I had a similar problem. Have you used AGOL Assistant to check if the spatialReference property of the basemap layer is set to wkid 3438 rather than the wkt description? Check this in the JSON file for the map (rather than the layer). The description is much longer than the wkt. See the two graphics below. To be clear, spatialReference should be set to "wkid": 6381. If you find this is the problem, you will need to make this change manually every time using AGOL Assistant after saving the map with Map Viewer or Map Viewer Classic. If this is the problem you can mention case # 03174467 to placate ESRI support. The analyst (Dhanaraj) on that case was outstanding. By the way...I would make sure the conversion from EPSG 3438 (which is probably the original realization of NAD 1983 (1986)) to WKID 6318 (NAD 1983 (2011)) is working correctly. Making some checks against NGS monuments will tell the story. We have had problems with ArcGIS Server making this conversion. It would be better if you could set your basemap to match the GNSS coordinate system since this removes the question about conversion. If ArcGIS Online isn't mandatory, Terraflex might make your life easier. I don't much care for either company's products but Terraflex handles coordinate systems, external GNSS connections and enterprise management better than Field Maps. Terraflex does not carry all of the features Terrasync.

@Terralytics, This sounds like it could be very helpful. Do you know if the parameter can be saved with the WMS as an item in AGOL? If so, does this mean security can be handled entirely by AGOL? Thanks for any help.

@GraemeBrowning_Aurizon : I would be looking for a way to automate the conversion of the measures to points so the labeling engine can be used (instead of symbology). Since linear referencing support was removed from ArcGIS Server years ago, I have been doing this as a workaround (in ArcMap) so stationing can be displayed in online maps. Come to think of it, if I'm doing this as a workaround, it proves the labeling engine is suitable for measures. It is silly for ESRI to not use the labeling engine for measures. How long can you wait for ESRI to fix this, if they ever do? Hopefully you didn't buy the Roads and Highways extension yet.

Here is an experimental idea which could enable authenticated access via Google Earth to a KML web service through a Network Link on ArcGIS Server. I don't have a spare ArcGIS Server / Web Adapter / IIS environment to test this on. Assuming you are using Web Adapter, try enabling Integrated Windows Authentication. There is a topic in the Web Adapter version 7.1 documentation titled 'Configure Web Tier Authentication with Integrated Windows Authentication'. You'll want to read and follow those steps. Doing this means the built-in token-based security in Server will no longer be used. I am using the built-in token security and cannot make this change easily. Maybe, just maybe, when Google Earth makes a call to the ArcGIS Server web service for KML content (through the Network Link), either a login dialog will be presented or IIS will seamlessly / silently accept the credentials that are running the Google Earth session. I have not considered the issues this might cause with Portal or AGOL and how to get around those. I sure am interested to hear the results of anyone who might be able to test this.

I don't have an answer. An additional way to verify that a service's security is the problem is to load the KMZ link into ArcGIS Earth. It is setup to handle ArcGIS Server security.

Using ArcGIS Server version 10.7.1 with the old (classic) Map Viewer, relationship classes are functional. Switching to the new Map Viewer, relationship classes no longer work. This post says ArcGIS Server 11.2 supports relationships. So support for relationships was dropped from version 10.7 to 11.1 if the new Map Viewer is used? Maybe they could be made to work with the Map Viewer Classic, but aren't we being encouraged to switch to the new Map Viewer?

Why not provide filtering capabilities in the Map Viewer using URL parameters? Going further, why not have parity between the Map Viewer and the mapping web apps in terms of URL parameters? Good work in trying to use surveying techniques in Field Maps / TMM. Have you seen the link below? Can you create a geoid file from your local site? https://community.trimble.com/viewdocument/how-to-side-load-custom-geoids-f?CommunityKey=2724bc18-0fbe-4f63-a41c-4a5fa6264382&tab=librarydocuments This may not be all that's needed but you could test it. We still have the coordinate system that's assigned to the map (and its layers). I'm not a Trimble fan, but the TSC5 does allow you to run GIS software (Field Maps) and survey software such (Trimble Access) on the same device. I understand that a screen rotation app is needed to make Field Maps work in landscape mode. Trimble won't license the Android version of Trimble Access on a non-Trimble device, otherwise we would have a lot of devices that could be used. It might be wise for us to ask for integration of GIS and survey. Yeah, we get improvements in drips and drops but why not integrate Trimble Access with ArcGIS Online? @JoelCusick/ @JoelCusick1 - do you have your ears on? Joel may be able to help.

In QGIS, we can use the expression "num_geometries($geometry)" in the Field Calculator to return a count of geometry parts. Isn't there an expression which could be used in the Field Calculator to either detect or count multipart geometry? Thanks for any help.

In BUG-000161250, related records would not display nor would attachments to those related records. That's what it should say. I wasn't able to find the bug on the ESRI site so I don't know what it actually says. Hmm, never heard that before. How can I read a gdb file with MS Access?

Hi, @MelissaSalich. As a workaround you may be able to convert the feature class and related attachment table to a file geodatabase then to a personal geodatabase (mdb), then use MS Access with the Access Imagine extension to make your report. This extension enables Access to read an image from a MS Access table, is very inexpensive, although it does not handle rotation. You may need ArcGIS Desktop to go from a file geodatabase to a personal geodatabase. This is how I got around BUG-000161250. A live data connection would be preferable, but so would software that works!

Great tip, @RonnieRichards. It would be great if you could share the SQL that you used to delete the Global ID column in your RDBMS. 11 years and still no fix for this? I'm quite weary of the way ESRI treats us.

I have not changed to Server version 11.1 yet. Have you tried popups in both Map Viewer and Map Viewer classic? Did you check in your browser's Developer Tools for errors or things that don't completely load? Did you check your ArcGIS Server logs for errors? Can you make the popups work with the SampleWorldCities service that comes with ArcGIS Server? Assuming you published from an APRX file, did you rebuild the APRX file from scratch and publish a new service and test with that? Hopefully the change to 11.1 was done in a test environment? Or maybe you imaged the production server prior to the change so you can quickly go back to the older version that was functional? It may be helpful to have a test server setup where you can load a newer version of Server and test it prior to putting it in production use.

John, Thank you for trying to help. I could be misunderstanding but I don't think adding a buffer is a workaround. What really needs to happen is the tiles need to get shifted inward in both the X and Y directions to create overlap. Adding a buffer to the makes the index tiles larger than the data frame. I don't think we want that to happen. Again, I could misunderstand what you're suggesting.
