Hi there, I also have an issue with the custom style of the Dashboard theme. The custom colour style (called style3), is by default based on the "dark-styles", the colour you choose is applied to the header and the headers of other widgets. Now, I changed it to not use the "dark-styles" as basis, but the "light" (in ..\app#\themes\DashboardTheme\styles\style3\style.css). So far so good. But somehow, the light styles are not applied when configuring a new infographic widget. By default black is selected for the back ground of the chart / title / description, and white for the text elements. So one has to flip the colours manually for each new chart. We didn't find out where the issue is, or where the background colour is defined... When I choose the standard light style, everything is alright. Any thoughts? What did I miss? Custom Style / based on light ! Light Style (standard) Dark Style (standard, default) Also: When I switch to the default dark-styles, the existing infographic widgets do not adjust automatically, they keep their defined background and text colours. But I guess that's as designed... cc Nicole Ueberschär, Celine Kayitana dashboard theme web appbuilder for arcgis - customization tools

Hi Thomas Puthusserry I have just a question, I think we have a similar issue here. Did you use the "*.mydomain.com" also inside ArcGIS Server and Portal configuration or only on IIS level? If you use the "*.mydomain.com" Cert on the ArcGIS server/portal, do you get a certificate error on e.g. https://servername.domain.local:6443/arcgis/rest or https://servername.domain.local:7443/arcgis/portal if so, do you just live with this, as it is only for internal purpose? Thanks, Annina

Hi there, There is currently a way to exclude specific "spatial relationship layers" from the list in the Query widget, with Web AppBuilder Dev edition. You can add an array of Layer ids to the following variable in "PATH TO YOURAPP#\widgets\Query\TaskSettings.js" currently on line 459 var ignoredFeaturelayerIds = []; It's tedious to list them all, especially in case you only want to display one or two layers and your map contains dozens and it often doesn't make sense to use those other layers for creating a spatial relationship. And it's only possible if you deploy your app on your own server. What I would like to see to enhance the user experience: a) be able to set a default layer to be displayed automatically when "Only return features that have a spatial relationship with features in another layer" is selected b) instead of ignoring, adding layers c) The option to check the layers you want to use in the spatial query in the Widget configuration UI (similar to the selection widget: Set selectable layer(s) in select widget ) Thanks for consideration Related post: https://community.esri.com/thread/215739-ignore-layers-for-spatial-filter-in-query-widget

You can add an array of Layer ids to the following variable in "PATH TO YOURAPP#\widgets\Query\TaskSettings.js" currently on line 459 var ignoredFeaturelayerIds = []; Here's how to get the layer ids: How do I get the ID of a web map layer? It's a bit tedious to list them all, especially in case you only want to display one layer and your map contains dozens. So I was wondering if there is an "easy" solution to: a) set a default layer to be displayed automatically when "Only return features that have a spatial relationship with features in another layer" is selected b) instead of ignoring, adding layers What do you think, would this be worth an enhancement request ?

Hi Derek Law Thanks for your reply, I hope that this will be supported soon. It's a pity that the pop up doesn't honour the related table fields, that's why I might have to disable the pop up in my dashboard: See the second last chapter in this https://arcg.is/amLXn story map.

Ah, I get your point. Maybe a bit tedious (while waiting for the ability to change pop up pie chart colours), but in Dashboard you could do the following: Create a dashboard for each contest (as you do so far but including the map) with one pie chart (showing everything) then activate the selection method in the web map (layer action) and/or a Selector-List with all the precincts with actions to filter the pie chart and the map accordingly. If you want to compare the total and individual, you create one pie chart for all (without impact on selection) and one with the actions enabled. You would then embed the dashboards directly in your tabs in the story map (and not use the web map and iframe in the side panel) and you wouldn't use the pie chart inside the pop up. In my example in the post above I only used the list, but the selection on the map would work as well. I finally left that option aside because it got too complicated. Observe the impact on the pie chart and the map when you select a catchment. There is one pie chart showing the selected areas and one for each using a filter. If you have a large number of precincts, the option to select on the map would be more appropriate. Nevertheless, the feature selection tool in the dashboard could be more user friendly than it currently is, because you a) have to choose the tool first (it's not automatically enabled, if you just click you get the pop up) b) have to decide to use the point, line, or polygon etc. which is for most users too complicated. -> IMHO, there should be the possibility to keep just one selection method and enable the tool by default. But this is a story for the ideas page 🙂 I hope you'll find a suitable workaround.

Hi Andrew Wallick, Did you try to create multiple dashboards (for each of your different "tabs" or contests and types of charts) and embed them in your tabbed story map? We built such a story map series for a customer. Each tab contained a different type of app (WAB-App, Dashboard, Gallery app, web map...). Unfortunately it's an internal application, so I can not share it, but here's an example where I embedded a single dashboard in a Story Map Cascade (second last chapter): https://arcg.is/amLXn I don't know if this could be a (intermediate) solution for you?

Hi Joe, Arcade attributes are now displayed in the Dashboard's pop ups and symbology, but they are not accessible e.g. for creating charts. I don't know if there are plans for that, best to ask the question (or move this thread) in the Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS space. operations dashboard arcade expressions

Hi RJ Sunderman, Here's my use case: We have a payload (comes via rest-json-in) containing encrypted hex attributes. To decode, we have a python script. Ideally we would like to decode that attribute before writing to an output (e.g. fs, bds) and that's why we thought it would be great to be able to run that script within a processor. We are newbies dealing with GeoEvent and still exploring the best way to achieve that. Any thoughts from your side? Thanks, Annina

Did you try to create a "flat" GeoEventDefinition with the attributes that match your Feature Service and then create a field mapper in the service definition? In the input connector you leave what is automatically generated. It doesn't look like that your json has a geometry, true? If yes, you need to create one as well in your custom definition (with the type geometry and the tag GEOMETRY). In my case, there is no geometry, so I created the service with the points in Desktop and added the table and the relationship class (1:M) in the GDB before publishing the service. The GeoEvent Service writes the results into that related table. Would this be suitable use case for you as well?
