These feature services were originally published with an underscore in the county name and the underscore used to work and was in the original URL until today. This is the REST service San_Diego_2021_Roll_Year (FeatureServer) (arcgis.com) My coworker is finding other odd things with this change and will email you. The underscore replaced with a dash works for us.

So today's release of ArcHub does not automatically forward all URLs to the new URL if there is an underscore in the feature service name. We use links in our public web pages to the downloads in ArcHub It took us a while to figure this out today, but all counties with underscores in them (e.g. San_Diego) forwarded to 404s e.g old map URL https://cdtfa.hub.arcgis.com/datasets/CDTFA::san_diego-2021-roll-year/about?layer=0 If you replace the underscore with dash it works fine: https://cdtfa.hub.arcgis.com/datasets/CDTFA::san-diego-2021-roll-year/about?layer=0. Maybe ESRI will fix this but until they do this might help others. Has anyone else encountered this?

We gave up with all but simple county maps in PowerBi. We worked with ESRI tech support last week and it seems that PowerBi works directly with the rest endpoint of a Webmap and ignores the custom popups that are part of an AGOL web map. It also could not read an ESRI date field and rounded a lot of fields. Also we use custom polygon maps but these would only publish with an added lat long point layer. It also uses Tooltips with a hover event that are not WCAG Web accessible but there is no way to turn this off. I suspect some of these issues are from PowerBi's software limitations. Overall the look and feel of the map was fuzzy and poor. So we gave up and decided that AGOL creates better maps than PowerBi and we will use those in custom ArcGISJavascript web applications that are linked to our dashboard.

I work in government so staff in the server unit set up this and script windows updates for all servers. I can't even turn off the windows updates sadly, but I will see if they can also script to shutdown services before the windows update thanks.

So this happened again in December. I'm going to open another ticket if it happens a third time. The last time ESRI said they could not trouble shoot which windows update caused this.

A windows security update in November 2020 corrupted a file in Portal in one directory. There was no indication of a date change, but the file was almost blank. C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\framework\runtime\tomcat\conf Just in case someone else encounters weird errors. We have no idea why but rolling back the directory to a backup fixed it. ESRI tech support knew about this possibility although it is not documented anywhere. Has anyone else had this happen?

I've been using ArcPro for everything for a few years, but it seems like we still need ArcCatalog to view the map cache status. Is this planned to be in ArcPro sometime? When can we get rid of ArcMap completely? (I'm not upgrading Pro until ESRI fix the display XY bug in 2.7 anyway) Edit service caching properties in Manager—ArcGIS Server | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise Note: While many settings for cache management and generation are available in ArcGIS Server Manager, those dependent on geoprocessing tools are not available. To modify these, you can access cache properties in ArcMap. In addition, some settings cannot be modified after publishing, and appear as read-only in Manager."

Thanks. Version 3.x is not considered accessible by SiteImprove. Version 4.x allows for the use of assistive technology so this is a priority for us.

Hi Kristian, Without being able to toggle through the records in each cluster in the popup this isn't useful for our maps so we have to stick with 3.x, which I'd like to get rid of in all our maps. Fiona

ESRI changed their mind after having previously closed this as “not a bug” and will fix this in 2.7 It seems that outputting fields from displayXY with 5000 characters are not acceptable to at least one other person. The status of Esri BUG-000130643 - In ArcGIS Pro 2.5, the XY Table To Point tool does not retain the length of the text field in the output point feature attribute table. - that you have been associatent Product Plan. Public Explanation: Duplicate of BUG-000130328: While this was previously a known limit, an enhancement to the Create Feature Class tool and a refinement of the XY Table To Point code will result in the desired behavior in ArcGIS Pro 2.7.
