Further info...I can put an email link into the list in Operations Dashboard. After doing this, clicking on the newly created "Email Request" line in the list WILL launch a new window in which to compose an email, and will successfully #send an email but I can't figure out the #syntax for how to stick some of the field values into the Subject or Body of the email. I know I successfully did this once before, but nothing obvious is working and I can't find anything relevant in the documentation. The following DO NOT work, when included in the "Message Subject" box: {POLLPLACE} "{POLLPLACE}" "POLLPLACE" These all getting stuck into the resulting email as literals. I'm using Chrome browser. I imagine this is something really simple, but I don't see it. Jay

I have a list in a dashboard that displays info about the features from the map in the same dashboard. I want to include an email link along with the feature info in this list (via mailto:?) and to populate an email (subject, body) with some field info from the list. Does anyone have an example of how to do something like this? Thanks.

How can I create a hexagonal legend patch in Pro? I frequently use hexagonal grids (with the Summarize Within tool) and the legend patches would make more sense if it mirrored the hexagons on the map. Thanks, Jay

I'm mosaicing 3 rasters using the Pro 2.4 Mosaic to New Raster tool. The output displays a strange white striping (see screen shot). If I click in the white area, I get the correct raster cell value, so it seems like this is a display issue, not a data issue. If I then use Copy Raster, the output looks fine. If I use Mosaic to New Raster on the same three source rasters in Desktop, the output has the same striping issue. Any ideas? Jay

I've just been bitten by an unexpected behavior and am looking for input on why this happened. I created a Pro project (Test A), then created, edited, and saved a new model within the toolbox for that project. While this model was running (with project Test A open) I wanted to create some additional Models within that toolbox. So I opened a new project (Test B), then ADDED the toolbox from Test A to the Catalog pane for Test B. I created some models and saved them in the Test A toolbox, from within project Test B. All seems fine, the newly added models run with no problem, and saving with no warning. However, the new models never show up in the Test A project Catalog pane. I've saved within both projects, refreshed the Catalog pane within each project, and I'm seeing two different lists of models (see screen shot). What really GOT me with this is that after I closed the projects and then re-opened them, ONLY the models created within project Test A exist. All the other models I created and saved (apparently successfully) have vaporized. What is going on?

I uploaded a zipped shapefile to AGOL to create a hosted Feature Layer of HYDRANTS. I can see this hosted feature layer and edit it's points in AGOL. GOOD: From the item's Overview page in AGOL I can open this hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Pro (2.3.3) via opening the downloaded item.pitemx file and that works fine; I can see the features and edit them. BAD: However, when I try to open this hosted feature layer in ArcMap (10.6.1) I get nothing. DETAILS: 1) When I click Open in ArcGIS Desktop/Open in ArcMap from the item's Overview page I get the "item.pitem" download; when I try to open this file, it launches a new ArcMap desktop session, but no data layers are added to the map. 2) From ArcGIS desktop, if I try to "Add Data from ArcGIS Online", I can FIND the hosted feature layer, but when I click "Add" nothing happens. 3) Finally, if I go to Add Data, My Hosted Services, I can see that layer and add it successfully. However, I can't edit it directly. The only way I've found to edit it is via "Create Local Copy for Editing". I am logged in to AGOL within ArcMap desktop. Are these differences between AGOL/Pro, and Map expected? Jay

My workplace has a lot of internet security measures that often cause issues, so I tried deploying from home and had about 50% success. Finally, I called my regional ESRI rep and he deployed it from within the ESRI mothership. Said this was a heavy network traffic lift, so it was not unusual to have problems...

In our county's Open Data site (http://explore-washoe.opendata.arcgis.com/) I have added a gallery card called "Other Popular Maps and Apps" that features our StoryMaps. However, when the user clicks on the "Explore" button for one of these StoryMaps, the StoryMap does not launch. Instead, the user is taken to the Item Details page for that StoryMap. Firstly, WHY would I ever want that behavior? Secondly, can I configure "Explore" to launch the actual StoryMap instead? Maybe a gallery card isn't what I need to use to accomplish this? The ArcGIS Solutions Deployment Tool is a total fail for us. I'm connected to ArcGIS Online as the portal, so this "easy" tool is failing for no clear reason.
