@XanderBakker - assuming we store the custom property and value in a table, how do we get the information on to the Item Details page? Web Map or item specific information would be useful on the Item Details page. An example of how a custom property and value might be displayed is shown in the graphic below. Just to bolster this problem a bit more in an attempt to get it fixed or receive an explanation...the option "Create a folder for the project" seems to have no effect. I unchecked this option because a folder already exists but "Pro" still creates a folder. I checked the option trying to understand what it does, there was no difference. @dsinha - not directly with Field Maps. There are a couple of workarounds. 1. Take the picture with a third-party camera app that adds a watermark. We use the Timestamp Pro / Free app. It isn't great but works ok. Then create a point in Field Maps, attach the photo that was taken with your third-party camera app to your point. It adds a bit of hassle and time to the field personnel's workflow. 2. If you are storing the photos in a DBMS, use SQL tools to extract the photos, run them through a program such as Robogeo to add the watermark, then put them back into their records. This would be a manual process, although it could be done in batches. Versioning could be tricky unless you use 'move edits to base'.  3. When building the map in AGOL, setup a custom URL (app linking) link in the pop-up that calls the Survey123 app. It looks like the user has to create a point, enter the attributes, then click on the point, then click on the click on the link. Ideal would be the Survey123 app is called automatically. Feel free to correct me on this. @HannesVogel had a post about working with EXIF data in Survey123 here. Also, look for posts by @DougBrowning about Survey123. Watermark documentation for Survey123 is here. Meeting user requirements with ESRI in the mobile environment is a challenge. No single mobile app contains all the needed functionality. Field Maps does things that Survey123 can't. Survey123 does things that Field Maps can't. I can't say if this will work but would like to comment. If we have less functionality from a DBMS after it goes through ArcGIS Server and Portal, should we be asking questions? There are cases when a person may want to remove certain functions, which is a different scenario. Column and row-level permissions are available in some DBMSs, but after going through ArcGIS Server and Portal these capabilities are mostly lost.  ... View more

@SionaARoberts - I will address the lack of support for dynamic range adjustment. From my testing, none of the recent ESRI mobile apps support dynamic range adjustment (at least in this scenario).  Field Maps for iOS (24.2.0) does not support dynamic range adjustment. Field Maps for Android (24.3.0) does not support dynamic range adjustment. Collector for iOS (21.0.4) does not support dynamic range adjustment. Collector for Android (20.2.2) does not support dynamic range adjustment. Explorer for iOS (24.2.0) does not support dynamic range adjustment. This testing was done using an Image Service provided by our Server instance through an AGOL proxy item. That is a different configuration - you are using AGOL hosted imagery (and not basemap imagery). One thing that does provide support for dynamic range adjustment in mobile devices - use of a web mapping application, created by Web App Builder. ESRI makes it hard on our end users by not providing full support in one end user interface. ... View more

From the documentation in the link provided by @David_McRitchie : Block all updates You can block the ability to update ArcGIS Pro from within the application. This option is only available with administrator access. To block all updates, browse to the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESRI\ArcGISPro\Settings and set the value of CheckForUpdatesAtStartup to 0. We can't go around and do this manually on every machine. So we have to go to our IT department and get them to push this change out to each machine that runs Pro. That's a hassle. After installing License Manager 2022.1, I am seeing similar behavior.  How do we like the idea that the License Manager software is allowed to destroy useful information? @PatrickMcKinney99 - if the lmgrd log file reset (rollover) were done monthly by the software, wouldn't the first entry be 12/1/2023? I found the article linked below. Not sure if all of it applies. ArcGIS License Manager documentation does mention the use of a DEBUGLOG option in the ARCGIS.opt file, just like this article. I would switch the basemap to use your local state plane coordinate system and avoid the conversion. I would also find a trusted control point to check in and out at. Of course this control point will reference the same coordinate system as your basemap. I like to use NGS control points when reasonably possible. If you use a basemap that references a coordinate system which doesn't match that of your control point, a conversion has to be done. Does NGS or a surveyor stand behind that conversion?  The conversion may be within a reasonable error tolerance but I don't know how to quantify that. Even if I could quantify the conversion error, I'd rather be following the practices of surveyors. Points collected between a check in and check out that meet the error tolerance can be assumed to be within that same tolerance (depending on your requirements). As an example, if you space your check in and check out 8 hours apart and collect points in between, a failed check out means you lose ~8 hours worth of work. Make a check at 4 hours and the risk is cut down to losing 4 hours worth of work. You could also watch for issues such as PDOP spikes and ionosphere issues and avoid those times. Surveyors with professional survey software have better ways of limiting error. Horizontal error of ~ 0.10 feet at control points has been commonly achievable for us without canopy interference. There are times when the R2 / ArcGIS Field Maps / Trimble Mobile Manager simply won't connect or get to an RTK fixed position but tomorrow it will. Have a great day. ... View more

If you noticed that the starting and ending station labels are missing, the starting station label can be added by checking the "place at extremeties" option. For whatever reason, that option does not add a station label at the end. I haven't found a way to add the ending station label.   Has anyone figured out how to add the ending station label? ... There could be an explanation, but horizontal alignment seems poorly implemented. So users have to figure out that the stacking separators, which are added by default when the stack label option is enabled, should be deleted if they aren't needed.  ... View more

The "cannot compute flight height from input parameters" error appears in the bug report linked below. The bug was supposed to have been fixed at version 3.2.
