Ok, thanks for the feedback. Will wait for September then. Thank you. Will come back to this thread to confirm it is fixed the next month.

Just forgot to mention one (probably really) important thing: this is happening to all my ortophotos. Other tile services seems fine. It would be nice to have a feedback from ESRI, as these services used to work without displaying artifacts before I posted this question. And regardless the zoom/browser.

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to publish a map service to ArcGIS Server which uses a custom geographic transformation. Is that supported? So far, I created my custom transformation in ArcMap with the "Create custom geographic transformation" tool, then I published my mxd as a map service, having specified my newly created transformation method in the data frame. From the results window I then published the "create custom geographic transformation" used before as a geoprocessing service, run it and now I have my ".gtf" file into "C:\Users\<arcgisserveruser>\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\Server10.5\ArcToolbox\CustomTransformations". Apparently, this does not make my map service using the transformation, as if I try to import it from the catalog window in the mxd I used for publishing, there is a shift between the map service and the feature classes.

I have also found this other thread where the same issue was resolved rbooting the hosting server. I know this is probably not feasile for ArcGIS Online...

Thanks again for the quick feedback. This is very strange. Apparently, changing the zoom of the browser in Firefox does not fix the problem in my case. Also, zooming in and out in the different level of scales of my tile services the grid tends to disappear in some cases and in some areas, while being present in others. The same happens in IE, BUTnot in Chrome. Actually, in Chrome the artifacts are not present. The only thing is that I really never noticed this before, and I could swear it never happened before my colleague noticed it yesterday. Now it seems all the maps I've created so far are full of these whiteish grid which looks awful. I will try to reccomend using Chrome if this is really necessary. As I said, this happens also in other computers, with different Windows versions and different hardware.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I am at 100%. Any other ideas? Actually it wasn't me noticing this behaviour but a colleague from another office. So it does not seem related to a specific machine, rather (probably) to ESRI's servers??? This is of course just a guess, as our tile services used to work without problems and it's hard to say we did something recently that broke tile caches generated before this happened on AGOL. And again, tiles look fine in an AGOL webmap, but not in the Javascript (REST) viewer. Thanks,

I found out that my Tile Services now show up with a thin whitish border around, so that it seems a grid overlays my tile layers (see image below). This does not seem to happen when consuming the service in a web map from AGOL, but it does from the ArcGIS Javascript Viewer (opened from REST), and when consume the service in my app using the Javascript API (v.4). Strangely, it not only happens with the new created tile services, but also with old ones that used to work without problems.

Hi, I have many tile layers in my AGOL. I just found out that accessing the REST directory (which is like "https://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/ /arcgis/rest/services?token=[TOKEN]"), I don't see some of them. I can confirm those services do exist, are present in "My Content", and all work fine in the map viewer. Strangely, the list of tile service in the REST folder is exactly 100, but I am sure I have more. Is the REST page limiting the number to a maximum (i.e. 100)? Can it be increased so that I can actually see my whole services? I have also noticed that at the very bottom of each MapServer page in REST, there is a list of Tile Servers. Mine is like: https://tiles1.arcgis.com/tiles/ /arcgis/rest/services/[SERRVICE_NAME]/MapServer https://tiles2.arcgis.com/tiles/ /arcgis/rest/services/[SERRVICE_NAME]//MapServer https://tiles3.arcgis.com/tiles/ /arcgis/rest/services/[SERRVICE_NAME]//MapServer https://tiles4.arcgis.com/tiles/ /arcgis/rest/services/[SERRVICE_NAME]//MapServer Just as a side note, I have 119 Tile Layers in my AGOL. Thanks in advance.

I just changed the title because it seems the real problem comes when federating the ArcGIS Server with Portal. WebAdaptor is now working just fine. I can connect to my ArcGIS Server machine from within ArcMap using the external URL and credentials with no problem. As long as I federate the server with the Portal, I cannot connect anymore. Morevore, if I try to login to ArcGIS Server (e.g.) REST, I am redirected when doing it from the visrtual machine, and I receive a Timeout Exceed error from another machine, with the URL being very strange (something like "https://servername/arcgis/login?ReturnUrl=https://servername/arcgis/rest/services). I also tried the solutions provided in this thread, but noe of them solved the problem. I am using a Self signed certification, could this be the real problem? Thanks

Still struggling to get it working. I uninstalled the webadaptor to hopefully connect from ArcMap at least, but when I do it I receive an error saying "Error: Unable to acquire authentication token." Also, i noticed that when I try to access the URL "https://beagis.westus2.cloudapp.azure.com:6443/arcgis/rest/services" from outside, ArcGIS Server REST opens up, but when I try to login, it keeps redirecting me to the internal https://bea-arcgis-srv.1radqad4t4hulcabelsigtpwqb.xx.internal.cloudapp.net which is never resolved obviously, because it's only seen from within the same virtual and nowhere else.

Hi, the machine in question has winserver 2016 and IIS 10. ArcGIS Enterprise pre-installed and not configured ("esri" image in the MS Azure market). Now I'm in the process of installing and configuring the WebAdaptor. In previous installations I checked that the URL I was using to access the webadaptor was the external DNS so that I could access arcgis server and portal from outside through port 80. Inthis installation, I have problems in doing so for Portal in the sense that when I click on "Cofigure" in "https://<my_external_DNS>/arcgis/webadaptor/portal", it says that configuration succeeded, but the link provided does not work (a blank page shows up). I typed in as the portal URL "https://<my_external_DNS>:7443" for portal. For ArcGIS Server it does not even configure. I receive an error saying "Additional non-parsable characters are at the end of the string". Strangely, unregistering WebAdaptor from Portaladmin, I can access the portal with https://<my_external_DNS>:7443, but it automatically redirects to https://<my_internal_DNS>:7443/arcgis/home/. To be precise: https://beagis.westus2.cloudapp.azure.com:7443 redirects to https://bea-arcgis-srv.1radqad4t4hulcabelsigtpwqb.xx.internal.cloudapp.net:7443/arcgis/home/ . I think this is the problem and this is how the installation provided with the image was dsigned. If I use the internal_DNS I can succesfully configure the WebAdaptor, but I had other problems, like not being able to login to arcgis/rest/services (after pressing login I was receiving a Timeout Exceed error). The only source I could find to be of help was this other thread, specifically one comment saying "I had a similar problem on my Windows network system. Seems it was because I had initially setup things using our internal network names (before installing our SSL certs). I needed to unregistered portal from the Web Adapter and then go through the setup using the public domain name the cert was applied to.". I need this to work as it should have been easier than installing everything from scratch, but it is getting even way harder... Aprreciate any help.

We are trying to configure an ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5.1 on a MS Azure virtual machine. The OS is Win server 2016 with IIS 10. ArcGIS Enterprise was pre-installed on the machine (using the image available at my.esri), and ArcGIS Server and Potal are running properly on ports 6080/6443 and 7443 respectively. It is a "single-machine" installation (only one GIS server machine/site). Actually, we are facing the problem that http://localhost is responding with error 500. The same happens after we installed WebAdaptor accessing http://localhost/server/webadaptor. We have an error regarding ASP.NET (see "aspnetERROR1325) and another on IIS (please see the image below). We would need to configure properly the WebAdaptor to: federate our server to the portal using port 80 to provide GIS services Another thing is that we noticed that, differently than what we were used to in previous installations, the account of the ArcGIS server is SYSTEM, not local (again, this was pre-configured in the image, we actually didn't touch that). Does anybody have a clue about what could be wrong with the setup? Thanks in advance for any help.
