Jacob, this may be related to the issue you've seen. I have seen that Z values do not get updated while trying to update a point using an R2 GNSS unit and the Update Point button when using Field Maps and Trimble Mobile Manager. The GNSS metadata remains intact. The workflow goes like this: first, get the GNSS unit powered up and connected, open Field Maps, open the map, tap an existing point which has a Z value already assigned, scroll down to the edit button, tap the Update Point button, then tap Submit. The Z value does not change. This can be seen by checking it with ArcMap (if you don't have an expression setup to show the Z values in ArcGIS Online). We did some testing with the Collector app. It was able to update Z values on existing points which already had Z values assigned. If you can find a device that still has Collector installed, this may be a helpful test. I have found the older apps (Collector, Collector Classic) to be helpful diagnostic tools when the current app (Field Maps) has trouble. This issue is filed with ESRI technical support under case # 03253130.

It only took a little less than two years to decide that something as basic as UNC file path support might be helpful.

I came across this same issue. I put in a support request with with ESRI, case # 03121376. I think what we end up with here is tessellated curves in the shape column and true curves (arcs) in the GDB_GEOMATTR_DATA column. I think this is how ESRI software handles the two columns: If GDB_GEOMATTR_DATA contains a value, read that, if not, read the shape column. Even if this binary data in the GDB_GEOMATTR_DATA column could be converted to a CircularString or CompoundCurve and put into the shape field, would ESRI products be able to read those records? It would be helpful if we could get at the GDB_GEOMATTR_DATA column with database spatial functions. This is marked as solved but the last post indicates that it may not be. Is it the case that the original map document cannot be saved? I noticed that ArcCatalog's Set Data Source does not save the original but instead saves a copy. Maybe writing a new map document would be a workaround (less than ideal).

Do the same links that we use for Collector under iOS and Android not work on Windows 10? I tried this but the Collector app is not opened. The attached / embedded screen capture shows page which appears in a web browser after clicking a Collector link in Windows 10. The same links work as they should under iOS. Reference for building Collector links is here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/ipad/help/deploy-map.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_F7DE2402BA8743E5BFC4A1241072960E Working with Windows version 20.0.1.0 on Windows 10. Thank you for any help.

There is no need to migrate. Relationships were established using text data type primary and foreign keys. Hoping to find out-of-the-box tools to migrate to global ID-based relationships.

Is it true that both Collector (v. 21.0.4) and Field Maps (v. 21.3.0) require global ID-based relationships for those relationships to function properly? We are using ArcGIS Server 10.7.1. If so, are there out-of-the-box tools which would facilitate migration to this system? Tools from either Desktop or "Pro" would be fine. Reference: https://community.esri.com/t5/data-management-questions/migrating-to-globalid-relationship/m-p/426009#M24395 Thanks for any help.

This post is specifically about linking between pages of a PDF rather than hyperlinks. Has anyone seen how AutoCAD through its Sheet Set Manager handles linking pages of a PDF to a master page? Bear in mind that all of the pages are in the same PDF. I have very little knowledge of it but can say that it uses what we would call Dynamic Text as the basis of a link that goes from a master page to a child page (or index page to detail page). There is some setup involved but it is mostly automated. I've given a vague description and there are more details to how it works. The inserted graphic shows what is setup by AutoCAD in the PDF. A couple of possible issues. Do the folks at GeoPDF stand to lose substantial market share if ESRI builds this into ArcGIS Pro? Has Autodesk built their own comprehensive PDF object library, which ESRI does not have, at least to this broad of an extent? Or did Autodesk purchase a PDF object library which ESRI does not have? Just trying to spur some thoughts about how the ESRI developers might implement links between the pages of a PDF.
