Hi We recently upgraded our Server and Portal from 10.5.1 to 10.7.1 but had to revert to the old version as our ancient intranet mapping system didn't appear to be able to read the services from 10.7.1 (this was the same from another 10.7.1 server we tried too). We are planning to create a new server with 10.7.1 and unfederate the current one from Portal and then upgrade Portal, but leave the original server at 10.5.1. This should keep old system going until we have recreated new Portal based intranet mapping. When we unfereate, will the existing services still be available through the same rest endpoint url? We also have a couple of Portal apps using services form the existing server. Will these still work? Many thanks for your help.

Johnathan Hasthorpe I have added a second user variable with a mode of 'button' and this allows me, once I have taken a photo, to add some information about that individual photo, rather than the whole project. This works really well and will be perfect for our Planning Officers going out on site visits where they will capture a number of photos/points per site but may want a quick description of what each photo is. I did try and add a second variable with button mode but it did not appear to work. Is that by design? Also, I saw on a different post of mine that you are looking to add an azimuth variable. This would be amazing. Do you know when this is likely to arrive? Also, will it still pick up from the phone if a bluetooth gps unit is configured for location?

Hi Thanks for the reply - user input variable looks like the way to go. It appears it can only be done via json though. Is that correct? If so, I need to find someone who can help with coding!! I need to capture points, lines and polygons so at the moment, survey123 is no good

Hi I am trying to dynamically symbolise the number of planning completions data by Ward and a user defined time range. For example, my dataset has a row for individual completed planning application, the number of completed units, the year it was completed and the Ward it relates to. I would like to display to create a proportional symbol map that shows the total number of completed units per Ward for a time period set by a filter or a time slider. I cannot work out how to do something like this in ArcMap (10.7) or AGOL. Do you know if there is a way to achieve what I am trying to do within the ArcGIS platform? The final output is going to be on our public facing website so I don’t thing Insights will do what I need as it doesn’t appear to be able to be formatted to corporate styles and does not adapt to different device types well enough.

Hi I am trying to create a visualisation for displaying planning data, which needs to be viewable by the public. PowerBI is by far the best tool I have found for this (Insights doesn't appear to create very user friendly, responsive web pages). However, I need to display the data by Parishes or Wards - these option for location are not available in the ESRI maps for PowerBI. Is there a way to use a custom feature class for location? I know you can do this in the Microsoft Maps of PowerBI so would have assumed this should be possible with the ESRI premium product. I want to use ESRI Maps as you can add reference layers in (although this doesn't appear to pick anything up form my content) Thanks

Hi We are using quick capture to gather information for Enforcement cases. It would be useful to be able to attribute the features captured to a particular case number from our corporate database. I presume there is no way of capturing basic attributes like this in the field and we would either need to do this in a web map back in the office or use Collector (which I think is a bit complex for this) Also, when taking photos, is there a way for it to automatically record the direction the camera is facing as well as well as the coordinates? Thanks

Hi We have collected some photos using QuickCapture and would like to display these on a webmap. Whilst we can view these in a popup, we really want to be able to see a thumbnail as the symbol for the point. I have found this article that suggests something similar is possible for photos from flickr, but it doesnt show how to point the symbol at a unique url for each item. Add geotagged photos to your web map Please could someone let me know if it is possible and, if so, how to d it. Many thanks

Hi I have a Quick Capture project and want to add an extra hosted feature service to it. Is there an easy way to do this? I can select multiple layers when creating the project but the only way to add anything that I can see is via json, which is not really in my skillset! Thanks

Hi I need to take a dataset out using collector to monitor the status of dwellings on planning applications. There is a poylgon dataset for planning applications and a related table showing each dwelling on that application so that the date construction is started and ended can be captured. If I use Collector, this creates a related record for each dwelling, which is OK for small planning applications. However, some have hundreds of dwellings on, which makes scrolling through the pages of related records unworkable. I there any way that the related records can be viewed as a list view rather than separate pages (databases like Access can do this in forms)? Alternatively, is there a better way to collect this? The reason Collector seems to be most appropriate is that, due to poor signal in rural areas, the data needs to be taken offline. Thanks

Hi Does anyone know a way to geocode a csv in Web App Builder - I need to create a feature class that can then be used for another function in the session (routing) - it can be saved to that persons content or destroyed after the session. The data aggregation widget works really well at geocoding and placing the unmatched values, but appends it to an existing feature class, which is not use. Thanks Mark

Hi We have a website built in WebAppBuilder Developer 2-10 and all of a sudden, the Identify Widget has stopped working - it allows you to select the method and dray the shape to delimit the area in which to identify feature, but then it just hangs with the progress bar moving. I have gone back to the saved version rather than the deployed one and it does the same. It also happens on both Chrome and IE. Does anyone know why this may be happening when it worked perfectly before?
