Hi @Hannah24, ArcGIS Monitor provides metrics on services, one of them is "instances used". See this help topic, Register ArcGIS Server - collected metrics. Please scroll down to the section titled, ArcGIS Server services metrics. > ... when a new map service instance is created, can it track how much CPU and memory are used during that process? Not explicitly. I suppose you could create 3 serial charts in an analysis view: 1. Instances used for the service 2. CPU of the host machine 3. Memory of the host machine Then observe when the data for chart 1 increases, note the changes in charts 2 and 3. Hope this helps,

Hi @MikaelJ, To confirm: you created a collection for your staging environment, using the expression querying on labels = "staging" and this worked fine. Then you attempted to create a second collection for your production environment, using a similar expression, but this time querying on labels = "production", and this did not work - is that correct? Can you please confirm all of your components that participate in your production environment are labeled correctly? Is the screenshot you provided in your post the complete expression to define the collection? or is there anything else not shown?

The status of an ArcGIS Monitor component is determined by its metrics and reflects the state of the metric with the most severe status. This blog discusses how a registered component’s status is determined and explains how alerts work in Monitor. Hi @ChazArmijo, > 2024.0.0 You'll need to upgrade your ArcGIS Monitor instance to 2024.1 or higher. The notification email content enhancements (mentioned in the original post of this thread) were added in the Monitor 2024.1 release. Hope this helps,

Hi @MichaelJenkins, > Can Monitor 2025 monitor the Object Data Store? ArcGIS Monitor 2025.0 does not currently support collecting metrics on the ArcGIS Object Data Store. Sorry. Right now, Monitor only supports collecting metrics from the ArcGIS relational Data Store. Please see this help topic, Register ArcGIS Data Store. Please submit a feature enhancement request on the ArcGIS Monitor Ideas forum. Hope this helps,

Hi @HenriettaK, > Our organization has configured our notifications to be triggered upon a critical or warning alert being created, but is there a way to filter them down further to only trigger when a critical/warning alert for Response Time Avg or Max is created? Yes this is possible. When you create a notification, you can also specify the metric ID for the metric where you want to set the notification on. For example, in the screenshot above: Component ID refers to the ArcGIS Server component that you want to watch for any critical alerts and Metric ID refers to the Response Time Avg metric of the ArcGIS Server component. > Is there the ability to filter the alerts by alert type or even by component name? I only see the option by ID, which is a bit confusing and not intuitive. We use component IDs and metric IDs so we can be very specific on which component and which metric we want to set the notification on. Sorry. Please submit a feature enhancement request. Hope this helps,

Hi @MichaelBartlett, I was referring to the next Monitor release, not a patch. > But can't I get a list of Metric types and the the corresponding units they should be set to? A simple summary from the table would be sufficient. Here's a screenshot showing all the ArcGIS Server component metrics, FYI, the information can also be found in the Monitor help documentation, ArcGIS Server metrics Hope this helps,

Hi @dericksteinmann, > Hello i'm extremely interested in healthcare especially mapping simulated environments. What hardware would you recommend running on for these high computational environments I'm not clear on what you're asking. What do you mean by "mapping simulated environments" - this is pretty vague. Also, I don't think your question relates to the thread topic. Since you mentioned healthcare, maybe post your question in this forum, Health and Human Services > ... and what embedding techniques would you use for these cases such as vectorized mapping??? Again, I am not sure what you mean by "vectorized mapping". Hope this helps,

Hi @MichaelBartlett, You've encountered a bug that was recently identified and discussed in this thread, After 2024.1 -> 2025.0 (+ patch), all my hosts show their metrics in terms of "connections" I am sorry for the inconvenience. We do have a fix that will be part of the Monitor 2025.1 release coming in November. Hope this helps,

Hi @HannahSturm, In your second screenshot, it looks like you've configured a notification on a component's metrics. So what you're seeing is expected. I suspect you need to configure your notification to trigger based on an alert becoming active, not on a component metric. What do you want to be notified on? Then can you please share a screenshot of how you've configured the notification?
