So it is happening again today with a different survey: I went to go get the log document and the logger was turned off again. Is there a way to keep it on? I turned it on and tried to publish again and it asked me to log in again, then took much longer than normal to create web form then got stuck on the same screen. I gave the whole process 8 or so minutes to work itself out. It usually takes seconds, no longer than 15 to 30 seconds to publish. I did not get any type of error pop up, I ended up closing the screen. See attached logger document.

I turned on the log and next time it happens I will post the log file in this thread. I had already deleted the old and created a new survey to publish.

Hey all, I have had the occasion several times with different surveys "getting stuck" and not publishing. The screen that it gets stuck on is attached. I am able to publish other surveys again without restarting or rebooting the program. My only solution is to create a new survey. This has happened enough times to get rather inefficient. Does anyone else have this issue and have a solution?

Thanks for the reply. Is there any way that I could add an intermediate question that can return a number >=1 for the number of line feeds found or 0 if no line feed is found. If so then I can put a constraint on that question that it must be 0. This can accomplish what I would like. I would just need to know what expression to use to search for the line feed.

I was hoping to put in a constraint for all my text questions with the multiline appearance that will not allow a line feed (ie does not allow the user to hit enter and create a new line rather the user must use one continuous line with spaces and punctuation). I am not well educated in coding and cannot figure out using the regular expressions documentation. Any ideas on how I can accomplish this? What I do not want: "Apple Banana Pear" What I do want: "Apple, Banana, Pear"

I would say that I agree with the exception of calculate question types. I have found that those will trigger a calculation when in a group that is not relevant. I have used this functionality to accomplish what I would like. The downside to this is that one must create many domains in the feature service that would have been created if there was other functionality to allow for calculations while "not relevant". There is also more time and effort in creating and maintaining the survey excel which is now rather long. With that there is a way to accomplish what I want to be done, and for that I am grateful. I have been able to reduce post processing of my data a significant amount, so the trade off in time spent creating will end up paying off. Thank you for the suggestion for improvement. Katie.

I had to add a few fields to my service definition and by default they are added to the end of the service definition. I would like to move them higher up in the definition. How can I go about doing this? I have tried to use Update definition in JSON and got a confirmation that updates were made. When I went to check to see if they updates were made there were not. Any ideas?

Hello, I did some troubleshooting with our inhouse staff and she found that it was a web browser issue. This bug happens in Internet Explorer 11. I did the same process in Chrome and it worked just fine. Thanks!

Sorry I did not include this in my first post but, here is an example. My assumption was that the calculation would happen regardless of the relevant statement, so I has started with a simple calculation statement. I learned it did not and beefed up my calculation statement to account for the relevant statements. That still did not work. I have attached an example. I tried to do the default to be -99 but then I got a result of -99 for those questions that required a 0. Any ideas of a solution? Katie.

Hello, I am having trouble with understanding how the Required, Default, Relevant and Calculate work relate to one another in Survey123. I understand the if a default is applied this default will populate the feature service if the question is relevant or not. I would like to know how the rest relates so I know how to write calculations, relevant statements, requirement statements and use defaults to accomplish the desired outcome in the feature service. Is there ever a situation where the calculation will take place when it is not relevant? What is the overall hierarchy/sequence of events/rules when these fields are populated in any combination. Is there any relationship to these and the type of question? Katie.

Hello, I have been editing my feature service domains in AGO and I have noticed a possible bug. when I add or edit a domain and then hit enter it deletes one of my other established domains. Has anyone else noticed this issue? Is this a bug or is there a reason for this function? I would prefer that not to happen rather instead another line gets added instead. Thanks! Katie.

Hello, I was wondering if there was any efforts to put the Imagery Hybrid basemap that is available on AGO and ArcGIS Pro into the Default Map Type options in Survey123. Thanks! Katie.

Thanks for the ideas! Does this mean that select single and multiple now support a null field type. It was my understanding that they were not at this time. Katie.
