@Jake you are truly amazing! Thank you so much for taking the time to make the modifications. I and a lot of other users will benefit greatly from it and will be more efficient. I will let you know how it worked as soon as I get a chance to test it. Best regards, Darina

Hello Jake, Thank you so much for this solution! You are a life saver! I was just going to tackle the task of deploying dashboards from dev to prod and your post popped up. It saved me so much effort and time. Thank you! Here are my 2 cents: I have tried the Copy Web Map and Copy Dashboard tools. We use Integrated Windows Authentication and an error popped up while filling out the parameters that connection to the portal cannot be made. I changed the validation code to not provide user and password as arguments, as they are assumed from the user currently logged in and it worked: source = GIS(self.params[0].value) target = GIS(self.params[6].value) I made the same changes in all .py scripts: source = GIS(sourcePortal) target = GIS(targetPortal) And I was able to copy a web map and a dashboard that has a map widget. A lot of our dashboards don't have a map widget, and the tool cannot be used, but I was able to use your script to get the JSON of the original dashboard, change the item IDs of the source to the target ones and then use the second part of the script to copy the dashboard to the target portal. And it worked. Thank you again for your priceless contribution! Darina

I am having the same issue. No date fields when trying to filter the data in a Web Map (both classic and new map viewer). ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 and the services comes from a standalone ArcGIS Server 10.9.1.

Just to follow up with this issue. I upgraded to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 and the spatial query is now working as expected. When records are selected, it shows in the query pane the number of record selected and then the correct results are returned.

I am experiencing the same issue with the Query widget in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0. What I have found out is that in order for the query widget to see the selected record on the map the "Choose the filter type" dropdown needs to fire some type of event (like "selection-changed", "onChange"..., for example). If I have a selected record on the map and the dropdown already has the "Selecting features from a data source" selected, the buffer does not work. If I open the dropdown and select another value ("-", for example) and then go to "Selecting features from data source", then the buffer functionality works and results are returned as expected. But this switching between values of the dropdown has to happen every time the selection changes in order for the query widget to see the new selection. I will contact ESRI Support after the weekend as it sounds like a bug.

Thank you, Jay! That explains it! I was just about to open a ticket. It has been a little hectic the last couple of months with the ArcGIS Pro versions. Moved from 2.9.4 to 2.9.5 to fix the symbology crashing error. Tested and prepared everything to move to 3.0.3 because of 2.9.5 crashing when accessing data through an OLE DB connection. Now 3.0.3 is not the solution either because I can't publish a geoprocessing tool. I have installed a different ArcGIS Pro version on just about every dev machine I have available, so I can keep working. Just venting. 🙂

Same issue. Tool runs fine and displays results on the map. Can't publish to the server. ArcGIS Pro 3.0.3, ArcGIS Server 10.9.1 Getting these very well defined errors: "Status: Failed ErrorMessage: Consolidation failed... Status: Failed ErrorMessage: ERROR 999999: Something unexpected caused the tool to fail... Status: Failed ErrorMessage: Failed to execute (StageService)... Status: Failed ErrorMessage: Staging failed" The same tool publishes just fine if I use ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5 and the same 10.9.1 ArcGIS server. Frustrating! Tried all recommendations for this error by changing staging folder path to a shorter one. Changed tool name to a shorter one. Nothing works.

Thank you so much, both, for your input. So the verdict is that it can be installed but it is not advisable.

Thank you for your reply Scott! You are right. I shouldn't, but... Just trying to find a dev machine to install ArcGIS Pro 3.0.3, without breaking something. ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5 and 2.9.6 crash when using .odc connections, 2.9.4 crashes when using symbology. Can't upgrade my machine because I can't save projects back to 2.x and other breaking functionality. Can't upgrade the other dev server because a lot of python scripts are being tested there. Just looking for a workaround that won't create more issues.

I could not find information on this. In the documentation it says that ArcGIS Desktop 10.8.2 can be installed on the same machine as ArcGIS Server 10.9.1, but nothing about ArcGIS Pro. Thank you!

I did not find this bug in the fixes for Patch 6. I escalated the bug and this is what I received from ESRI: ******************************************************************** Bug fixes are addressed in upcoming releases or general patches, or they may be addressed as ad-hoc fixes. Enhancement requests are implemented in upcoming releases. Updates have been made to the following defect which you are associated with: BUG-000153421 - Adding a Microsoft Access database table to a map from an OLEDB connection in ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5 or 2.9.6 causes the program to crash. Status: In Product Plan (Learn More) Alternate Solution: Use the following ArcGIS Pro versions as this issue does not occur there: Versions prior to ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5. ArcGIS Pro 3.0 and above. It says it is in product plan, so I hope for a resolution soon (if I understand this correctly).

Thank you for your reply Robert, The data that I use from the .odc connection is the main reason for my project. If I remove that data, I have no project. 🙂 I can't move to version 3. I run a lot of Python scripts on the 2 machines that I have available and 3 will most likely break the scripts. Upgrading the scripts will take a while. I opened a case with ESRI and the analyst suggested to install .Net Framework 4.8.1 and remove patch 5, since I can't upgrade to 3. But, unfortunately, the installation of the framework was blocked with the message that it is not supported on this OS (Windows server 2019), go figure. So, that is not going to work. I uninstalled patch 5 and I can open the projects. Since my maps were imported from MXDs, I can, probably make all necessary symbology changes in ArcMap and import the maps to Pro after I am done. Then publish the services from Pro 2.9.4. Hopefully, there will be a solution soon.

I a experiencing the same issue but with a SQL Server database. Can't open any projects that use .odc connection to a SQL Server database and cannot add any tables from such connection. We cannot move to 3.0 due to breaking functionality and we cannot uninstall the Patch 5 due to the Symbology crash. Is there a solution for this already? Thank you!

Thank you, Cristian! We whitelisted some of these a few months ago when AGOL updated and most of our python scripts stopped working. We had to add some amazon ones to the list too. But I will ask our Network guys to add the ones we haven't. Hope that resolves the issue because I don't think logging in as the account running the process and running ArcGIS Pro is a solution for us.
