Hi Bethany, Thanks for the response, I've opened a Premium ticket regarding this as well (Esri Case #03844065). Posted here as well to see if others have experienced this type of behavior also. Thanks, Amanda Huber

Hello, It appears our scheduled Data Pipeline is no longer writing to the service it's configured to write to. The "Add and Update" output preview in Data Pipelines shows the data should be getting added, but when visiting the service that it's writing to the data isn't actually there. There seems to be a bug or it broke around Feb 16th as that's the last we have for the data. Data Pipeline Output Preview: Data Service: When looking at the last edited date, it appears the pipeline is updating the service just not with the new segments- Does anyone know what could be going on with this or why this is happening? Thanks, Amanda Huber

Hello AGOL Team, Please add the ability to see on the item details page what groups/names of groups an item is shared to. Currently there is no way to see this from the item details page (list exposed with names). When hovering over the sharing section it just gives us this: Then when clicking edit, we still can't see the names of the groups: Upon clicking "Edit group sharing" there still is no exposed list to view these groups: One must click the dropdown to be able to see the list finally: As administrators it's crucial for us to quickly find this information and ideally reduce the number of clicks/windows to have to go through, plus it's not an intuitive process for most general users. Please consider adding an exposed list with titles to the item details page. Thank you, Amanda Huber

After more testing we were able to find the answer to this- When adding an inset map in a map series, a sublayer within your map will display, you will need to turn it on to view: Here is where you can control the appearance of the indicator and the appearnce of the leader line as well. Hope this helps if anyone stumbles across this. Best, Amanda Huber

Hi @JohnathanHasthorpe, Thanks for your response. Yes, having more time options in the designer dropdown would be ideal for this product. Is 60 seconds the lowest it can go? I read through the JSON documentation and it sounded like it's either -1 or 600s with no options in between: Thanks again, Amanda Huber

Hi @JustinColville Thanks so much for clarifying this. Is there a reason why Esri doesn't support the deletion of tracks? Just curious. We have some users who forget to turn off their QuickCapture tracking (as there is no time interval setting like Field Maps) and end up tracking all their travels home and such. We'd like to clean up. Thanks, Amanda Huber

Hi @JustinColville, Thanks for your response and sharing that documentation. I'd like to clarify, when you say delete track lines directly are you referring to the service or something else? It appears when trying to edit the Tracker service directly though Map Viewer I am able to add or remove line segments manually but concerned if this will disrupt the overall product: The autimatically created service: What opening in Map Viewer, what editing looks like: Can you clarify why this above is possible, and if I were to delete segments in the service via Map Viewer would I break anything with the overall process (or corrupt it)? Thanks, just trying to wrap my head around how Tracker is configured. Best, Amanda Huber

Hello QuickCapture Team and/or @JohnathanHasthorpe , We recently discovered that QuickCapture's LocationTracking is limited to every 10 minutes. Even when editing the JSON to a lower interval, the project is restricted to none at all or 10min minimum. For those using QuickCapture in the field, it's imperitive that they can view their current location tracks on the map. We desprately need this solution to be equivilant with how ArcGIS Field Maps handles uploading Location Tracks: Currently we're using QuickCapture to conduct Aerial Deer Count surveys via helicoper. It's crucial that our team can see the area they've covered in real time. Is this planned for a future update? If not, is there someone we can speak with and provide all our use cases? Thank you, Amanda Huber

Hey AGOL Team, We would love to have the search box show up when the symbol grid is selected, similar how you currently support this in the list view: Thanks, Amanda Huber

I'm unable to find any documentation surrounding this, so thought I'd ask here- Does anyone know if there are any issues with deleting Tracks (line segments) from a tracks service? I just want to be sure this is a supported workflow and won't break/cause disruptions with how tracks are stored. Thanks, Amanda Huber

Hey ArcGIS Pro Team, When trying to refresh the data connections for an ArcGIS Online service, it appears the "Refresh" option on the connection is greyed out, unlike other database connections which do have this option available. Many times edits made in the AGOL environment are not reflected in ArcGIS Pro when open at the same time. This requires the user to completely close their Pro project and reopen to view changes made in the online environment. This is not ideal for most users. Unless I'm completely missing something, could you please add this to your list of enhancments? Thank you, Amanda Huber

Hello Data Pipelines Team, We have found a dire need for this tool to include general GIS tools such as "Clip" and "Erase" and other general GP tools in it's Toolbox. These are used universially across all walks of GIS. Please consider adding. Thank you, Amanda Huber

Background Maintaining healthy deer populations is an important part of natural resource management. Three Rivers Park District actively works to keep white-tailed deer herds in balance with the available habitat. Without control, deer populations increase to the point where they start to damage vegetation and deer/car collisions increase. Managed archery and shotgun deer hunts, as well as sharpshooters, are used to keep populations in balance with available habitat. As part of its deer management plan, aerial deer surveys are conducted every year in the winter months to help determine where high deer populations reside. Three Rivers developed its first plan for surveying and managing deer herds in 1978. Over the last 40 years, the deer herd has grown and expanded to the areas outside of the parks, and the need to manage the population has grown with it. Historically when conducting Aerial Deer surveys the data was collected using pen and paper. The wildlife manager would orient using a printed map while circling survey areas in a helicopter and mark deer counts on the map. At the end of the survey, these counts would then be entered into a variety of programs where the deer totals were tracked. Once entered, at the end of the season the count totals for each survey area were reported to the respective funding organization. The Rebuild In 2024 there was an initiative to rebuild the project and streamline the data collection process for 237,000 acres of land using GIS software. The wildlife team was looking for a tool that would fit the needs for quick data entry, ability for the map to orient as the helicopter turns, and a reporting tool for administrators and stakeholder. Our GIS team determined that ArcGIS QuickCapture would be the best tool for the job. Using QuickCapture wildlife staff are able to collect data with speed through a ‘big button’ interface. When a button is selected a point on the map is created and updates underlying ArcGIS Online Hosted Feature Layer with the ‘Deer Count’ attribute. In addition, Arcade FeatureSets are used to capture the information from the boundary area they're flying over and automatically add those attributes to the point as well. To ensure the accuracy of boundary information that automatically being captured, the GIS and Wildlife teams needed to address the topology of the Survey Boundary data. The prior boundary dataset was in dire need for cleanup, the data been passed along through many generations of wildlife employees and data quality was not taken into account. Using ArcGIS Pro, both teams determined that hand digitizing was needed and redefined these 114 boundaries to ensure the data being collected was correct. Deliverables To visualize final counts, the GIS team is constructing a dashboard for wildlife administrators to view a report of captured counts. Using a series of AGOL Hosted Views and ArcGIS Data Pipelines we ‘ve created a scheduled task that will query the current year’s aerial count locations and joined them to their respective polygon areas. This automation allows us to display and report statistics within the dashboard. We’re still in the process of constructing this but we will update the post once this final portion of the project is complete. Closing As we finalize building out the deliverables, we're exited to learn how this new process will improve the collection process and increase efficiency for our wildlife managers and communication to city stakeholders.
