Love the app. Fills a niche here. But I hope for more add-ins on the Marketplace.

We are getting a lot of crashing, but it does it more when services aren't responding. We're also often getting disconnects with services.... then collector doesn't reconnect after it fails. We're talking about feature services that are published on our public ArcGIS Server that are secured.

Are the secure services registered with ArcGIS Online? We've got secure feature services registered with ArcGIS Online and with the login stored in ArcGIS Online and that appears to work.

I think (and this post was in March - so I might be wrong) it ended up being "user error". I'd created the SD in ArcMap and went to publish in python - with ArcMap shut. I had to create the SD in python and then it worked.

While right clicking on mosaic datasets and using Repair works, when I run it in python it doesn't. It's not replacing paths. I've even gone to the trouble of using an ExportMosaicDatasetPath then string replacing and testing new paths and that all works besides the replace path tool. It's just not doing anything? Any tricks to it?

Will we ever get map services? I'd love labelling. Data that's being changed on arcgis.com that can't be tiled.

We've had a number of nightly updates on AGOL and was there a change the other day? Previously if you were overwriting an existing service you didn't need to republish the sharing. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//00540000001p000000 The bit about OVERRIDE_DEFINITION and defaulting to USE_DEFINITION. arcpy.UploadServiceDefinition_server(sd, "My Hosted Services", service) should just USE_DEFINITION right? Now I've just changed it to arcpy.UploadServiceDefinition_server(sd, "My Hosted Services", service,"", "", "", "", "OVERRIDE_DEFINITION","SHARE_ONLINE","PUBLIC","SHARE_ORGANIZATION", "") and it's all working. Just everything stopped working for a number of hours while people couldn't get the map services.

Something has changed since the beginning of July regarding overwriting services that are in a subdirectory. Before July when you initially published a service it went to the root and you could move it to a subdirectory and then overwrite it (I'm using a python script to do that) and it would overwrite the one in the subdirectory. Now it appears it creates a new one in the root and doesn't affect the one in the subdirectory. Anyone else having this happen to them? And to top things off I can't appear to publish non-tiled services now on arcgis.com? Tiled no prob though. EDIT - It appears if you've had a Service of a particular name and you delete it, it takes a while before you can reuse that name. I'm trying to use the following code: http://blogs.esri.com/esri/arcgis/2013/04/23/updating-arcgis-com-hosted-feature-services-with-python/ I've had success with this in past but didn't use ALL the XML modifications. I've now added them all because it looks like if you don't add them it's defaulting back to Tiled even when you're just overwriting. But now I'm getting timeouts on the post server processing. This change happened to arcgis online around the 4/5th July?

If anyone experiences this.. it's to do with caching. A combination of Chrome caching and maybe our firewalls. Going incognito in chrome fixed it. Thanks to local support here for pointing me in the right direction. Feeling like a bit of newbe, but it was strange behaviour. Peter.

Since the update (Early July) to arcgis.com when I click on My Organization I'm just getting "Invalid Organization" The [myorg] bit I've removed, but it's just our three letter acronym we chose a while back. [myorg].maps.arcgis.com/home/error.html?c=InvalidOrganization Initially it tries to draw the page and gets a little way there then goes to the error page. I can't view our credits or usage etc. Anyone else with this one? I've reported this one to our local support but haven't heard back from them yet.

Feature class stored in SDE has two fields removed, reopen MXD to be republished to arcgis.com, do an overwrite and view the published feature class REST interface and the fields will still be there. It looks like the service definition has been updated - ie. the datetime stamp has changed but the feature service isn't. I'm probably missing something in the workflow. Does it matter that the service definition and feature service are moved to a subdirectory in arcgis.com and then overwritten?

I have the situation where when I delete two fields off a feature class and overwrite the hosted feature service the fields are not removed. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to delete the feature service and republish using the service definition that's hosted? At this stage I'm creating a new version and not overwriting because I can't seem to do it seamlessly.

Two of the most common options in most other Collector apps out there is to allow multi-choice (ie. select two or more options from a drop down - we might have hazards around a damaged building and there's usually more than one e.g. collapse, fire, gas) the other is a free text field for an Other option. This is how most paper forms work - so to convert our paper forms to Collector means some non-intuitive choices. ie. More than one hazard field and having a Other (see comments) is working for us but after having a look at Terraflex our users would love those features. Really doesn't fit within ArcGIS data structure though does it.
