Keith, I'm using ArcGIS Pro 2.9.1 and when I bring in my data that has a domain with numbers and coded description, it throws in the labels appropriately. Is your domain set up in the Domains sections with the appropriated coded descriptions? This is mine:

Sometimes the CAD to GIS integration just will not work the way we want it to work. I have found one big work around for taking text characters in CAD and putting them in GIS to look exactly like they do in CAD. Since I am not a CAD operator, I do not know the proper term that is used but from how I understand it in MicroStation is that you select all the text in the drawing and then "drop the line styles". This essentially turns all the text into actual line features. It is not ideal and creates a much larger file but when done properly, it behaves exactly like the CAD operator would expect. For example, take a look at this extent of a map: https://arcg.is/1KCrSm0 The word "FILL" is not a text or a label, but it is line features:

As seen in your images above, the two different aerial photos are not the same. In an ideal world, all aerial imagery should be in exactly the same place but this is never the case. The Google image was stitched and referenced a certain way. The Esri image was stitched and referenced a certain way. These might not have been the same way. As Luke pointed out, if you intend to use the Esri imagery, it would be best to digitize the image in ArcGIS Pro instead of Google.

Hi David, To be perfectly honest, in my professional opinion I would say that maybe 10% of all GIS users truly understand coordinate systems. Maybe 60% of users say they understand them and the remaining 30% struggle with them. I may be offending people when I say that but that is what I have seen over the last 15+ years of dealing with this stuff (especially when you work with land surveyors - you get completely new perspectives on coordinate systems). To not get too deep into this, all projected coordinate systems will also have a geographic coordinate system as its base. This is normal. What you're seeing is normal and likely a very commonly used StatePlane coordinate system for your part of North Carolina, so I would stick with that as long as your data falls completely within that 'boundary'. If your client is one of the local, state, or local-federal governments, I would look into their data and see what systems they use so that you can use the same system when serving them. For your question about changing coordinate systems is very simple. Luckily ArcGIS Pro (and ArcMap) will perform what's call on-the-fly projection, meaning that if your projected data comes into your map in a different projection than what the map is set it, ArcGIS will on-the-fly change it so that it fits. To make it a permanent change, and change the data into the coordinate system that your client wants, this is also very easy and done in a few ways. One is to use the geoprocessing command of Project. That's kind of the easy one-stop-shop. Another way is to export the data into a new file and choose a new coordinate system when doing the export. There are likely other ways too but these are likely the most common. Let me know if you have more questions.

Jonathan, this is intriguing. I might have to check this out as it could be a sort of solution (however, the survey folks might not like this level of 'accuracy'). But my initial thoughts would be, how would I be able to initially put my device/phone on a flat, 0 degree, surface. I suppose a level could help with that. But either way, thanks for the feedback!

I have not seen this happen but I also do not do this kind of process. To be clear, you are bringing in the dwg into ArcGIS Pro. Are you georeferencing the raw CAD file, converting to a geodatabase feature class, then exporting back to a dwg again? Or is it a different process? I would almost assume something is getting 'lost' in the conversion in ArcGIS, not on the AutoCAD side, but I don't know. Could you do a different process where you export to a shapefile (or a different file that AutoCAD can read) and import that into AutoCAD and see if that looks 'normal'?

Hey Owen, I suppose all good things must come to an end! What happens to an old story map link once the support is gone and the maps are retired? Will the link still function or will the user just see a 404 page or so?

Ok, this makes more sense. Those duplicates are rows (records), not columns. I do not know of a way to eliminate duplicate records in ArcGIS Online automatically. You cannot delete records from an ArcGIS Online table. There are a couple of ways to eliminate your duplicates, one at a time. One is to do it on the map. You need to have editing enabled (from the settings), then on the map, start he editing and click on the feature to delete and select delete. Another way, that I haven't tried is through the service URL, according to this post: https://gis.stackexchange.com/a/403100

I don't think we're talking about the same thing. In a database, a field is a column and a record is a row. It sounds like you do not want to delete a field. Are you wanting to delete all records that belong to a certain power company? Or can you clarify a little more on what you are wanting to delete? Are there fields that you are not showing that need to be deleted? Are you wanting to edit the field of "NAME" in order to not show the name of the power company but only show the words "no outage"?
