Figured it out. I forget some of these new tools are written in Python code. No spaces between words (Nomenclature). There were a couple of folders with spaces so the tool wasn't running. When I made the saved title with no spaces ran beautifully. Thank you so much for your help on the append tool.

Morning Jake, I went ahead and put the new annotation and existing annotation in the same geodatabase but I am still getting an error of "Inputs must reside in the same workplace". Do you know what that means??

We have traffic count maps, where there are new stations added every year. We need to add these new stations to the annotation that was created. For Example, we source the count layer to the new shapefile. We now need to get the new stations added into the annotation layer without losing our annotation. How do we update the geodatabase of annotation??

So does anyone know how to use dynamic text date and make it where it displays the previous year? So, this is what you use for current year <dyn type="date" format="yyyy"/> ABILENE PERMANENT STATION MAP Any help would be appreciated!

That's a nice work around. I'll try that. I'll try my spatial join idea first. Yeah, I was thinking it was going to take Python.

I thought about that but my one layer is a line shapefile. I didn't know if I could move that into an Access.

I just tried it and it won't allow me to put a second field to use for the join.

Yeah, that's the add join. I was reading it some more I don't think that will work. Because, I need 2 fields to 2 fields. Let me explain some more. So, in one table I have a field bmp and a field emp. Like such 0.123 and 1.234. Then I have another table with a field bmp and a field emp. Like such 0.123 and 1.234. I need to join the 2 fields on both tables. So, in the end I'll end up with one table with 4 fields that are the same.

One thing to add the one table is a dbf.

I need to join 2 tables together using 2 fields. For Example, I need to join 2 tables to beginning milepoint field and ending milepoint field. I thought I could use Add Join in thedata management box but I can't seem to get that to work. Any suggestions?????

I have 2 fields I need to concatenate together and add zeros and a hypen. For Example: 0001-02 In the past this code worked : "00{0}-0{1}".format(int(!ACONTROL!)),int(!ASECTION!)) This time I am getting an error of : SyntaxError: unexpected EOF while parsing(<string>, line 1) My empty field I created is a text. The AControl field is a double and the ASection field is a double. Why is my code not working this time? What have I changed? Please help. THanks!

Well, I think the join worked this time. I think the last time I did it I started with the station file instead of the line file. Just by quick check it looks like it worked this time. Thanks for your help.
