I am populating a Feature Layer with the spatial features contained withing a Shapefile. Attached is a snip of that code: In that code I am assigning the shapefile to the Feature Layer "featureLayerSF" Everything works fine and I can add the shapefiles. Although in my case I only want to have one shapefile added at a time. My question is how do I remove the data inside "featureLayerSF" before the newly chosen shapefile spatial contents are added to the "featureLayerSF" Any ideas would be very appreciated. Or code snips....

I have a point file and a road file. I need to move the points to the nearest road feature. Is this possible? Is there a tool for this? Thanks in advance

I have a link to my main home page for our ArcGIS online Account that was added to AGO. It places it way down in the list. Is there a way that I can modify the link or post of the link to default it to FIRST in the list. Can I control, in some way, the order of the Web Maps, Links etc?

Was able to publish the service NOT Versioned and then clicking the Sync button before publishing. Link above explains this. Now In Collector I can see the app and the Download button.... I download the application, seems to work fine. I make a couple simple changes to some attributes and then see the edits there were done in replace of the Download button with Sync(3) I hit the button to Sync and get an error "An Error occurred while synchronizing edits." Pretty darn vague.

Embarassed.....permissions were too low on the connect to the DB. Used my Admin privileges and it worked fine.

When I registered as Versioned I DID NOT check the box to: "Register the selected objects with the option to move edits to base." ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 ArcGIS Advanced 10.2.2 In addition to the above question...how do I determine the version and/or build of SDE that is currently running on my SQL server.

Trying to Publish Service that will be able to Sync when added to ArcGIS online application I read that the below had to be done. Set as Versioned Add Global ID Enable Archiving I did the above and can view in ArcMap. I then go to publish as a Feature service. In Capabilities under Feature Access I check the Sync checkbox I do an analyze and get an error Error Code: 00191 Error Description: Invalid feature service capabilities configuration for sync Error Name: Layers Error Type: Data Frame Error Data Frame: Layers Any thoughts?

Trying to create a FC in my SDE database and add ability for attachments. I create the FDS and then a point FC and then right click ... Manage>Create Attachments is disabled.... What gives.....am I doing it wrong? I am using Advanced license.

Thank you...just trying to get a handle on this....From what you said..and what I am hearing If I wanted an app that allowed for Disconnected editing I would need to use the following SDKs... IOS, Androind and .Net to cover those 3 types of devices? Is that correct? Do I have this correct?

It appears my only options are iOS, OSX, silverlight and .Net Is that correct? Is there future thought to gaining this ability leveraging the JavaScript API? If you go .net are you limited to a windows device? Can you still access through Android and IOS (ipad or iphone) Would you have to build an App using specific API's for .net, IOS, and Android to use on each device? If an app for each has to be made are there simple migration tools to migrate from .net to Android to IOS?

Does JavaScript API offer the ability to host disconnect environments (read only and editing)? It appears this is avalible via Android, iOS and Silverlight. Can we do so with JavaScript API?
