ArcMap has a nice feature of selecting multiple layers in the Table of Contents and turning them on / off. This does not appear to be possible in ArcPro. Why? Can I request that this be added as a feature? Thanks, Rich

That is true, it is possible to create a new field then delete the old field and rename the new field to match the old field name. The fact that you cannot have two fields with the same name makes the solution a little bit of a hack and not a solution, especially since it works in ArcMap.

How is it possible to undo a field calculation in ArcGIS Pro? In ArcMap the edit session allow for undo, in ArcPro what is the solution? There is a solution for this right? Otherwise field calculations are not safe.

Hi Jeff, When navigating to a new page the page query does perform the filter on the features as you describe. Thanks, Richard

I'm making a map series in ArcPro 1.3 and have page queries set on several layers in the TOC. At the most basic level to demonstrate the issue I am having, when I change the size of the symbol for the layer with the page query, the page query ceases to filter the data and all of the points appear on the map. I have to open the layer properties and click on OK on the page query window to reset the page query. There are other changes to the layer and underlying data that reset the page query, I just shared the simplest example that I can repeat quickly. Is this an issue that anyone else experiences? Thanks!!

To follow up on this topic, I migrated my data to a new geodatabase built with the sde user schema. This solved the issues I was having.

The owner of the Default version is DBO, the owner of the user version is PHL The Database Connection that I used to create the Database User was DBO. The Database User created using the Geoprocessing tool is not a SQL Server login, it is only shown as a Database User in SQL Server. It is also in a Geodatabase Role that I did not grant any privileges to in SQL, I only used the role to define the editing privileges on the datasets in the geodatabase.

A simple SQL Server Instance on a VM in azure holds a geodatabase that I loaded with an xml file as the dbo. I created a database user which I then used to connect to the geodatabase and create a version. The Default version is set as 'Protected', yet the user is able to rec/post to the default when connected as the database user. How can I figure out why this is happening. My coworker has a version I created for her with the database user as the version owner. The schema of the data is DBO. she is able to rec/post to the default. This is not cool Zeus.

What I have found is that the version names require a unicode string list u'<version_name>'. This is what worked for me. Over that vast canyon and onto the pasture

Paul, I removed my site from Azure and recreated it. What I've found is that the issue seems to revolve around the certificates being imported correctly into the portal admin page. The Cloud Builder did not successfully configure the https for the site. Have you used the cloud builder program?

Hello, I have an issue that is preventing me from using Portal for development. When I click Sign In from a browser on a different machine than the Portal Server I get a Bad Gateway error. If I am connected through Remote Desktop I can login just fine. Is this by design or is something wrong? Thanks, Richard

Nevermind, I had services registered in AGOL that were from a GIS Server that no longer exists... So the real problem I am having is the connection for the Twitter input, I've open up all the ports recommended in the Esri resources and am looking for additional causes.

com.esri.ges.httpclient.Http..... This logger is sending a message that a second attempt is being made to connect to a GIS Service? This install of GeoEvent is on a completely seperate network and that GIS Server machine was deleted prior to creating the machine I am running now. My registered Data Stores include 2 AGOL servers, and the default GIS Server that is on the same machine. The url to the GIS Server that is being attempted is not longer in existance. Weird. Is there some sort of link between my authorization code with the EDN and the GIS Server services being tracked somewhere?
