Is there any update to the ability to do this? It is possible to reorder in the popup so that the attribute table respects the new order, but this is not honoured in downloads / exports.

In both My Settings and the Organization Settings, the Primary map viewer is set to Map Viewer Classic. However the Visualization tab for some layers shows the new Map Viewer interface rather than the Map Viewer Classic interface. Confusingly, some layer's Visualization shows the Map Viewer Classic interface. Is there a Setting somewhere at the layer level to determine which map viewer is used?

I also came across this issue a while back, where we have sites that we want to be visible as points when zoomed out. I ended up implementing a workaround using symbology. In case it is of interest, here's what we do. Create an integer field in the polygon layer called 'Point' and give it a value of 1 for all features. In the symbology, where you select which attributes to show, as well as choosing whatever field it is you may be symbolising the points by, choose the Point field you have created. This could be a different field if need be. It just needs to be numeric. Then, for 'Select a drawing style', use the 'Counts and Amounts (Size)' option for the Point attribute. Here you can set the symbology of the point. In our case, as we want all of the points to be the same size, we specify the size range to be the same, rather than vary by attribute (but setting all the values to 1 also helps make sure this is the case). Two options if you are wanting to filter within the map, or filter the entire layer itself through a View. If you go the 'view' route, this link is also useful: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/introducing-the-new-create-and-update-view-layer-experiences/ In both instances, the filter expression will be something like 'FieldName' 'is blank'.

It's great to see the development allowing further customisation of symbology in the new Map Viewer, but it would be very useful to have these available in the Visualization tab as well. This would enable us to set the symbology once before creating views with the same symbology and adding them to multiple maps, rather than having to reproduce the symbology in Map Viewer each time.
