It sounds like it’s possible to build enhanced spatial definition queries using ArcPy: ENHANCING THE ARCGIS PRO DEFINITION QUERY SPATIAL CLAUSE WITH ARCPY WITH A MULTI-LAYER GEOMETRY FILTER https://learn.finaldraftmapping.com/enhancing-the-arcgis-pro-definition-query-spatial-clause-with-arcpy-with-a-multi-layer-geometry-filter/ Since spatial definition queries can only be configured using the UI, not with SQL, I’m wondering if it would be useful to have a “Python Definition” section in the definition query dialog to customize the spatial definition query. It would be similar to the existing SQL definition section for non-spatial definition queries. There would be obvious trade offs; it would be confusing to define the non-spatial part of definition queries with SQL and the spatial part with Python. But it seems like a pretty powerful concept to customize spatial definition queries using Python, yet most people wouldn’t know that’s possible. So I’m wondering if this idea would be a way for users to fully utilize this functionality.

I want to copy a specific column, such as the Field Name column, to the clipboard by clicking the column header to select it and hitting CTRL+C. Currently, clicking the column header doesn't do anything. And right-clicking the column header and clicking Copy doesn't work. Nothing gets copied to the clipboard. That might be a bug. I'm aware that I can select the entire Fields View "table" by clicking the top left square of the table. But I want to only select a specific column and copy it.

It sounds like spatial definition queries aren’t supported in ArcGIS Online: 00428: The definition query spatial clause is not supported by the server Could that functionality be added?

For my notes: As a novice, it looks like the deprecated Web AppBuilder can do this using the Smart Editor widget. The Smart Editor widget stays open while the pop-up from the other layer is open.

@MikeMinami , regarding your comment. If you want to set the default value for a field, you need to do so on the feature template used to create features. Map viewer classic supported creating and editing feature templates, and now so does Map viewer. Check out this blog post for more information. The long answer is that the default value on a field (stored on the service) has somewhat limited utility because it gets overridden by a subtype default value and feature templates. Even if we support changing the default value on the field, it doesn't propagate to feature templates. When you add a new feature and use a feature template, the feature template has its own default value. Now, you might think, updating the default value on the field it should also update the default value on the template. We don't do that because you may have explicitly set the default value on the template that's appropriate to the defined feature. Like others, I suspect it would be useful to be able to change the default value in a feature layer, for groups who don't use feature templates. And if people do use feature templates, then it's up to them to change any default values in the templates if needed; that's just part of normal business when we have user interfaces/front ends (like feature templates).

It would be great if we could set up a calculated default value for a given field in a hosted feature layer, since it's hard or impossible to change existing default values. For example: sysyear sysyear + 1 Related comment from @L77 in Allow Default Value to be removed or changed in Hosted Feature Service Field View

For any AGOL novices like me: It looks like it's possible to change a default value in a Survey123 form UI, but not in the underlying hosted feature layer settings.

I want to view a feature's attributes in a pop-up from one layer and create a feature in a different layer — at the same time. As far as I can tell, that isn't possible in Experience Builder. Could that functionality be added? More info here: AGOL Map Viewer Idea - Keep explore popup open when creating new feature

I've created an AGOL instant app from a web map using the Web Editor Template. @bbollin To clarify, there is a public webmap that you don't own but have permission to update, and a view that is shared either via a group or the org but not publicly? I created the web map and own it and can update it. But I don’t have any sharing privileges. The GIS administrator shared it with everyone. And same goes for the view, except it isn’t shared with anyone yet. When you add this view and save the webmap, you are getting the dialog above that you CAN update the view item (when in reality you can't). Does that sound right? I could modify the view if I wanted to, but I can’t share it since I don’t have any sharing privileges.
