We need a dashboard or other tool that checks each downloadable layer on our arcgis online open data site and reports back whether those layers are successfully downloading. Currently the only way we know there is a problem is if a user reports that a specific download isn't working. It would be great to be more proactive and be able to routinely verify that the downloads are working without having to manually go through and try downloading each one.

To finish this thread out for the benefit of others who may run into this issue, the problem was that I was being foiled by our corporate security. After working extensively with ESRI tech support and white-listing various domains, we reached a point where the required access exceptions to AWS were just too broad of an ask for our security team. Ultimately I was successful by re-deploying the Solution from outside of our organization's firewall (via our public WiFi connection). Jay

I hear there might be a Workforce update coming? We need more configuration options for both the Dispatcher app and the mobile worker app. Here is my wish list: Add legend widget to Dispatcher app and to Mobile Worker map Allow theming of headers in both Dispatcher app and Mobile Worker app (color, title & logos like in WAB) Allow customization of the scrolling Assignments list in the Dispatcher app to include additional attributes (ideally via Arcade!) Allow user to resize map/assignments panes in the Dispatcher app Thanks, Jay

When I use the ESRI Streets basemap in the Workforce Workers webmap the highway badge labels are blank when viewed on the mobile app on a phone (both Android and Apple). The badges show up, but there are no numbers in them. The same webmap looks fine on the desktop. If I look at the same webmap on mobile (Android phone) from AGOL it looks fine. If I look at it on mobile from within Workforce, no highway numbers. See attachment showing different behavior of the same webmap in Workforce vs. AGOL. Any thoughts? Jay

Joshua, I've never been able to get deployment tool to work properly for our organization. Earlier this year when I first tried to deploy Elections I ended up having to ask my ESRI contact in Sacramento do the deployment for me. When I try to deploy the Election Management Solution as suggested above (with "Use Existing Items in the Organization" unchecked), it goes through "Initializing..." for couple of minutes and then I get a pretty generic failure message. I have Version 2019.3.19 of the Deployment Tool and am on the latest version of Pro (2.4.2). Any suggestions? Jay

Josh, Thanks for looking at this. They all appear hosted from here: And the URL of the Election Geography appears to be hosted: https://services.arcgis.com/iCGWaR7ZHc5saRIl/arcgis/rest/services/ElectionGeography/FeatureServer I'm willing to try your suggestion - but will it wipe out what I already have, or just make a new one? Off to lunch, back in a bit. Jay

With the help of ESRI's Matthew Twietmeyer I've deployed the election Management Solution and need to add a field to the ElectionGeography hosted feature layer (Election Day Metrics table). I am the owner. I open the item details, go to Data, and select the Election Day Metrics table. In both Table and Fields views I see no "Add" functionality as described here: Add or delete a field—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation Strangely, I am able to add a field to the ElectionResults hosted layer (ElectionResults table). Any tips on how to accomplish this or why I don't see what I'm expecting here? Thanks, Jay

We have a map viewer we've developed using the ESRI Python API - do the licensing terms allowed us to show Sentinel2 data within this viewer?

In support of fire department deployment planning I'm generating Service Areas with the "Ready to Run Tools" in Pro 2.4.1. SETTINGS: Not Overlapping, Rings, Standard Detail, 300 ft clipping I've post-processed the results by clipping them to within 300 feet from my local roads dataset (to get rid of bogus fills in areas without roads). PROBLEM: In an area that contains a divided roadway the polygon boundaries are unacceptably jagged (see screen shot). 1) Is there any way to improve the appearance of these polygon boundaries? I've tried the "High" detail and that doesn't appear significantly better. 2) I'd REALLY prefer to sidestep these polygon issues entirely by having an output type of "line", rather than polygon. It appears this is an option that went away; is there any plan to bring that functionality back in Pro? To speak more broadly about this, it appears that the "Generate Service Areas" tool really works well if you are in a large urban area with regular street patterns, but has many problems in rural areas when it comes to the details of polygon generation at a fine scale. Filling in areas that are surrounded by roads (like a big lake) and creating these jagged polygon boundaries create a problem of perception when I show the results to customers. If the results look weird, the customers doubt the accuracy of the result. Jay Sandhu Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I am trying to use this canned Workforce app for elections management and we have a specific set of locations (polling places) that we will be managing service requests for. It doesn't make sense for us to have staff generate requests for a street address from a map click - instead they should be choosing from a defined list of locations where work will be required as shown on the map (and as defined in "Election Geography" in the Elections Solution). It seems like this use case of specific, pre-defined work locations would be pretty widespread. I can immediately see this applying to facilities management, where our county workers would typically get assigned to do work at one of our many county-owned facilities, and NOT at any random address on the map. Is what I'm describing outside of the current capabilities of Workforce? Thanks, Jay #election

Is it possible to configure the Assignments tab in Workforce? Specifically I'd like to add a descriptive location (name of polling place) to appear right after the Assignment type in the list. This would allow our manager to see which physical location has assignments at a glance, without having to interact with the map. Just starting to try out Workforce, in prep for the 2020 election. Thanks, Jay
