Hi, Is it possible to restrict the deletion of record in the webapp, while allowing edits? If not, is it possible to track who and what was deleted? Regards.

Hi, Is it possible to disable the Outbox and Draft folders in the field app? There are workflows in which you don't want to let people to change the data by selecting these options instead of sending the survey. Regards.

Hi abureaux, Thanks for your answer. I tried the fixed and dynamic grid options, but the result was similar and not what I expected. Looking at your pictures I noticed that maybe the order of the questions has and effect in the grid. In your example the select_one question with the Other option is after, and the grid honored the appearance by keeping the 2 questions side-by-side. I did the same thing, and the result is good enough for me. Fortunately, in this case the order of the questions doesn't matter too much.

Hi, Like the subject says, I want to know if there is a way to keep the layout in picture 1 (select_one without or_other option) after adding the or_other option to the select_one question (picture 2). Picture 3 is the XLS form view. I know that the or_other option creates the need to account for the Other question space, but my expectation was that it would show in the same column as the Attendance Name question. Instead it's using the next column as shown in picture 4. Picture 1 (Attendance Name and Job-Brief Responsible side-by-side) Picture 2 (Attendance Name select_one with or_other option changes the layout) Picture 3 Picture 4

This feature is very well needed and the answer from Mark doesn't address the issue.

Hi, I confirmed that the FeatureSet returned by the FeatureSetByRelationshipName was not empty with a count and also used an If statement to check if "t.assetid" was "Null", before posting the question. You can see below the and image showing the the FeatureSets are not empty, before and after the filter function. var results_FS = FeatureSetByRelationshipName($feature, 'R0L100Electric_DeviceL1508Device_Unit', ['*'], false)
var fs_cnt = Count(results_FS)
var transf_FS = Filter(results_FS, "assettype = 785")
var transf_fs_cnt = Count(transf_FS)
var t = First(transf_FS)
var s = TypeOf(t)
domainName($feature, 'assettype') + ': ' + $feature.assetid + ': ' + '/ FeatureSet Count:' + fs_cnt + ' / Transf FeatureSet Count: ' + transf_fs_cnt + ' / Object Type: ' + s Now, after adding the check if the Feature is "Null" then the code passes the validation and also returns the fields from the related record. It looks like the code validation requires handling the exception of possible "Null" feature before being able to access the fields. As you can see in the image below the code is able to get the fields and show them in the Pop-up, so it was never "Null". var results_FS = FeatureSetByRelationshipName($feature, 'R0L100Electric_DeviceL1508Device_Unit', ['*'], false)
var transf_FS = Filter(results_FS, "assettype = 785")
var t = First(transf_FS)
if(t == null) {
return "Some default value"
}
if(IsEmpty(t.assetid)){
return domainName($feature, 'assettype') + ': ' + $feature.assetid
} else {
var id = t.assetid
var power = t.powerrating/1000
domainName($feature, 'assettype') + ': ' + $feature.assetid + ': ' + id + ' (' + power + ')'
}

Hi, My system configuration: Arcgis Enterprise: 10.8.1 Arcgis Pro: 2.9.2 I'm getting an "Error on line 6. Unexpected null" when I try to validate the code shown below in the Pop-up profile of Pro. The code tries to get a record from a related table of a feature and show one field of the related record in the Pop-up. I'm using FeatureSetByRelationshipName and Filter functions to get the records from the related table. I tried with different field names or the 2 syntax (feature.fieldname or feature['fieldname'], and I always get this "Unexpected null" error when trying to query a field. I know that everything is working until line 6 because I used the Count function and it returns the expected number of record count; also, I used the TypeOf function to check the type of the variable "t" and it returned "Feature". var results_FS = FeatureSetByRelationshipName($feature, 'R0L100Electric_DeviceL1508Device_Unit', ['*'], false)
var transf_FS = Filter(results_FS, "assettype = 785")
var t = First(transf_FS)
if(IsEmpty(t.assetid)){
return domainName($feature, 'assettype') + ': ' + $feature.assetid
} else {
var s = t.assetid
domainName($feature, 'assettype') + ': ' + $feature.assetid + ': ' + s

Hi, We have a published survey that we need to increase a text field size. When we set the new size on the esri:fieldLength in Connect and then try to re-publish we get a warning that the data will be lost. How can we increase the size of the text field without losing the data? Survey123 Connect version: 3.14.256 Survey published to ArcGIS Online. Regards.

Hi Johannes, Thanks for the reply. You are right about the array of dictionaries, I didn't think about looping the feature set of related records to create the dictionary. Regards.

Hi, This is my system configuration: - Arcgis Enterprise 10.8.1 - Arcgis Pro 2.9.1 - Utility Network version 4 I'm trying to delete multiple records from a related table using Arcade. My plan is to return a dictionary using the keyword "deletes". This keyword accepts 2 parameters: objectID / globalID. My question is: how could I use this keyword to delete multiple records without creating one "deletes" section in the dictionary for every record? Can I pass to "globalID" an array of globalIDs of the feature I want to delete from the related table? Also, my parent feature have several records in the related table but I only need to delete some of those records, which I can filter using a field in the related table. If I use the function "FeatureSetByRelationshipName" I can get all the records associated with the parent feature as a FeatureSet, then filter the returned FeatureSet to leave only the features that I want to delete. The question then is how to pass all the filtered records to the return dictionary without doing it one at a time? Regards.

Hi sjet1010, You could export the asset package (including your data) using the "Export Asset Package" geoprocessing tool and deploy the package to a FGDB. When working with attribute rule in FGDB You have to keep in mind that some Arcade scripts could work in the FGDB but won't have the same behavior/result in the Enterprise Geodatabase. Another alternative is to create a testing environment by copying your operational Enterprise Geodatabase to a different instance of your DBMS, this option will allow you to test your attribute rules in a similar environment as your operational data.

Hi, This is my system configuration: Electric Utility Network version 4 ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1 ArcGIS Pro 2.9.1 We're looking for recommendations on best practices when updating data for an asset that was replaced in the field. For example, if a pole/transformer/switch is replaced in the field, at the same location, what is the best way to update that record in the UN to maximize the benefits of the historical moment feature of the UN and for asset lifecycle analysis and reporting using the UN data. In the asset package provided by Esri all the UN feature classes have a field for "Date Retired" and "Lifecycle Status". We wonder if we have to update these fields and save the edit to record the end of the life of the old asset in the database; then update the those fields, the "Date Installed" and "In Service Date" to reflect the starting point of the new asset; and finally, save the edits again.

Hi, There is an additional behavior of the Validate + Reconcile + Post edits workflow mentioned above that I find strange. After validating the dirty areas in the Default version, if you return to the named version all the dirty areas that were previously validated are back. The link that you provide have this paragraph: When a version is reconciled with the default version, dirty areas that exist in the named version will remain and dirty areas are created from edits generated by the reconcile process. Likewise, when edits from a named version are posted to the default version, dirty areas are created for edits that were made in the named version. This includes edits that were previously validated in the named version. According to the workflow described above the dirty areas in named version were validated before Reconcile + Post. Looking at the documentation, I interpret the bold text above as saying that only the dirty areas that were not validated before the Reconcile should persist, but that's not what I have experienced. When I return to the named version I have to validate again all the edits or Reconcile again to remove all the dirty areas in the named version. Is this the expected behavior? My system configuration is this: Enterprise 10.8.1 and Pro 2.9. Regards.
