That's it Tim, thank you. Although it is not as sexy as the old click-and-hold tool function that can interactively rotate the map, it is just what I was looking for, thank you.

I'm not sure if this is even available as it used to be in ArcMap. I cannot tell one way or another within the allotted fifteen minutes of self-help, so I'm turning to our ever present trusted community. I'm looking to rotate the map in ArcPro (Sorry, ArcGIS Pro:) and in ArcMap you can do this with the data frame tools. I'm beginning to wonder if this is only available in ArcPro's 3D viewing mode or something, but haven't I looked yet. I'd be grateful for any input on this, thanks much in advance and Happy Friday !

Russell Roberts wrote: The app you are hosting is going through https, the image is not coming from an https source so its the mixed content. If you load your app through http the image will show up. Conversely, if you add the image that you would like to display within the app to a secure https server, then the splash image will load from the iPhone and the navigation reticle is also available. Thanks for the lead rrussell_mapsinc. I do not exactly understand why only the iPhone does not display this by default, but I don't need to really either Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your input.

Thank you for your reply Russell Roberts Yes of course, it needs to be secure as to allow the devices location to be collected and used from within the application. It is an http vs an https issue, yes I believe you are correct. However, it seems that even when I use https with the image, it still will not load correctly on iPhone, but works on Windows and Android. If I attempt to just view the image URL using https, I get a notice from my iPhone telling me this is unsecure and that I must allow it in order to view. Then the image can again be viewed from Safari on the iPhone. However, there is no way to make this image viewable from Safari on an iPhone from within the application while keeping device location collection service available. Not that I've been able to find anyway. http://www.atlantic-county.org/gis/AGO/Mosquito/MosquitoControlMod3.jpg https://www.atlantic-county.org/gis/AGO/Mosquito/MosquitoControlMod3.jpg It has something to do with Safari settings I think, but I cannot get a workaround. I wonder if there is a way to update the security certificate or, if that would do it? But I've no idea how to even check for that, let alone update it...any thoughts? Thanks again russ1986

My crowd source Mosquito Service Request solution web app will not show the background splash screen image on Safari on an iPhone. This image shows up on Windows and Android phones, but not on iPhones. Could it be a security certificate? Any informaiton would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you Chris. I guess I misunderstood. I thought Google Earth was going away as the API is no longer supported and ArcEarth was going to be the complete solution replacement. Seems like maybe this won't happen soon, so maybe we can request the ability for this and the Bing Streetside view. It would be truly nice to have the ability to view Bing streetside veiw, Google street-view and crowd-shared imagery with location information from a single point of access within ArcEarth. Please let this serve a request for this functionality to be added to ArcEarth. Thanks much for your reply, I look forward to seeing what ArcEarth becomes in the future. For now though, I'm going to share this with my Engineering Department that if they need/want the street views, they'll need to stick with Google or Bing for now. Thanks so much Chris, I remain grateful.

Thank you for the confirmation Christian Wells. I am familiar with the Personal-Gdb limitations and the unsupported database formats, but I do appreciate your pointing them out here, thank you again. In this case I will use Access to feed the map point features in ArcMap (*.mdb), while allowing program staff to manage their clients needs. I was fairly certain I could store these mixed records, but I was not sure if the Personal-Gdb would break (if you will). "Simply put, all a non-spatial record represents to the geodatabase is a NULL record (except for in SDE)" - Thanks again for the confirmation.

Although I never needed or wanted to do this previously, I now find myself in a situation where it would be nice if I could store records containing project history within the same table as my point feature class. I reached out to support and at first they said this was no problem at all, but as the conversation went on it was left as though it might work. So, I'll ask anyone who cares to read this one for their thoughts on this topic. Without severely damaging the integrity of the geodatabase, can you store non-spatial records within a point feature class attribute table or, can you mix spatial and non-spatial records in a single point feature class, within a personal geodatabase?

That would be helpful or maybe a timeline of when features will be added to the ArcGIS Earth application. Thanks much in any case.

From my search results it seems like it is possible to add Google Earth Street View to ArcGIS Earth, if you are a developer with a Google API key. Does anyone know if this has been updated and if it is now possible to add Street-View from within ArcGIS Earth with a button-click?

I have been trying to leverage HTML and email the route of stops to my Android device. With the help of Joel Whitney and Brent Pierce and I have had success routing to one or two stops. Is there anyone out there doing this successfully with dozens of stops and can you share with my your implementation or a copy of a working HTML file?
