Hello GIS friends, I'm currently working on a project where I need to register an event listener using the FeatureLayerManager in the ArcGIS API for Python. However, I'm encountering an issue where it seems that the FeatureLayerManager object does not have an attribute called register_listener. How can I get it to work? Here's a snippet of the code I'm using: from arcgis.features import FeatureLayer # Get feature layer feature_layer_url = "…………………………………………….." try: feature_layer = FeatureLayer(feature_layer_url) print("Successfully fetched the feature layer") except Exception as e: print(f"Failed to get feature layer: {e}") exit(1) # Callback function to handle feature collection events def handle_feature_collection_event(event): try: for feature in event['features']: created_user = feature['attributes']['created_user'] subject = "New feature collected" body = f"A new feature was collected by {created_user}." send_email(subject, body) except Exception as e: print(f"Error handling feature collection event: {e}") # Set up feature collection event listener try: feature_layer.manager.register_listener('onEdits', handle_feature_collection_event) print("Successfully registered event listener") except Exception as e: print(f"Failed to register event listener: {e}") exit(1)

@Shen_Zhang- I also see when you enable Layer widget you get the option now to 'View table', however, when I click to 'View table' nothing happens. Also, nothing happens when I click 'Export all'. It shows up the different formats I can export to, but when I click it nothing happens. Only, the transparency toggle works. Please see screen shots below of the configuration below. Configuration Action Upon clicking the ellipses of the layer (...) Thank you, Abi

@Jake_SI think you are suggesting to join the features based on a common field to create a view. I'm thinking we could also do this from SQL Server Management Studio... Thank you for your input. Abi

@Jake_S- That sounds like a plan, but how can I create a view in the same database? Thank you, Abi

Hello GIS friends, Is there a way to reference feature classes and data fields from multiple enterprise geodatabase or sql database within an Attribute Rule. I would like to establish an attribute rule capable of retrieving field information from another database to populate feature class in a separate geodatabase. Is this possible? I will appreciate your help. Thank you, Abi

@Shen_Zhang- What does data action on a framework level mean? Does it mean that you do not have to go to a widget like the table widget instead you can simply filter from the layer itself like in Web AppBuilder? That would be the most ideal. The way you have it now in ArcGIS Online for Experience Builder by going to the table widget to filter is simply not ideal. Thank you, Abi

@Scott_Harris Would you please tell me why this is not working in Field Maps. Please read this community post I posted yesterday. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-enterprise-questions/relationship-class/m-p/1418398 I greatly appreciate your feedback and help. Thank you, Abi

Huh, that is not good that this may not be possible in ArcGIS Pro. Well, when I make a feature service of the same data it allows me to add points after I draw a polygon in Web AppBuilder app. The problem is it does not allow me to do the same thing in Field Maps. Any more insights will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. Abi

Hello GIS friends, Good morning and happy Friday! Is there a way to relate a polygon feature and a point feature in ArcGIS Pro? I'm able to establish a relationship between a polygon (origin) and a point (destination) which is Composite and One to Many, but after I draw the polygon in ArcGIS Pro I'm not getting the option to add the points to relate them to the polygon. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a great weekend. Abi

Hello GIS friends, Scenario: I have a feature service consisting of three layers (point, line, and polygon) and two tables (table1 and table2). Each layer (point, line, and polygon) is related to both tables (table1 and table2). Additionally, the polygon layer is related to the point layer. I'm encountering an issue while attempting to add data in Field Maps. Upon opening the application, I notice a significant discrepancy: the option to add a point is notably absent, unlike the readily available options for adding lines or polygons. It's imperative to emphasize that the option to add a point should be as accessible as adding lines and polygons. The absence of the option to add points directly hampers my ability to establish relationships between points and the two associated tables as seamlessly as I can with lines and polygons. Currently, I am unable to establish these relationships, significantly impeding my workflow. The only instance where I encounter the option to add a point is when I initially add a polygon, which is appropriate since there is an inherent relationship between polygons and points. However, I should also have the independent option to add points, lines, and polygons, as well as the relationship tables when initially adding data in Field Maps. In essence, I need to be able to add all types of features (points, lines, and polygons) independently and establish relationships with the associated tables from the outset. This includes the ability to add points directly and relate them to the tables, mirroring the functionality currently available for lines and polygons. Plus, the ability to add a polygon and relate it to the point and two tables. This thing works in web appbuilder. I'm able to see the option to add all three-point, line and polygon and then relate each of them to the two tables. I'm also able to add a polygon and relate it to the point. This though, is not working in Field Maps. Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Abi
