buehlerd Attribute Assistant is a desktop tool, and you are correct that it won't work for what you are trying to do here. What might work, though, is mimicking parts of its setup. AA keeps track of the last used value of a sequence in a row in a standalone table. You could set up something similar so that, instead of needing to find the highest value and instead of using the OBJECTIDs, the script assigns sequential IDs starting with the last saved value in the table, and ending when there are no more records needing identifiers. The final step would be to write the last value used to the row in the table corresponding to that incident type so that the script knows what value to start with next time it runs. -Allison

This does not sound like it is related to the original question in this thread. Does the initial extent of the map fall within the extent of your layer and the coordinate system of that layer? A message like that might make sense if you are using a projected coordinate system that is only valid for one area, and the map is opening to another area. I cannot reproduce the message, but this might occur if you are sharing your location with the app, but you are not in the area where data will be collected, for example.

Try this syntax: IIF(isNull([ROADTYPE]),[ROADNAME]&" "&[ROADPOSTDIR],[ROADNAME]&" "&[ROADTYPE]) (added [] around the field name in the isNull() function) Also - make sure that the Field Name field int he Dynamic Value Table points to the field where you want the results to be written.

Not really. You can control the format of how the request is displayed in Crowdsource Manager using a custom popup configuration, but there isn't a Print button as part of the app.

I know, right! I'm working on a way to do this with GeoEvent. It's a bit of a sledgehammer for a thumbtack of a solution, but right now it's the only way I can think to do this and keep the id format configurable to every layer in every map. If you've already got GeoEvent in place, it might be worth playing with too.

Tami Maddio Yes! This is possible as of the version of Reporter release in July 2016. You will need a fairly large string field in your dataset(s) to store the value - I recommend 100 chars. If you will be storing the value in multiple layers in the same Reporter app the location-storing field must all have the same, case-sensitive name in all layers. In the application configuration, on the Form Settings tab, specify that field name in the parameter that starts with 'Optionally, store a text form of the report location.' Save the configuration and go submit a new report! The application will use the following logic to decide what to write to that field: For point layers, the app will first attempt to store a search location. If the search is not used or if a new location is selected on the map the app will attempt to find an address for the report location. If no address is found, the coordinates of the location will be stored. For line and polygon features, the app will attempt the same reverse-geocode or coordinate-storing workflow using the first vertex of the drawn location. See the Crowdsource Reporter help for more information about configuring this app: Crowdsource Reporter | ArcGIS for Local Government

Mark Cooper Sometimes it helps just knowing that something SHOULD work Yes, adding a legend widget would require a JS developer. Knowledge of our API would certainly be helpful, but there are plenty of samples on the developer site that would help ease the learning curve for others. Yes, currently you only get popup info for the layer on which comments are being collected. I can see the need for more information from the other layers, though. I'll put that in as something to consider for a future release.

Mark Cooper Adding an additional layer for information purposes should not impact your ability to add comments to your first layer. Can you elaborate on what you mean by the map no longer allows comments to be added. Is there no comment button at all? If the button is there, can you describe in more detail what happens when you try to submit one? Can you confirm that you have selected the layer for which you'd like to collect comments in the application configuration? There isn't a legend widget in the application, but if the symbology is complex enough that a legend is required, you could add a picture of the legend to the Information/Help panel. Alternatively, you can add your own legend (or basemap) widget by downloading the application code from github, customizing it, and then hosting the app locally. -Allison

Andrew Ciurro Does the URL of your application start with http or https? Browsers are starting to really crack down on security and Chrome recently removed the ability to 'zoom to me' using http and it is likely that other browsers will follow/have followed suit soon as well. If you app URL starts with http: You'll need to turn on SSL in your org to get 'zoom to me' functionality in Chrome. That being said - I don't recommend just turning SSL on in your org without a careful evaluation of what other side effects might be, although enabling SSL is the recommended workflow for new orgs (and is now the default in new orgs). If your app is https: When you initially load the application you should get a prompt to share your location with the application. If you choose not to share this info (or ignore the dialog), the application won't be able to use your location to submit reports either. If you don't see this prompt when you load the application, check your browser settings. You probably denied it once and it now remembers the setting. The steps for clearing this setting will depend on your browser and version. -Allison Edited to add: Here is more info on Chrome's security changes and how they impact ArcGIS: Increased web API security in Google Chrome | ArcGIS Blog

Kristen Erath: This is possible with Crowdsource Reporter and Manager. If you add a filter to the layers in the map that is displayed in Reporter that excludes all features, no features will show up in the application, either. Adding the same layer to another map, but not applying the filter will allow you to use an app like Crowdsource Manager to review the submitted issues, including any attachments..
