So is this process just allowing AGOL to verify username / password against an AD system then? Or is this allowing an AD system to generate AGOL users? I'm researching this as an option for AGOL account management.

I'm curious, with my organization we have roughly 5,000 users. Obviously not everyone would ever even KNOW about ArcGIS.com, much less try to log in... but... I thought that with the new 'credits' and AGOL accounts system starting to become the norm that the number of AGOL accounts was restricted to the number of specific licenses that organization utilizes. So if we were to incorporate this 'Enterprise Login' concept... how would that affect our number of licenses vs AGOL accounts requirements? Does this bypass those restrictions? Does this require a different level of licensure? Does each person that sign on use a license and if too many people are signed on the next person cannot sign on now until someone else signs off, like an implementation of an internal license server? OR Do we grant a specific set of users an AGOL account and everyone else, even tho we've setup this Enterprise Login, won't ACTUALLY be able to sign in to AGOL until we purchase more licenses? Really curious because this sounds like it would solve a lot of problems.

Tulsa Tough If you check out that link you will be directed to a map. If you hover over a section of the map, you will see a highlight along the elevation for that path. Does anyone know of anything like this in an ESRI widget? This is pretty cool stuff.

I'm finding that I hate remembering which REST Service does what, as well as where they are located. I know that ArcGIS Pro apparently allows you to save the Layer level pointers so that they don't get changed and end up altering multiple maps or applications but I want something easier. I started thinking about setting up some named redirects... then instead of pointing to http://maindomain/completely.long.url.pointing.to/rest/services/actualservice/mapserver/0 I would point to http://maindomain/servicename in my maps. Has anyone else considered this? Is anyone else doing this? Just curious...

We're City Government working with our Local Open Data group so disabling isn't something we're aiming at. We're running a webadaptor and working on setting up a private / internal webadaptor to obscure any REST Services we don't want used for public consumption. But thanks.

So now I went to back to my WAB/Current folder. I deleted EVERYTHING. I copied all files from WAB 1.0 in WAB/Current. I double-clicked startup.bat to verify it worked. It did. I then copied all files from WAB 1.1 into WAB/Current which overwrote a few files. I double-clicked startup.bat and got this error message.

Steps I took... I have a folder called WAB/Current I copied all of the WAB 1.0 files into this folder. Double-clicked startup.bat. I opened my browser (which DIDN'T open on it's own) and navigated to the URL for WAB. It worked. I went back to the WAB/Current folder and copied all of the WAB 1.1 files this time. Double-clicked startup.bat and got this error message. Help?! Anyone?!

Alright... Surely I'm not the ONLY person wanting to know the answer to this. I am slowly inventorying all of our web maps, GIS applications, etc. that utilize our REST Services on our ArcGIS Servers. But we have civic hackers, local web developers, etc. that are using our services for various maps and/or mapping apps and I'm wondering if there isn't someway to discover or list out all applications that are consuming our REST Services? Anyone?

This is known as a bump. As someone who is getting more and more desperate to find someone that can answer Local Government Model (LGM / LGIM / LGDM) questions it is very frustrating that ESRI doesn't have a better documented area for the LGM.

I work for the City of Tulsa as a GIS Analyst. One of the things I have to work with, constantly, is the output of REST Services from our ArcGIS for Server setup. If you visit a link to see one of our sample REST Service pages it looks like the following... http://maps.cityoftulsa.org/gis/rest/services/StarterMaps/extCollisions/MapServer Standard page. Just lists out the details for this page with links at the top left for JSON | SOAP. What I am wondering is, if I had a JS Library that converted the JSON or SOAP to 'something else' (think Geo-JSON, RSS, CSV, etc.) is there a mechanism to insert those links for all REST Services? I've worked with CMS's (Content Management Systems) like WordPress, Zikula, Joomla, etc. for 15-20 years now. So I understand backend processes somewhat and recognize that 'somewhere' under the hood, ESRI Server generates those links for JSON and SOAP as well as the engine that creates their output. But... I haven't had opportunity (nor cause, yet) to climb under the hood and see how those work so I am in the dark right now and seeking some light. I also feel like I should state that I "do understand that ESRI has the Open Data page where I can present all REST Services from my organization in most every format recognizable as GIS related." That information is unrelated. I'm just curious about where (or even if it's possible) to make modifications on that level for ArcGIS for Server output. For those curious as to why I am curious, my supervisor unearthed this URL from GitHUB and wondered if I could research it as an option. This question led me to wonder further. It would be nice to let our Web Developers style these pages, brand them, etc (or if they're too busy to do it ourselves).

My current SOAP output for a certain feature class reads out as: <Value xsi:type="tns:PointN"> <X>2559042.3290518075</X> <Y>451585.30461922288</Y> </Value> But the contractor says they need it to read as so: <Value xsi:type="xsd:double"> 2559042.3290518075</Value> <Value xsi:type="xsd:double">451585.30461922288</Value> Is this an option? And if so, how would someone modify that output in SOAP?
