We certainly do not want to mislead users, so thank you for your feedback. For now I have linked the main graphic on that page to the main User Conference page. Let me see what else we can do. Thanks! cc:KC Shearer Christopher Catania

I believe the plugin below from LizardTech will allow you to view .jp2 files in ArcView 3.x: GeoJP2™ ArcView Plugin: http://www.lizardtech.com/download/download.php?dl=/download/files/win/GeoJP2ArcViewExt.zip Another option would be to convert the image to jpg or tiff using a program that preserves the georeferencing. I changed it over to a questions (Actions > Convert to Question). I'll add in some documentation to our Community Help on how to do this. Thanks!

You need to move the annotation layer up above the streets layer in your table of content.

Ok, then you will need to convert it to another format as Dan mentioned. Keep in mind that SID files are highly compressed, and the storage for the new file will be significantly greater. In the example above it's only 135mb uncompressed so that's not bad, but keep an eye on this for other rasters.

Normally your files have a spatial reference already defined within the metadata. When you open the SID properties in Catalog (right click > Properties), is there a Spatial Reference? If the file already has a spatial reference, then it will not show in the Georeferencing Toolbar even if you convert it to another format such as TIFF. You would have to use the Project Raster tool to assign an undefined spatial reference to the raster. Do you have any other reference data to see where the SID is displaying when you add it to ArcMap?

The difference in the graphics is that they were created at different times. The blue inset callout was created when the community was first launched. We created some new ones with the other design, and just haven't updated the older ones.

Chris, thank you for this valuable input! These are some great ideas! Some of these we have already been discussing and others are new possibilities that we have yet to consider. I will take these back to my team to see what all we can incorporate. Thanks again!

I am not aware of any issues; however, there are a several issues being fixed with tonight's update. If it continues after the weekend, I will investigate it further.

You should see the same options as Jayanta as your permissions are the same. Also searching for a place tends to be a little easier than browsing through hundreds of options.

The community continues to grow with users and content. Within the last year we have added almost 60,000 new registered users and 16,000 discussions. People are figuring out where to post; however, we are continuing to improve the user experience. There are a variety of marketing strategies to promote the community, and flair is a good option. I am exploring opportunities to answer questions, hear feedback, educate users, and put faces to screen names.
