James, thank you for looking into this. I removed the {} from the URL and the form now populates the GUID field in related table. I am using Survey123 for iOS and Survey123 for Windows (called from ArcGIS Pro) and it works correctly in both of the clients. Thanks again for your help. Field calculate: "arcgis-survey123://?itemID=11c78858e316472d90752b94ecdf4317&field:parentglobalid="+!globalid![1:-1]

This is the parent hosted feature layer with related tables. http://arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=918ca7dce5834b1585c878ed42a15341 I follow the instructions here and created a form that would create new Occupant records. Updated response June 15: In 2.0 and newer versions, you can create a survey that works against an existing related table. In Connect, go to New Survey, then select Feature Service and pick your feature service from the gallery. Once the XLSForm is loaded, eliminate the questions relative to the parent layer. Eliminate the rows with the begin and end repeat statemnts. Then change the FormID value in the Settings tab so it references the name of the related table you want to edit. This is the URL opens Survey123 and I am able to create new Occupant records from Survey123 but it is orphaned. arcgis-survey123://?itemID=11c78858e316472d90752b94ecdf4317&field:parentglobalid={8799257a-00ac-4983-bb08-3b6c3e7818cf}

This started happening a couple of weeks ago. I keep getting logged out of Collector repeatedly. Having to log on to Collector each time is annoying but did not cause a huge issue for me since I am setting up the map from a WiFi-enabled office. However, we had an offline field data collection project, and this issue cost us a lot because the field staff was logged out of Collector automatically while they are out in the field with no internet connection. I would like to know if this is a bug and what is the workaround to avoid the automatic log-out.

for the sake of narrowing things down, if I have node.js running in the background, IE displays the related tables. IE consistently hides related tables when I kill the node.js. I'll post when I learn more.

Ismael, thank you for posting the update. I tried what you had described and was able to create a Survey123 form using a related table of an existing hosted feature service. However, my submission via Survey123 creates orphaned records. What I want to do is to view an existing feature in Collector and if it requires inspection, use a link in Collector pop-up to launch Survey123 (iOS) and fill out the inspection table which is related to the parent feature I selected in Collector. Is this a possible workflow with current release? Updated response June 15: In 2.0 and newer versions, you can create a survey that works against an existing related table. In Connect, go to New Survey, then select Feature Service and pick your feature service from the gallery. Once the XLSForm is loaded, eliminate the questions relative to the parent layer. I think this is by the API design. When you create a replica, you need replica's ID needs to be unique so the system assigns global ID to each replica. If you leave naming to the humans, it's likely there will be errors and duplicate values will be generated. So the API doesn't want to expose that option. These are just my thoughts, you probably want to ask Esri staff The replica_name parameter will only define the replica name on the server.

That was the answer I got from the Esri Support: create a replica. Below is the answer I got from the Esri Support. I tried it and was able to download with attachments. Thank you. Phil. In terms of another way to download the data to file geodatabase, without consuming credits, you could create a replica using the Python API and then download. This is the programmatic equivalent of exporting to a file geodatabase from the Item Details page of a service, or creating a replica and manually entering paramters at the REST endpoint. You may want to test manually from the Item Details page first and ensure that it works there; if it doesn't it won't work programmatically either, and confirms our suspicion that there could be a data-specific problem.

Thank you for posting this. I have written this as a back-up solution, but it is not ideal for feature services that have related records and attachment photos. Also, it does not preserve the original OID. Exporting feature service to file geodatabase and downloading it is a workflow supported in ArcGIS Online. But the Python API, which supposed to promote automating ArcGIS tasks did not include this in the API. But the "extract" workflow which is a premium service that cost a credit for 1,000 data points is somehow included in the API. What's worse is now that I know this method consumes credit, I selectively chose a feature service that only has two data points. But it consumed 15.71 credits per day every time I run the script. It does not reflect the credit consumption rate Esri documented. I have an Esri Support ticket open for this but have not received a satisfying answer yet.

I checked our AGOL credit after reading this and it did, in fact, use credit! Glad you mentioned it otherwise I would have continued to test. Thank you!
