Hi @DougBrowning Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate this behavior is not ideal. In fact this issue is already noted on our Known Issues and Future Enhancements (2nd to last row under enhancements).
Cheers.

Hi @jcarlson
Thanks for the feedback!
Right now we are going to keep using the Known Issues and Future Enhancements and will consider an ideas exchange for Community down the road.
As for the subscription filtering and sorting and the pinning communities, I know the vendor is working on an overhaul of user interface in 2021 an I expect some improvements coming with personalization options that hopefully will help in these areas.

Yes, no, maybe...
As we are all getting settled in and finding our way around the site, I want to check in and see how you are doing? I would like to share with you some tips on getting comfortable and some key things we have learned since our launch.
But first, I would like to give a big thank you to those of you who have been providing feedback, helping us uncover bugs and testing out new ways of doing things! It takes a community to launch a community!
Here are the top 5 things we think will help you along your way:
1. Set up your subscriptions and notifications – Although the content moved over from the old site, our connections and subscriptions did not, you have an opportunity to start fresh with your subscriptions and connections.
2. Navigation and Search – Use the top navigation menu (All Communities) to easily find the place you are looking for. Community Structure - November 2020 will help you understand the basic layout of the site. And search offers plenty of ways to apply filters to narrow your search. How to search and apply filters
3. Ranks and Badges – Curious how you achieved the rank you did, or what the badges are all about- check out these two documents. And you can also learn more about Roles in this document.
4.Known Issues and Future Enhancements – We are updating this document daily with the latest findings and fixes and enhancement requests. Bookmark it or subscribe to it so you too can stay up to date!
5. Disappearing or hidden posts. Archive and Spam
Archives: You may come across a hidden or archived content link while searching the site or using old bookmarks. As part of our migration we did some clean up of old posts, in an effort to help bring relevant, more recent topics to the forefront when searching topics and solutions. If you feel like a post was mistakenly archived, reach out the the Community team at [email protected] and we will review and retrieve it for you.
Spam: Missing a post that you just edited, or you just created a new post but now cannot find it? There is a chance it got caught up in our overly sensitive spam quarantine. The spam quarantine is sensitive to start, and will learn over time about our content and will eventually settle into a better pattern and not mistake valid posts for spam. If this happens to you, send a PM or email ([email protected]) to myself or anyone on the community team and we will search the quarantine for your post and bring it back to circulation.

And to provide feedback on the community or report an issue, please post in: Community Feedback
Thank you for being part of our Community! For our friends in the United States, wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving, stay safe and healthy this holiday season!

You are welcome! If any new posts go missing, let me know they might also end up in spam quarantine. once spam filter learns our content it will not so easily quarantine the Japanese post. It generally takes a month of activity for it to learn. Thank you for your patience!

Hi @LanceCole , Thank you for the detailed feedback.
Items 1, 2, 3, 4 of your list are addressed in this doc; Known Issues and Future Enhancements
for #5 - A bit more about labels, they are pre-defined so if no labels are showing, there are none to select. IF labels are showing you can click them to select them, you cannot type in a label unless it is already predefined. Part of our enhancement work is to improve this out of the box experience which we know is not intuitive and is confusing.
#6- @ mentioning users, yes many users have multiple accounts, and if those accounts had same usernames in the old system , the migration appended it with a number. We are working on cleaning up some of the staff duplicate issues. but I imagine you will still come across multiple accounts. For Esri staff and distributors, you want to use the account wit the Esri logo next to it. For other users, looking at their profiles might help, in determining if it is an active user by looking at online status and number of posts/ replies/ latest activity.
also I see you have a 1 at the end of your username, if you would like us to close the other @Anonymous User account, you can reclaim the username for the account you are using. You can send me a PM (private message) if you would like to take those steps.
Regards,
Michelle

Hi Hilary,
Thank you for the honest feedback. I am sorry you are not enjoying the new community and finding it more difficult.
I believe Kory has addressed your comments about Ideas, labels and tags. So let me try to address some of your other points.
As for the performance issues you are experiencing we have reported some of this to our vendor and are planning to a site wide cache and refresh this evening that might help clear out some of the errors/ caching issues. You might also try clearing your browser cache as well, that seems to help in some cases. Our session cookies are set to 8 hours, so you shouldn't be timing out, unless you are signed in with another ArcGIS Online account in another session or application.
The navigation/menu drop down menu at the top under all communities should help you get started finding things. We also provided help docs in our Community Help Documentation to assist with getting use to the new site, as well as community tips throughout ( look for the i icon).
Please bear with us as we work out some kinks and hopefully the navigation and performance will become smoother soon.
Regards,
Michelle

ah, got it now!
We currently do not have an ideas exchange set up for Community enhancements. For now, during this immediate post launch period, we are using the tracker document since we are still weeding out more bugs then tracking enhancements. But this is something I will take back to the team for discussion and consideration for future enhancement tracking.
Thanks.

Hi Josh, Sorry if someone jumped on your post to quickly, it could have been a moderator, MVP or place manager. but as the author of the post you should be able to revoke the solution if it is not correct, also you have the ability to mark multiple replies as solutions in the case where there is more than one answer.
