"Bring layer updates to excel" resets symbology and changes layer order

Question

I have a contextual layer  for Parish boundaries. If the "Bring layer updates to excel" button is accidentally pressed, the symbology reverts to the default and the layer moves to the top of the layer list.

Is there a way to prevent both of these actions from occurring? If not, is there a way to disable the button for that layer?

Good morning @MarkCooper5 thank you for the inquiry. Can you explain what button or workflow is meant by "Bring layer updates to excel"? Did you mean to reference clicking on the 'update' button after the layer is initially shared?
