Hello, we have been experiencing strange behavior from Enterprise 10.8.1 map services that were published from ArcPro (2.8.3). Seemingly randomly, the layer connection associated with the map service disappears and is not accessible from the rest endpoint. The map service rest endpoint has the layer heading, but no links to layers. If I stop and restart the service, the link reappears and the map services start to work normally again. Unfortunately, I don't know when this happens until someone complains that the service is not working. Also, there are a lot of them, so I cannot keep stopping and starting them to make them work. My map services that I created from arcMap don't seem to have this problem. I'm not really interested in going back to arcMap, so I would appreciate a solution for arcPro. I'm opening blank arcPro projects, opening the layers I want in my map service, and then right clicking the layer -> sharing -> share as web layer. I'm not including a feature service, and leaving the data on the source Enterprise geoDB (SDE). This has worked for us for years, so I'm not sure what is going on. Could the SQL server be dropping the connection to the Enterprise server? What would I look for in the log files? Thanks. --Keith

This is happening to me as well on an Enterprise 10.8.1 system. Has anyone found a cause? I have all kinds of Map Services to a SDE Enterprise Geodatabase and for some reason, one just forgets the link to the layer data.

I would be very interested in this option as well. I have been striking out in my efforts to automate the creation of survey123 summary reports. My survey is on our enterprise, but I'm using the https://survey123.arcgis.com/surveys website to manage them. For whatever reason, I'm also not able to get the generate_report python API to work either (SurveyManager). I'm guessing it's just not available for Enterprise (10.8.1) yet. I keep getting ERR_INVALID_PROTOCOL, but no references to that. I was hoping Integromat, but alas, no. Thanks @JamesTedrick for all you do. --Keith

What Integromat function searches existing records on the featureclass? I've only used Integromat to respond to webhook triggers from Survey123. Would you be using something else to generate a webhook on a set schedule?

Could this be a recent bug @JamesTedrick ? It's strange that there doesn't seem to be any way to troubleshoot it.

Yes please! We need at the very least a log of webhook triggers. I would also like a way to retrigger the webhook if it fails so I can get the data moving where it needs to go. Sometimes the payload doesn't show up in Integromat at all (history or incomplete executions). Thanks!

I had this happen to me as well. A scenario that has been on and working for a year just randomly didn't pickup a survey payload that showed up on the Enterprise server (10.8.1). No trace of the survey in Integromat, and I searched the Portal logs. The next survey submitted worked fine. For some reason it doesn't seem to track the webhook triggers, which seems strange. Does anyone know where webhook triggers are logged? I'm using the survey123 3.12.230 on this one.

Hi Brian! Yeah, it seems silly to post an error that can't be traced. Someone on slack suggested looking at the web adapter machine server logs and see if there were errors there. Haven't done that yet. Right Krysta? If it's so SEVERE then what is the cost? Performance?

I'm getting this error as well, but I can't tell what's causing it. Any idea how I can trace the source of this error? I'm running Enterprise 10.8.1 with server/portal/datastore on different machines; although, I was getting the same error when I was on 10.7.1. --Keith Linn County, OR

Hi David, For some reason, my 'E:\arcgisdatastore\pgsql10.6' directory did not exist. I'm not sure if the upgrade process deleted it, or if it just wasn't there in the first place. Isn't this where the postgresql data is supposed to be? Anyway, ESRI support helped me to uninstall the 10.8.1 software, reinstall 10.7.1, import the most-recent backup from my original install and then re-install the 10.8.1 upgrade. This seemed to fix whatever the issue was with the missing pgsql10.6 directory and it upgraded the Datastore correctly at that point. Thanks, --Keith

On the very last step of upgrading my Enterprise system from 10.7.1 to 10.8.1, the data store fails to configure. It seems to install fine. The error message appears after signing into the data store web url and providing the server credentials. Attempt to configure data store failed. Caused by: Database upgrade failed for relational data store. Caused by: Could not find home for relational data store binaries 'E:\arcgisdatastore\pgsql10.6' This appears after the prerequisite check comes back 'Ready for upgrade' for both the relational data store and the Tile Cache (not used). It seems like the data store upgrade process is confused because I'm not upgrading from 10.6 and it's looking in the wrong folder for the binaries. I'm doing the Enterprise upgrade on IIS server 2019, the server and portal are on separate machines. I successfully upgraded Portal, it's web adapter, Server, and it's two web adapters. --Keith Olsen Linn County, OR

Hi Brett. Thanks for the reply. I was out last week. You are right that the iPad mini device is using 3.10.236. My Survey123 Connect is running 3.10.239; although, I don't believe I'm in the early adopter program. I just downloaded it off the survey123 website. I switched my survey from public to organization only and it seems to be working now through the app and web. When logged in with a named user using a field worker license it seems to be able to send the signature through to enterprise. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work on that iPad mini as anonymous, but I have a work around for now, and it turns out it doesn't need to be public. --Keith

Has anyone run into this issue with iPad devices? I noticed a few old issues with taking camera pictures, but this is the signature image not making in through to the backend. I'm using Enterprise 10.7.1 and Survey123 3.10.239. I have the same issue whether using the Survey123 app or through a web browser on the device. I thought this would be a solid device for Survey123, but maybe not? Keith Olsen Linn County, Oregon

Thanks Ismael! We went with the "leaving sync on for our hosted feature layer and also turning it on for the hosted feature view" option. This seems to be working and hopefully we can upgrade to 10.8 in the not-too-distant future. --Keith
