problem.

Assuming that there isn't a limit on having multiple shapefiles added to a map that meet the individual shapefile limitations. It would be truly unfortunate if that work around wan't an option.

I didn't. Kept the data in my organization account. Yesterday was take your grade 9 to work day and my son wanted to create a story map but couldn't do it on his public account without breaking up the shapefile. If it was for an assignment and needed to be on his account he would have had to break the shapefile up.

Hi Simon, You can't publish the shapefile as a feature layer because your account is a public one. Only users of an organization account that have publisher or administrator roles can publish feature layers. FAQ: Can a user with a public account publish hosted feature services to ArcGIS Online? About hosted layers—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS You can add a shapefile directly to your map. Adding the zipped shapefile to your content is pointless in terms of using it in your map as you can't publish it as a feature layer and when attempting to add in your map you can't see it (because it isn't published). I ran into a similar problem with the 1000 features and less than 10 MB limitations (Shapefiles—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS) when helping my son with a story map on his public account. I eventually used my organization account to add the entire file geodatabase as a published layer rather than split the shapefile into multiple ones.

Sorry, was in a rush to leave at the end of the day and didn't properly read your post. First you need to get a listing of all the data frames and go through each of them: DataFrameList = arcpy.mapping.ListDataFrames(MxdFile) for DataFrame in DataFrameList: There is a bunch of info you can get on the data frame. Then in each data frame loop get a listing of the layers in each data frame and go through each of them: LayerList = arcpy.mapping.ListLayers(MxdFile, "", DataFrame) for Layer in LayerList: You can also get a listing of tables: TableList = arcpy.mapping.ListTableViews(MxdFile, "", DataFrame) for Table in TableList: I have attached the script I created.

Hi Gerard, I am not having trouble going through each mxd in a folder. I am having trouble reporting the colour, linestyle type, thickness, point symbol, etc... that a symbol is using. There doesn't seem to be any way of doing that. I want to report all the information so that someone could, if needed, recreate the mxd from scratch and get the same result - or if I want to know how the mxd was at certain times and report on it and compare with other times in a table format, without having to back up the mxd and opening it up to see all the settings, symbology, etc... .

Hi Devin, I don't know if this is the best way to do this (probably not), and it doesn't do subfolders (Gerard's code seems to do this) but this is what I do (it works 😞 ##Set the mxd folder path. MxdFolderPath = r"C:\GIS" ##Loop through each file in the folder. for FileName in os.listdir(MxdFolderPath): FileFullPath = os.path.join(MxdFolderPath, FileName) ##If the file exists then... if os.path.isfile(FileFullPath): ##Initialize the file extensions to look for list. FileExtensionsToReportList = [".mxd",".Mxd",".MXD"] ##For each file extension to report on... for FileExtensionToReport in FileExtensionsToReportList: ##If the file ends with the file extension to report on then... if FileName.endswith(FileExtensionToReport):

Hi Devin, I have created a Python script to give info on all mxds in a specified folder. The output is a separate text file for each mxd. I based it off of this page:https://community.esri.com/thread/19655. I found that not all available document/layer/table... info was being reported on so I used this page http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#//00s300000008000000 to get as much info as I could (although I am having trouble getting data driven page info). There is still info I would like to get out (like feature symbology), but this is the best I could do/find.

I am writing a Python script to run a model builder model based off of variables. I can get all the way to calling the model itself but then I get the error message: unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'builtin_function_or_method' and 'str'. When I use the actual model name (arcpy.StreetNameListingModel_TBX()) it works but I want the model name determined by a variable. Is it possible? I have tried with quotes in different places, combining the needed text before using, but none of it works. CODE import arcpy
##Set folder location of the Toolbox.
ToolboxFolder = r"C:\GIS\Street name listing"
##Set the name of the Toolbox.
ToolboxName = "Street_Name_Listing"
##Set the model name.
ModelName = "StreetNameListingModel"
##Call the Toolbox.
arcpy.ImportToolbox(ToolboxFolder+"\\"+ToolboxName+".tbx", "TBX")
##Call the model.
arcpy.ModelName+_TBX()

Hi All, I want an ArcMap definition query so that the layer only shows features based off of what the computer login user name is. I have a field named USERNAME that would contain different user names. Then I would use the definition query to only show and label those features that have the same computer login name. For example: USERNAME = SYSTEM_USER. I can get user name and PC name to label using Python but I want to query on user name and that uses SQL. Can it be done? Thanks, David

Hi All, Is it posssible to perform any math on dynamic text? For example I have the area of a SDE park layer in SHAPE.AREA, but it is in m2 because the layer is in NAD_1983_UTM_Zone_17N. I want to show the area in hectares (m2 / 10000). How do I do this? Also, is it possible to add two (or more) fields together and display it in dynamic text? Adding fields in a SDE layer everytime I want to do some math is not a feasible option. The labeling allows math to be done, but I want it in dynamic text where it doesn't cover the features in the map. Thanks, David

Hi All, I get a red exclamation mark for my my ortho mr sid image (MG3 compression type). My other two MG2 compression type sid files show up fine. The MG3 one shows in my ArcMap when I publish it but doesn't come up in ArcReader, all version 10. This is all on the same machine. Am I missing a dll for ArcReader or something? Thanks, David
