Thanks for the information, Phil. This is very helpful and look forward to this being supported in the future. If I were to use a custom JS function to return field values as JSON, how would I parse those into a format that would be consumable by a select_one choice list? Thanks, Andrew

Hello, Is it possible to populate a select_one list from attributes retrieved from a feature service? I assume I will need to use a custom javascript function to get the data. I have been doing a lot of reading and I can't find a definitive answer that says if this is possible or not. I'd like to pull the values of a two fields. One field would be the label ("Name") shown on the survey and the other would be the value ("GUID") that would be submitted with the survey. A second part to this is... If this is possible, can this be executed when the survey opens? I'd like this list to be the first item a user chooses from when they start the survey. Thanks!

No I did not. It seems like there is some disconnect between legacy and current functionality. I'm not sure why they both exist or, why they function differently. After all, they do the same thing however the "legacy" (DDP) elements are limited. Why not just eliminate one?

Hey Tom, Ok - I think with your direction I was able to use Arcade to escape the "&" by inserting as Dynamic Text-->Table Attribute". Here is where things get a bit misleading: What I had done previously is insert an attribute by going to "Dynamic Text-->Map Series-->Attribute Then from the dialog I selected the attribute I wanted to add to the layout: What I have found is by going this route, there is no dialog to format the dynamic text. It simply inserts the text "as-is". HOWEVER.... If I insert dynamic text from a table attribute, The ability to insert formatting expressions (i.e. replace the "&" with the HTML equivalent) using Arcade is available: I guess the moral of the story here is that there are two ways to do the same thing BUT only one provides the ability to modify the field values using Arcade. Tom Bole - Is this something that should be addressed with ArcGIS Pro functionality? It appears to be a bit misleading that one way you can use expressions and the other way you cannot. Thanks, Andrew

HI Jay, Yes - the dynamic text works just fine until I add some formatting tags like <FNT></FNT> or <BOL></BOL> Displays As Intended: Displays Incorrectly (Dynamic Text contains "&"): Try adding some formatting tags to your dynamic text and see if you experience the same. Thanks, Andrew

Thanks, Dan. This works great when labeling features on the map however I'm talking about Dynamic Text on the layout. I don't see a way to use these types of expressions when it comes to Dynamic Text. One thing I do not want to do is go in and modify my Attribute table in order to get it to work.

Hi, I'm looking to escape special characters when using Dynamic attribute text with Data Driven Pages using ArcGIS Pro. I have some attribute values that include amphersands and it's throwing my formatting expressions for a loop. I know with map labels it's pretty easy to escape them by using a python expression however I'm not sure how to do this with dynamic text on the layout. Any suggestions?

Do you have any other large files as part of your S123 configuration? Like, maybe a large graphic that is part of your survey? (check items that are in the /media/ folder). The crux of the issue is that there seems to be a timeout in the communication between the Survey123 site and Integromat. Try tracing the traffic with Fiddler and see if you can sniff out any network bottlenecks. -Andrew

Are you referencing a large Tile Layer Package when you upload your survey from 123 Connect? That was my issue. There was a timeout when Integromat was trying to communicate with Survey123. I was able to work with Esri to track down my TPK as the culprit. My workaround is as follows: Publish my survey from 123Connect WITHOUT my TPK Create the webhook in Integromat to the survey. (this worked for me when NOT including the TPK) Upload the TPK using 123Connect. Once you have created the webhook in Integromat to your survey you should be good to go. If you need to make any changes or edit your webhook, you have to re-publish the survey without the TPK. Make your edits, then republish. This is what worked for me. Let me know if you have any questions. -Andrew

Thanks, Craig. I'll take a look at the web experience on a mobile device and see if it'll suit our needs. I'm glad to hear that you are considering a mobile app from the use of a Dispatcher. That would be extremely beneficial for not only myself but I'm sure many other users. -Andrew

Is there an app or workflow for a Dispatcher who might want to access Workforce from a mobile device? Our dispatchers aren't always behind a computer. If they could assign from a mobile device (phone, iPad) that would be ideal.

Hello, We are using Integromat to automate some reporting and email distribution when sending and editing survey responses. I have notice a difference in payload content when editing a response using the survey's webform versus editing a survey response from the inbox on the client app. In an Editing Scenario (editData): When using the field app, all survey attribute information is returned as a collection of attributes in the payload. This is great and exactly what is needed. When using the webform, only the globalid and the OBJECTID are sent in the payload. While this is sufficient in generating reports, it's not helpful when trying to author an automated email about the content of the survey being updated. Ideally, all survey response information would(should?) be sent from either the webform or the field app. Is this "by design" or a bug? Here is the response from the field app(left) vs. the webform (right). Both are edits to the same survey response. The only edit that was made to both of them was the "Status" field. Thank you! Andrew
