Thank you. I have already upvoted on ArcGIS Ideas. I just think it is crap, that running a repair tool on a mosaic would update it to the new format. All it is doing is re-pointing the location of the reference files! And why is there no warning message when the tool is run to notify you that the format will be updated and no longer accessible in older versions? By running the update, our image service has become corrupt as it can no longer view the mosaic. Dozens of our apps are down and many internal users cannot even view the imagery through their SDE connection. I would tell everyone to just upgrade ArcGIS Desktop, but many users cannot do that yet as they are using integrated software that prevents them from doing so. ESRI disappoints me more and more with every new release.

We just ran into a similar problem. We have several Mosaic Datasets that were built in an Enterprise Geodatabase at version 10.3.1 This weekend I ran a repair on them all to re-point the location of the overviews to be an UNC network path. This tool was ran in version 10.5 and now everyone in the office who is still on version 10.4 are no longer able to view the mosaics. Additionally, our ArcGIS Server on version 10.4 is no longer able to view the imagery even though I added the UNC path to the data store. When I check the database properties it has the following under the Upgrade Status... "This 10.3.1 Geodatabase matches the ArcGIS release you are currrently using, however, database internals such as stored procedures can be updated." Seems like a bug if you ask me. Can anyone from https://community.esri.com/groups/technical-support?sr=search&searchId=405ec920-4acd-49cb-bf84-6c0ee99df053&searchIndex=4 please comment on this issue? Thanks, Kathleen

We have a base map service that displays different layers (with different cartography) based on the zoom level of the map. In our AGOL web app we use the print widget which works fine when printing to the current map scale. When we select a different map scale in the print widget, the base map does not display correctly because the widget has passed the currently view able map layers to the widget for printing. But often times those layers are not visible at the scale selected for printing, and different layers are visible. However, the print widget does not seem to accommodate for the visible layers at the selected print scale. I have tried to customize the print widget to zoom to the selected print scale before sending the print command. But the map is passed to the widget as soon as the widget is launched. I even tried to redefine the map reference in the widget after the zoom takes place... but this did not seem to work. We cannot possibly be the only company who has scale dependent base maps that have users who require scale specific print levels. I believe this is a bug in the print widget. Can someone from https://community.esri.com/groups/technical-support?sr=search&searchId=728c33bd-5b7e-4333-9727-fff1a829433f&searchIndex=2 or the https://community.esri.com/community/developers/web-developers/arcgis-online-developers?sr=search&searchId=1cf08b7e-9cba-4fe2-84ad-5e9a7247544d&searchIndex=2 Team please look into this issue? Thanks!

Kelly, When Chrome Vox is enabled the box in the center of the screen does not show up and the map flickers and dances around. At least that is what I was experiencing. Google Chrome Version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit) Chrome Vox Version 53.0.2784.5 I have not modified any of the settings. All the setting are set to the default. Thanks, Kathleen

This is pretty nice Kelly. Thank you for sharing! I will need to look at it more closely when I have time. Is there an option to select a feature and get more information about it? or is all the information read from the bottom information area? also, it seems to have issues in chrome with chrome vox running. I hope you guys eventually add standard functionality like this in the map object of the javascript api in the future...

We have an ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 site that runs in IIS 7 through the Web Adapter on port 80 (HTTP only). I installed 3 Web Adapters several years ago for different access points to this server. All these installs were done silently as required by the name and site number conflict using the wizard. Now we have decided to upgrade to 10.5 and we want our new server to use HTTPS. We also want to install Portal. So we are creating brand new sites and installs for these on new virtual servers. I created the two new sites in IIS (one for the new ArcGIS Server and one for Portal) I was having trouble installing the new 10.5 Web Adapter silently from the command line. So I closed CMD and re-opened it using the Run as Administrator option. The Web Adapter installed fine on the first try on the site I dedicated to ArcGIS Server, but I cannot for the life of me get it to install on the second site I was dedicating to Portal. The weird thing is, it goes through the entire install process and everything looks like it worked just fine (no errors), but when it finishes, it just isn't there. I am positive I am assigning a unique name, and the site number is correct. All the permissions are set the same for both sites and the bindings are set on both for port 443. Does any one have any incite on this? Has anyone else tried to do a silent install and it looks like it works, but never actually gets installed? Here was my exact process below... (and yes i even tried to use port 80 and that didn't work either. Run cmd as administrator cd C:\Temp\ArcGIS_10.5\WebAdaptorIIS\SetupFiles msiexec /I setup.msi /qb VDIRNAME=arcgisserver WEBSITE_ID=9 PORT=443 ADDLOCAL=ALL (installed first try) msiexec /I setup.msi /qb VDIRNAME=arcgisportal WEBSITE_ID=10 PORT=443 ADDLOCAL=ALL (will NOT install)

Shana, Which of the three sub address options is preferred? Just curious, how do the results vary if someone was to enter Bldg D, Unit 2 (instead of Bldg D, Apt 2) or if they where to type it all out (Building D, Apartment 2). Does one of the methods work better than the others? Thanks, Kathleen

We just upgraded ArcDesktop from 10.4.1 to 10.5 and I am curious why ESRI has removed the address number prefix and suffix elements from the Single House SubAddress locator? Similarly, why did they decide to get rid of a second sub address option? We have thousands of addresses with both building and unit identifiers. And we have thousands of addresses that have address number suffixes. It seems to me that this last release has gone backwards in functionality and usability. Is there any plan to bring this capability back to the Single House SubAddress locator in future releases?

This thread is fairly old and I am not certain what version on ArcGIS the user of the original post was referring to... But I just want to mention that we are still experiencing this issue at version 10.4.1 Thanks for providing the work around by using a geolocator server!

We just did an inplace upgrade on a Hyper-V machine from Windows Server 2008 R2 SP2 to Windows Server 2012 R2. We are currently on ArcGIS Server 10.2.2, but it handled the upgrade with no issues.

I found a few bugs had been reported that seemed relevant to this issue. Both said the issue had been fixed in version 10.4 I just upgraded to 10.4 and am still having this error occur. These scripts run fine in version 10.2.2

This continues to be an issue for us. We have several scripts that have been written over the years that we either have set to run on scheduled tasks or we run annually during different times of the year. Most of these scripts now fail at version 10.3.1 due to this error. ERROR 000358: Invalid expression This error is occurring on both the MakeTableView and MakeFeatureLayer methods. All of our tables and layers have OBJECTID fields. I really hope that someone from ESRI can track the error down and fix it soon. We have already upgraded all our desktop machines to 10.3.1 and are hoping to upgrade our servers in a couple months. But this issue is going to leave us dead in the water if it isn't fixed.
