I have a serial chart showing number of calls received by month. This groups on date and is set to have a minimum period of 1 month. I would like to add the same information in table form. However, for some reason you cannot group by a date field (and therefore not have the minimum period of 1 month). It seems very strange as the technology can obviously do this as it can create the graph. I just need it in table form. Does anyone know if there is a work around for this as it is vital that customers can see the table as well as the graph. Thanks ... View more

Hi I have a dashboard with a stacked bar graph. Unfortunately, the labels only appear to show the counts of values, not the percentages. Is there any way to to display this (maybe some form of expression?) as I know my customers will insist on it! Thanks ... View more

I have a contextual layer  for Parish boundaries. If the "Bring layer updates to excel" button is accidentally pressed, the symbology reverts to the default and the layer moves to the top of the layer list. Is there a way to prevent both of these actions from occurring? If not, is there a way to disable the button for that layer? Thanks ... View more

I have used ArcGIS for Excel to procuce a map from a pivot table aggregating the number of inspections by Parish. When I change the filter on the pivot table, it does not automatically update the map and you appear to have to go into the layer and click reload. Is there a way this can be done automatically? ... We are migrating our ArcGIS Server to a new virtual machine. I have looked at the requirements/recommendations and there seem to be no fixed rules as everyone's requirements differ. However, one question - should the memory on the virtual machine be reserved? When I was setting up FME Server, it was recommended that it had reserved memory so the memory was always there when it was needed. I just wondered if there were any potential performance advantages. Hi We are using the sidebar instant app to create a map to accompany a policy document for our planning department. This has chapters on various subjects including housing, enviromnent, economy etc. The map has groups of layers relating to each subject. I would like a hyperlink ine say the housing chapter to zoom to the map and switch on the housing layer. Is this possible to do using url parameters? I can't see much info on url parameters with these apps. I guess the alternative would be to create a map for each chapter (which would be a pain!) and only have the relevant data switched on.   Thanks ... View more

Hi We have created routes for our waste collection vehicles in ArcGIS Pro (only basic routing s we were told which round each property was on). This has produced a list of stops and the estimated arrival time at each stop and a route along the network. We now wish to create an animation of the route. From what I see I can do this two ways, neither of which show me what I really want: 1) Create an animation from the points. This shows the time at each stop but where there are parts of the route with no collections, the animation will jump to the next point  2) Create many points along the route and split the route at these points and then animate this. This will animate the whole route but will not be able to see the actual time at any point in the route. What I really want is to be able to show the whole route as in method 2, but also display the time at any point along that route and eventually show multiple routes at the same time so it can be seen if any vehicles are on the same road at the same time, which would cause issues. To do this the rout line would need to be split at each stop and each line segment be given a start/end time. Does anyone know if this can be done in Pro and, if so, how? Many thanks     ... Hi I am using field maps for some retail survey collection. The editable data consists of a hosted feature class containing a point dataset for the sites and a related table for the surveys (multiple surveys for each site) The symbology needs to reflect the most recent survey data and it appears still that the only way to do this is to join the data and save as a hosted feature view and add to the map. This works fine all the time there is an internet connection, but if you need to take the map offline, it downloads fine but will not sync back, giving a very helpful general error code 500. This is a huge issue as not everywhere has a connection. Additionally, when taking photos, you do not always wish to be constantly syncing over a chargable/unstable connection and would rather wait until in range of a decent wifi signal. Has anyone else encountered this and/or know a way to resolve it?   Thanks   ... View more

Hi I am using collector to collect retail surveys (the use class and occupier of each unit). I have set this up to have a record for the property and then a related record for each survey (as one should when setting up a database). To enable this to be user friendly for the surveyor, I would at the very minimum like to label the features so that it is easy to see which features have been updated and which haven't. I would also ideally like to display the most recent use in the symbology (shop, restaurant, office etc). I have found that I can join and save this as a hosted feature view and this allows me to do both of these things and it will show up in Collector. However, it is not possible to set the resultant layer up for syncronisation so Collector will not work offline - this is, unfortunately, a massive showstopper. Hi We have a web app designed using the Zone Lookup template and for the majority of polygons, when you click the map, the correct information is retrieved. However in some cases when you click the map, it does not bring back any information; other times it brings back information about other polygons. Both the basemap and feature services are held on our server and are in British National Grid. This map was produced a couple of months ago and I believe it worked correctly then but now fails. Hi I have got a map in a new dashboard I have set up and it is not using the extent from the webmap. Is there a different place this needs to be set as I cannot find it? At the moment it appears to be using the whole of Europe, which is not the map, organisation or organisation region extent. Thanks Mark ... View more
