Hi David Wright, When you mention 'Open Data Portal' is that a separate Portal for ArcGIS instance? If so you may be able to use a distributed collaboration to share items between the open data portal and your portal. About distributed collaboration—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise If you have any questions on collaborations let me know. Thanks, Thomas.

Hello David Wright It is possible to bring other services into portal as long as that service is in a supported format. You can add an item from the web from the content page. Add items—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise ArcGIS Server web service WMS WMTS WFS KML You could then specificity your open data service as feature content on the portal home page and or the portal gallery. Configure gallery—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise Configure home page—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise Hope this helps, Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Athar Ali I am not sure what product you're referring to for 'ArcGIS Enterprise Editor'. Collector versions are separate for ArcGIS Enterprise versions. For example the latest version collector on iOS is 20.1.0. Collector is compatible with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1. What's new—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation https://support.esri.com/en/downloads Thanks, Thomas.

Hello April Chipman, To knowledge no matter what service is being used using the feature reporting capability in ArcGIS Online consumes credits. You have two settings when collaborating content. Share as copy Share as referenced. If you want to share as referenced ArcGIS Online needs to be able to resolve the service URL of your services. Share as copy publishes a new feature service in ArcGIS Online. This hosted service has some limitation for example it's not possible to edits the hosted feature layer. Otherwise it functions as normal hosted feature service. About distributed collaboration—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise Hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Mark, I think there may be some confusion between distributed collaborations and publishing. Publishing a service from ArcGIS Pro or Survey 123 Connect to portal is not dependent on having a distributed collaboration. The collaboration is essentially separate functionality that will allow you to share content between portals. You could publish a service to one portal (A), share the services to the collaboration group. Then depending on your collaboration settings the service would be shared to other portal (B). How you connect to portal through ArcGIS Pro and Survey 123 Connect will not be changed by the collaboration. About distributed collaboration—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise Hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Farak, When you first install ArcGIS Server it uses a self signed certificate. By default this certificate uses the fully qualified domain name of the machine where ArcGIS Server is installed. When you access ArcGIS Server over port '6443' you are using this self singed certificate. Your browser may not trust this self signed certificate. The option to select a hosting server can be grayed out when there is a certificate trust issues between ArcGIS Server and Portal. There are a couple different ways to resolve this behavior. Which may depend on how you federated ArcGIS Server. The simplest way would be to import the certificate being used by ArcGIS Server into the Portal keystore. This will ensure portal trusts the ArcGIS Server certificate. I've linked some documentation below which talk about importing certificates in to portal. Import a certificate into the portal—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise Hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas. https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/import-a-certificate-into-the-portal.htm

Hello Aurelie Shapiro I've linked documentation below which goes through the process of configuring a new or existing CA-singed certificate with ArcGIS Server. To export the certificate as a .PFX file you'll need to "export the private key". You will then also need to secure the certificate with a password. Depending on how the certificate was created you may have this options through IIS. IIS > "Web Sever Name" > Server Certificates ArcGIS Server - Configure ArcGIS Server with a new CA-signed certificate ArcGIS Server - Configure ArcGIS Server with an existing CA-signed certificate If you want to update your bindings (e.g. 443) you can also do that through IIS. IIS > "Web Sever Name" > Default Web Site > Actions > Bindings I hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Thomas Illingworth Is the portal web adaptor installed on a separate machine to portal? Are you able to navigate to the portal home page using the URL specified for the web adaptor in same browser session? Just want to ensure web adaptor can successfully resolve the portal URL. I would also recommend taking a look network traffic when you hit 'configure'. What response comes back from the portal? Hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Mark, As you mentioned you can share a service in ArcGIS Pro from the 'Contents' menu or the 'Share' ribbon. Which interface you choose to publish from will not affect service performance. When you publish a service through 'Publish Web Layer' from the 'Share' ribbon ArcGIS Pro will publish all the layers in your current map. When you right click on a layer in the 'Contents' menu and choose 'Share as Web Layer' you are only sharing that individual layer. This makes it easier to decide which layers you want to participate in your service. You can also view which layers will be publish with your service from the 'Content' tab in the 'Share Map As A Web Layer' window. Hope this helps! Thanks! Thomas.

Hello Kristina White, I know this was posted a while back but I wanted to offer a few suggestions just in case. I recommend reviewing the collaboration invitation file. Particularly the 'guestPortalURL' and 'hostPortalURL' parameters. You can also validate the invitation file from the Portal Sharing REST Endpoint. Portal Sharing REST Endpoint > Home > Portals > Self > Collaborations > Validate Invitation Example URL: https://hostname.domain.com/webadaptor/sharing/rest/portals/<portalID>/collaborations Hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Lester, Ellen, The collaboration uses the credentials of the admin users used to create the collaboration when creating content. To have the collaboration create content owned by a different user you would need to recreate the collaboration with a different admin user. Alternatively you could create a script that uses the ArcGIS API for Python to reassign item ownership after the collaboration creates the item. ArcGIS API for Python - Reassign Item Hope this helps! Thanks, Thomas.

Hello Cynthia Loebig, Is the service you are attempting to download hosted in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise? The first thing I would recommend checking is that the service is sync enabled. For a hosted service you can do that from the item details page. Item Details > Settings > Feature Layer > Sync. If you are working with a referenced ArcGIS Server service you can check the service capabilities from service REST endpoint. You can find the service URL in the bottom right corner of the item details page. Example: https://hostname.domain.com/webadaptorname/rest/services/foldername/servicename/FeatureServer/0 Thanks. Thomas.

Hello Sorato Marques, Just to confirm if you try to access ArcGIS Server manager over 'HTTPS' using your web adaptor does the page fail to load? Example URL: https://hostname.domain.com/webadaptorname/manager If you sign into the ArcGIS Server admin endpoint what URL is listed for the web adaptor? ArcGIS Server Administrator Directory > Home > system > webadaptor > webadaptorID > URL Example URL: https://hostname.domain.com/server/admin/system/webadaptors/3fe5fd44-dbd3-4c0a-9662-2bc32aaecce8 If you open the web adaptor configuration page click on server and click next. What URL is listed to access the service directory? "Use the following URL to access the Services Directory:" Finally this problem may be caused by the invalid certificate. I would recommend configuring a valid certificate with ArcGIS Web Adaptor and ArcGIS Server. Hope these suggestions are helpful. Thanks, Thomas.
