HI. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and knows if there is a way to fix it. We are using the AGOL map viewer's share->embed generated html code in external (to AGOL) web sites and the popup buttons do not appear. Well, they are there and work, but there are no button images. This problem seems to only occur in all versions of IE. Chrome and Firefox, at least, are fine. Does anyone know if this is a known bug and/or is there something we can do to fix it? If it helps, here's what we're using. https://ncdot.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Embed/index.html?webmap=352556db969240c99a06a179f56b8403 Thanks!

Hi, I haven't developed a gp service since we upgraded from 10.1 to 10.3.1, but now am having trouble with a few. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a two similar simple gp tools created through modelbuilder that are behaving the same way. Images are attached. Neither use a map service. The output is in_memory. And generally I'm using defaults everywhere. The problem I'm having is that the tool runs locally and publishes successfully, but AGS throws an "ERROR 000816: The tool is not valid" error when I try to execute it in ArcMap. Other gp services I've deployed work (one uses "Select" and another uses "Locate Features Along Routes"), so I'm doing something right somewhere. It sort of seems like AGS doesn't like the "Select Layer By Attribute/Location" tools as I've configured them. But, I'm just guessing. Any help is very much appreciated!

Thank you. But for clarity, I am not doing any coding. I am using the analysis widget through the web app builder hosted through AGOL. Thanks.

Hi. Does anyone know if there is a good way to get around this? I've read about a couple of options but neither is ideal: 1. Change the dates to UTM - which doesn't really work well for us when using internally hosted services in other applications besides ArcGIS Online/web apps. 2. Change dates to a text format - which is a little better until someone wants to filter or search for features on date ranges. If anyone can point me to other options, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks for the followup. My privileges include spatial analysis and elevation analysis. I thought those were the privileges needed to execute the tools in the map viewer. In fact, I have no problem using the tools in the map viewer. Also, I found that Chrome and IE10 provide a little more information: TypeError: Unable to get property 'toString' undefined or null reference Thanks again. It helps to know that it does work.

Hi. I'm trying to add the analysis widget to a WAB app and am getting the following error when I click on any of the tools. What am I missing? TypeError: g(...) is undefined If it matters, I've tried using the Foldable Theme, Jewelry Box Theme, and Tab Theme. And I think i have the correct privileges. Thanks, Mary Ellen

Hi. We're implementing WMX for Desktop for some users and WMX for Server and web app for other users. And we need to develop several "custom" custom steps (e.g. the WMX developer kit samples). So, we need to be able to deploy the same "custom" custom steps in both environments. Can anyone point me to information that could help us answer the following types of questions? ~ How do we deploy a "custom" custom step tool (e.g. something from the WMX developer kit samples) so it is available to users using the web app version of WMX. ~ What is the best practice for creating "custom" custom step tools that need to work in both environments. What is the best approach? What do we need to watch out for? What can we do in one environment, but not the other. ~ In the past, we've created a .dll and installed it on each desktop WMX user's computers - is that the correct way to deploy custom steps for desktop users? Thanks, Mary Ellen

Thanks! I never saw that widget. I really should look at this stuff more closely so I don't ask stupid questions. Thanks again for the help!

Thanks. Now I see. I was also hoping it would be a way to include text like descriptions or instructions that could be collapsed by the user when not needed. Oh well...

Hi. Can someone tell me what the sliding left panel in the jewelry box theme is for? I can't figure it out. Nothing I do seems to put anything there. Thanks, Mary Ellen

Hi. Regarding the comment about the measure tool behavior... this is also a problem for geoprocessing tools. The UI form covers the map and you can't minimize it to interact with the map. Thanks.

Hi. I know this question has been asked here and there within other discussions, but thought I'd see if I could get a more current answer. So, has anyone heard recently when Collector for Windows will be released? And does anyone know what versions of Windows will be supported? Thank you.

Hi. If anyone is interested, I think I solved this myself. There may be more to it, but here is what seemed to work: 1. Publish the original data as a feature layer/service to AGOL. 2. In AGOL, enable edit tracking on the feature layer/service. 3. In AGOL, export the feature layer/service to a file geodatabase and download it locally. 4. Using ArcGIS Desktop, open ArcCatalog and turn off Edit Tracking on the feature class (might want to make a note of the fields first). 5. Add the data to ArcMap and edit the attributes as needed. 6. Re-enable Edit Tracking on the feature class and select the correct fields. 7. Publish the updated data as a new feature layer/service in AGOL. I will add that we have only verified that the updated owners show up in AGOL and the edit tracking settings seem to be working properly. We have not extensively used the new feature layer/service to know if something is broken elsewhere. Hope this helps someone.

Hi. Does anyone know if there is a way to bulk set the "creator" attribute value in an editable AGOL feature layer? We have an existing feature class that we'd like to maintain through AGOL. We'd also like to set editing to only allow users to edit the features they own. To do that, we need to assign ownership to the existing features through, I assume, the "creator" attribute. We've tried a few things unsuccessfully so thought I'd see if anyone has a good idea. Thanks, Mary Ellen
