Hi Holly, I am not sure if this link is different from the one Asrujit posted, but here is the document sheet for Detecting Feature Change in 10.4 (with an option to view the instructions on 10.3 by clicking on "other versions"): Detect Feature Changes—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

Steve, Attribute Assistant seems like a good idea. If Jared were to use this, which download package would you recommend? I see that there are quite a few different ones and there doesn't seem to be an obvious one for updating parcels and/or building footprints.

Hi Gabriel, Take a look at this thread: https://community.esri.com/message/595331#comment-595546 There are some resources out there but there isn't an 'easy' answer to this question. Maybe Esri should have an FAQ document on this type of question since it is asked so frequently.

Hi Karra, This is an interesting concept and I think you're right that it will require coding. Are you essentially wanting an existing feature service to populate a new, unsaved, web map at the user's click? Or are you wanting it more intricate than that?

How would it look? I mean, can you maybe put it on so that we can look at it and decide then? And let me know if you would want/need any assistance with college stadiums and such!

Hmm, that seems to be a problem. There isn't an easy work around either. Take a look at this thread: https://community.esri.com/thread/115206#comment-432081 They used ArcGIS Explorer to make this happen and it appears to have worked. Also, take a look at this: arcgis 10.1 - Import KML attributes into the correct schema - Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange They used QGIS to make this happen.

Hi Nav, First things first, I would highly consider making this just one post instead of three and deleting the other two posts. I know that you want to post this in multiple places, but you can do this by using the @ sign. It may be wise to stick the original post in the New to GIS place. Having this in one place would greatly increase your chances of all comments staying on one thread (and making it more cohesive).

Hi Brian, It looks like it may be an issue with your text string for updateFC. Try putting in an "r" at the beginning of it. updateFC = r'M:\BrianLomas\Python Scripts\ParcelPracticeCopies\ParcelPythonCOPIES.gdb\TaxParcel_COPY' See this thread/poll on python naming string conventions:

Hi Ross, Based on what Jake said, it seems like the photo consumption in AGOL is pretty minimal. If you are concerned, you can reduce the resolution of the photos being taken on the Collector device. Or you can always look into another photo hosting service like Flickr.com.

Yup! There it is: Select Layer By Attribute—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop I love the Search tab in ArcMap. It makes me feel better since it is hard for me to remember most of what is there in the toolbox!

Hi Scott, Yes, there are several Select tools in the ArcToolbox. This tool selects based on a query and exports the dataset to a new one: Select—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop This one just selects the data: Select Data—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop (mainly used for ModelBuilder) What I do is use the Search tab and type in Select. This gives me the different Select choices from the toolbox.

Hi Ryan, I have seen issues like this before. Unfortunately, sometimes the KML/KMZ is just corrupt with no hope when you get an error like that. Though, you could attempt to check it out to see what the error is saying on that line. Since it is a KMZ, you will have to unzip it to get to the KML. Then you can open it up and read the code text, etc. This article shows some suggestions on how to do this: google - Corrupted kmz file with parse error? - Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange
