What I found as a type of workaround, is to set the clock on the machine itself to be in UTC. Then the data works as expected in the app in the browser. It would be nice to be able to specify this in the api, but it looks like it defaults to the system time settings to display the data in whatever timezone the machine is in.

I have seen this working in a python toolbox. but I have not yet tested myself. I am thinking that the extra python may have more control over the input drop down list. This is just a hunch based on one other GP service I've seen that I believe had an updating pickList. I've not found much documentation on this either.

HI Kelly, I am helping to develop data for a dashboard for a global org that needs to track vessels that will potentially cross timezones. All of our times are in UTC for the tracking points. When we upload the Portal and view the data in a web map, the time field is being displayed in my local machine timezone. Is there anyway to disable this so that all times are visible to the user are in UTC? This will make it much easier to develop the filters and such and enforce consistency in the app across the globe. This will also ensure that everyone sees the same time for tracking points and that points don't get put into a different date for summary. Thanks!

Hi Anna, Today I encountered the same nasty bug and worked around it by creating an XY Event Layer, then copying those features to a new feature class "in_memory" or "memory" which ever you prefer.

Hi Michael, I don't recall what solution I went with. Currently I am not working with the 4.x api and am trying to get clients to move in that direction. So I've actually taken some steps back and working in 3.x this year (ugh). Maybe next year I can help answer this?

Update - This morning I am attempted to create a MMPK using the GP Tool rather than the Share Toolbar and it worked. I did have issues with being able to access layers from SQL Server, so after exporting them to a FGDB it worked. Those sde layers use to work in ArcPro 2.4 so something has changed, not sure what though. The SQL Server version is SQL Server 2016 SP2 GDR (13.0.5101.9). Are there any known issues with ArcPro 2.5 and SQL Server 2016 SP2?

Helloo, I've got an ArcPro Project that has seen a few updates to Pro. We have a workflow for packaging maps into MMPKS and uploading to AGOL. With ArcPro 2.5 the Package Mobile Map GP Tool started giving an error that the 'table was not found'. I've removed each layer from the map but the error still exists. I've also tried both creating the package locally and uploading to AGOL. Same result on both. No errors or warnings appear during the Analysis step. This is what the log looks like. Is this a bug?

I've decided to go with a server side python web deployment. I am wondering if there is a way to register the portal somehow for this to work in a web tool. I've not found any documentation stating either way. I was thinking the federation would be registering a connection, but perhaps its just not supported to begin with?

Hello, I've created a Script Tool in ArcPro 2.5 that uses the Python API to manage hosted layers. It is not passing the Analyze step in the Web Tool publishing workflow to publish to Portal 10.8. The line where the GIS is being declared is causing a broken project data source error. This is a real bummer. I think I have to scrap this entire model. It is simple, but very critical for copying an empty hosted layer in Portal to a new service for a user to edit in a web app. Any thoughts on whether the Python API can be used in a GP Service? My alternatives are a custom server side app or the javascript api and do it all in the widget. This solution of the python API would be perfect.

Hi Michael, Using the WPF Sample that implements the IOAuthAuthorizeHandler, I was able to use it in UWP within a ContentDialog in a WebView and it worked. The login process was slightly different than just using the Authentication Manager. During the final step I was prompted to entire windows credentials for our coporate login... it looked similar to UAC dialog but was connecting to login.xxxxxxx.com. Once I entered my Windows credentials, it saved and I was not prompted again. I also noticed that it is saving my previously used user profiles, which I was not seeing before. It seems like this is the solution, at least until I gain a better understanding of how all the components work and can hopefully remove that last UAC type login prompt. Thank you very much for you help with this. I am so happy to have something working to get maps into my app! This had been a major hurdle to deploying the app for testing.

Michael, Here is something interesting I just found online. The error message is the same as the one I have been getting. UWP considerations (MSAL.NET) - Microsoft identity platform | Microsoft Docs Troubleshootinghttps://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/develop/msal-net-uwp-considerations#troubleshooting Some customers have reported the following sign-in error in specific enterprise environments in which they know that they have an internet connection and that the connection works with a public network. We can't connect to the service you need right now. Check your network connection or try this again later. You can avoid this issue by making sure that WAB (the underlying Windows component) allows a private network. You can do that by setting a registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\authhost.exe\EnablePrivateNetwork = 00000001 For more information, see Web authentication broker - Fiddler.

Hi Michael, Thanks for responding... I've been swamped with several things so I apologize for the delayed response. The capabilities that are enabled on the UWP app are... 1. Enterprise Authentication 2. Internet (Client & Server) 3. Location 4. Private Networks (Client & Server) I'd like to be able to debug the Esri Authentication Manager to see where the request is failing, but am having issues with debugging on the device. I've been limited to debugging installed App Packages on a Remote Machine which is slow and does not provide a productive troubleshooting environment, at least I've not found a way to be productive with the debugging on the device. When running in VS 2019 it will connect to Portal using SAML login, but on the deployed app I see the image below. I've read the documents in the link you provided, and will look them over again in case I missed something. Enabling the logging is something I've done and will continue to look through those. If I find something useful I will post. I am thinking that I need to place some breakpoints in the Authentication Manager to see how it's use of the WebAuth Broker is being handled and if any other messages are available to describe the error. The formatting of the redirect URI is somewhat of a question mark. I've done jsapi redirects, so this native app seems like it is different. Since it works on my laptop in VS do I need to investigate the redirect URI? Are the App Capabilities the primary thing that would cause an app to work in VS but not when deployed? The app is not being published to the store and is instead side-loaded onto a Dell rugged tablet. We have also deployed it using System Center to another Windows 10 machine, but the SAML Login error was the same for both instances.

Hi there, I've developed a UWP app using the Esri.ArcGISRuntime.UWP v100.7.0 nuget. This app connects to our Portal 10.7.1 using SAML just fine when running in Visual Studio. However, when it is deployed (two machines so far), the SAML login window in the app displays a message that it is... unable to connect to the service. (I will try to get an image of the error to post here.) I will test with connecting to AGOL today. The app is able to download data from our rest api over http This app is working within our companies network and our Portal is using AzureAD users. Does the app need to be registered with our AzureAD as well? That is a question I've been formulating for our IT department. What would cause the SAML WebAuth to work on my machine in VS but not in the deployed apps (Windows 10 w/ cert installed to trust app)? Thanks! Rich

Andrew, I did some testing this morning and found that when publishing to the portaladmin, built-in account, to the GIS Server on port 6443 and adding that as a layer to Portal, the Offline Area Pre-Planned packaging works. When publishing the services from Pro or ArcMap through the web adaptor, the Pre-Planned Areas fail to download onto the Device. The On-Demand areas in Collector do work using the SAML Portal Users. Since we are using SAML to publish to Portal, the workaround really does not provide us with a solution, just a means to test the issue. I think we are limited to using the On-Demand workflow, but for how long? Is this issue something that can be patched, or do will we have to postpone our plans until a later release? This change from Pre-Planned to On-Demand drastically changes our implementation plans company wide. It seems like this could be a critical issue that would impact a lot of enterprises and a patch could possibly help a whole lot of customers facing the same issue. I will talk to my manager and see about getting notifications from Esri support on the issue since I don't have the contact myself. Thanks! Rich
