An Arcade Library that can be used in multiple layers, in multiple web mapping applications would be great! It would be like creating a global parameter at the organization level. They could even be shared to groups and outside orgs if needed. I see this a lot when creating some arcade expressions that are referencing feature layers based on the feature location. Being able to include this in the popup for all of the layers in a web map would be huge.

Or something along the lines of having an arcade script stored as an item so that all web maps could reference it.

I went back to my original calculations and it works. Thanks. Now the only issue is the "out of memory" browser error every once in awhile. Hmmm

@ZhifangWang, I implemented the change, wrapping note and read-only text fields with the html, but now I'm getting a different error through the Survey123 page (Screen Shot). I attached the XLS form. Really need this to be fixed for field staff using the application - thanks for the attention ESRI staff. I implemented the fix on the green highlighted rows in the xls form.

Totally agree. I've been banging my head trying to figure out how to select a layer in our ExB application using a coordinate, but can't seem to figure out exactly what I'm doing wrong. <Geometry JSON> is not entirely helpful, especially if the application is picky about how it's formatted. What would be fantastic is having a tool/utility for building a URL with parameters based on the widgets/data sources you have in your map. Hacking the "share tool" shouldn't be the method for doing it and it is not helpful for capabilities such as selecting data. The resulting URL is essentially the selection once it's been completed, not the query itself.

Thank you for posting this idea, I was about to do the same. Our Senior Solution Engineer pointed us to this idea, mentioning we were suggesting the same ability. I will be following this idea and hope that it can be implemented. I understand the challenge of associating the web map with the appropriate map widget and assigning the correct data source... However that is the same workflow for the default templates. If there were a way to specifically tag our map widget with a data source that is provided by an AGO web map, we would do so. Cheers.

I have a pull data that isn't working from the My Surveys, data page. The phone number isn't being populated from a linked csv in AGOL. It works perfectly in Connect and the iPhone app. I tried all the calculation modes in the esri:parameters field. Removed the input parameter I have for phone numbers and the csv is shared with the group.

I agree 100% Currently we are dealing with service interruptions and downtime and find myself pouring over hard to decipher logfiles and trying to understand what the issue is for each error. Why isn't this incorporated into the software to detect the issue and report it in a more readable, identifiable, and potentially self-correcting manner? I'm seeing SEVERE errors in our logfiles for clients trying to reach a service that has been deprecated for YEARS. Why can't ArcGIS Server identify these legacy services and isolate them to another bin. I don't need them in the logfile. Similarly, if a particular service is experiencing timeouts, isolate it, recycle it, and if it continues, provide better reporting. Instead, we're forced to license a separate product for service monitoring which should be included as value-added functionality to ensure uptime.

You're right, not exactly the right thread but the thread has best explanation executing the add layer definition. "on" shows up about a hundred times, I don't think the error is helpful in this case. Thanks

Yep. It's JSON for adding a new layer using the addToDefinition parameter like @MarkC1 outlines. Works for newly created layer but not the one I want.

Hello, I was successful testing this on a newly created hosted feature layer but when I try and add it to my production hosted feature layer I get this message: {
"error" :
{
"code" : 400,
"message" : "Unable to add feature service definition.",
"details" : [
"Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'on'."
]
}
} I ran the JSON through Lint and it was valid. Any insight on why? The hosted feature layers are deployed from an ARCGIS Solution and there's bunch of existing layer and tables.

I am building a web application that uses ArcGIS Identity to authenticate the user and ideally provide access to a private embedded ArcGIS Dashboard without requiring additional sign in. I am able to set up the authentication and parse the token. What I have not found is how to properly use the token to allow access to the ArcGIS Dashboard embedded in a portion of the application. I have not found anything in the documentation but have tried as the source of the iFrame src="<dashboard-url>?token=<token>" or src="<dashboard-url>?code=<token>" but both still show the pop-up asking for the user to sign again. Is this possible? Or is there a better way to go about this?

I have a survey that I have shared the results of through the Collaborate page with a certain group. When I try and access the Data page (https://survey123.arcgis.com/surveys/<id>/data) as one of the members of the group the page begins to load and then freezes. I can access the data through other means as users within this group and the Overview and Analyze pages load properly, it is just the data page that does not. I have tried creating a new group and sharing/unsharing the results but still have the same result. I have no problem viewing the data page when logged in as the creator of the survey. If I share the survey with a user in the update survey section of the Collaborate page that is in a Shared Update Group the data page will load fine for them. But I would like to just share the results and allow for export on the data page.
