Allow access to organization templates from ArcGIS Online Map Viewer

I'm wanting to access our organization templates from ArcGIS Online Map Viewer Create App> Experience Builder. Currently, to access our organization templates we must enter Experience Builder through the App Launcher. Only the Esri templates appear in the Map Viewer Create App feature. 

This would save our users time and, given the primary way many of us create apps, help us more easily let our users know that these custom templates are available and ready for use.

Thank you for bringing this up. Yes, currently when generating app from web map/scene directly, only some default templates are available. This limitation exists because we need to integrate the web map or scene into the template's map widget and set its data source automatically. This process relies on the template configuration, making it challenging to apply to custom templates due to their diversity. I've backlogged this request and we will see what we can do in the future.

Thank you for posting this idea, I was about to do the same. Our Senior Solution Engineer pointed us to this idea, mentioning we were suggesting the same ability. I will be following this idea and hope that it can be implemented. I understand the challenge of associating the web map with the appropriate map widget and assigning the correct data source... However that is the same workflow for the default templates. If there were a way to specifically tag our map widget with a data source that is provided by an AGO web map, we would do so.
