Hi, the language used is determined by your device's language setting. The message shows the current location accuracy on your device as well as the horizontal accuracy set for this QuickCapture project. You can update the recommended and required horizontal accuracy from the Web designer > Project general settings > Horizontal accuracy. Note you cannot capture a record until the required accuracy threshold has been met, so you may want to increase this value for your project in order to capture a record.

The template app itself always starts with version 1.0.1 in AppStudio. The QuickCapture team used to update this template to match the capability of the latest QuickCapture release but stopped at version 1.11 (September 2021 release). But if strongly requested, the team will update the QuickCapture template per request.

It is important to share your QuickCapture project properly so your mobile workers can access and use it successfully. Here are all of the ways to share that you need to know. Share your project from the QuickCapture website Before sharing a QuickCapture project with your mobile users from the designer, as the project administrator, you must select the sharing level as well as sharing options. Also, to successfully access and download the project in the QuickCapture mobile app, the mobile users need to be assigned the Field Worker user type or an Editor user type with a QuickCapture add-on license. See ArcGIS account requirements for details. Select a Sharing level option: Owner—By default, the project is kept to yourself and only you can see it after signing in from the mobile app. Your organization—Sharing with your organization means members of your organization can see and use the project. Everyone (Public)—Sharing with everyone makes your project public; anyone including anonymous users can find and use your project. To share a project that’s created with ArcGIS Online publicly, your organization must have ArcGIS Hub Premium enabled. Enterprise users can share projects publicly without this limitation. Group sharing—Sharing with groups allows users from specific groups to use the project. Group sharing can be used in addition to any sharing level. Note: The feature layers and map that are used in the QuickCapture project will also be shared to the same sharing level. Sharing options provide a quick way to share the project with mobile users. Once the project has been shared successfully, mobile users can access and download the project. Depending on the sharing options selected, a mobile user can click a link directly, scan the QR code, or enter a unique code to download the project. If not signed into the app first, users will also need to provide account credentials and sign in to the organization in the mobile app before project download. Share via link Share via link– Share the project using a short link. Sharing a project via a link allows mobile users to access the project by clicking the link from their device. This will download and open the project automatically in the mobile app. If the QuickCapture app has not been installed on the device, the link will instead show the place—for example, the App Store or Google Play—where the app can be installed. Share via QR code Share via QR code– Share a project using a code that mobile users can scan with the app's bar code scanner or an external scanner on the device. Sharing a project via a QR code allows mobile users to access the project directly by scanning a QR code with the app's built-in bar code scanner, the device’s camera, or any QR code scanner on the device. This will download and open the project automatically in the mobile app. If the QuickCapture app has not been installed on the device, the code will instead show the place—for example, the App Store or Google Play—where the app can be installed. Share via Access code Access code (for public projects on ArcGIS Online)—Share a project with a unique code (case sensitive). This option won’t be available if the project is created with ArcGIS Enterprise. The Access code capability is designed for ArcGIS Hub Premium customers to distribute public projects easily. But you can also use the link or QR code to share your public project with no problem. Public QuickCapture projects can be downloaded into the mobile app without the need to sign in with an ArcGIS account. See Share a QuickCapture project to learn more about sharing QuickCapture projects in the designer. Browse projects shared with you After the project is successfully shared, mobile users can immediately see the project available for download in the mobile app. They can sign in to the app and click Browse projects to find the project shared with them. Share QuickCapture projects as a mobile user Mobile users can share projects with other mobile users as long as the project has been properly shared with both of them. As a mobile user, this hidden gem is helpful when you happen to leave project download information behind and the project administrator is not around to resend that information to you—you can ask a field colleague who already had the project downloaded to share it with you. To do this, your colleague clicks the project Info button in the mobile app, and the project sharing options will be generated by the app. This information can be either sent as a link via a text message or shared as a QR code so you can scan in person. Perhaps the only drawback is that the sharing options won’t be available if the device is offline, as such information must be generated with a network connection.

Hi @TakahiroKAMIYA Thanks for bringing up this question. First, to explain the error message you saw for the project: In ArcGIS QuickCapture, every QuickCapture project has a hidden property in its project JSON called 'minVersion'. This property is to make sure when the project is configured to use a certain feature that is introduced at a certain version, the mobile app is also up to date to consume it. If the app version (e.g. 1.8.x) < project minVersion (e.g. 1.10.x), the error message will show to indicate an app update is required. This behavior is as designed for the ArcGIS QuickCapture product. Move on to the QuickCapture template in AppStudio. The template in AppStudio always comes with a template app version of 1.0.1. So when you use this template app directly, it will encounter the issue I described above. To fix this error message is easy. You can manually fix the template app version to be 1.11.x from the appinfo.json file, which should be more than enough for the projects' minVersion. The template app version is constructed as major.minor.micro, so you can update the template app version (at the very bottom of the appinfo.json file) to be below for example: "version": { "major": 1, "micro": 0, "minor": 11 } Note that the micro number gets incremented every time when you upload the app in AppStudio, but it won't cause an impact as long as App version number < Project's minVersion number is met in general. Hope this makes sense and helps. Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi @PamBlackmore QuickCapture supports capture oriented imagery. In QuickCapture's existing configuration, 'Streaming points' and 'Single point' are two different capture modes. Streaming points doesn't support take photo(s) but only collect points at specified distance interval. Single point does support take photo(s), and mobile user needs to manually tap the button in order to take the photo/capture a record. You can also configure buttons to Hide camera preview to make the photo capture automatic without opening the camera preview page when the button is pressed. We do not support 'Stream photos' at the moment, which may fit what you've described above better. Would be helpful if you can share a bit more about your workflow and requirements. Feel free to post it to QuickCapture ideas. Thanks!

Hi @SB99 See this help topic and this post, it looks like it's the best practice to store data in UTC time as a standard, and later you can convert (or display) the time to the correct local time zone.

Hi @Gisbert61 The 'jumpy' points (spikes) are likely to happen when the device has a poor cellular or wifi signal, as the location is estimated from sources like GPS satellites, the closest Wi-Fi networks, and nearby cell towers. We've seen this more often on Android devices than iOS devices, but feel free to let us know if you persistently see this issue during future testing. A dedicated external GPS receiver definitely gives you higher location accuracy and provides a location fix faster, than the built-in GPS on the device. You could take a look at "Horizontal accuracy" in project Settings. This will force the app to only accept points that meet the required horizontal accuracy. However, it is not a solution for the spikes issue above, as sometimes the spiky point will have good horizontal accuracy, even though they fell at the wrong location.

Hi @kmsmikrud The id of an existing user input should not change if no updates were made to it. However, if a new user input is created, or an existing user input is deleted and recreated, the project simply assigns a new id to this new user input, to make sure each id is unique in JSON. Grab the user input id after the project configuration is done, or if new changes are made to the project, please double-check if the user input id is correctly referenced.

@Anonymous User First we could try to check if the refresh token is expired - when the refresh token is expired and the user is still in the project, the user can still press the send button, but nothing happens. To rule this out, you can close the project and go back to 'My workspace' page, click the user thumbnail, and see if there's a warning message to ask you to re-enter your password. If this doesn't help, we will need to check the app's logging to see what went wrong. To enable logging, go to the app menu again, press the hold the About option for 6 seconds until the Reset option shows up. Now click the Settings option, scroll down, switch on Logging. You will notice a floating icon shows up now, that's where the logging info is stored. Now you can repeat the workflow you described in the issue and try to send the records again from your device. If it fails again, click on the floating icon and check the 'Upload' tab. Take a screenshot and send it to us (or if anything went wrong, messages will show as red on this page now). Let me know if you find anything.

Hi @Embeez QuickCapture is localized already, see its Supported languages. For the mobile app, the language used is determined by your device's language setting. For the web designer, the default language is determined by your ArcGIS organization user language setting. When a user is not signed in to an ArcGIS organization, the web browser settings are used by the web designer.
